We were in Mobile Alabama the night before & our beloved cat just began wailing in pain so we rushed him to the vet where they asked us to leave him for a couple of days but since we were moving to Florida and needed to get in for a new position we could leave him & being it was 6 am, we called this location to ask about an early check in due to the medical emergency. The man on the phone sounded irritated but said after 12 pm we could check in. We headed to this location after driving 5 hours and getting zero sleep that night due to our poor baby screaming in pain. I got out & went to check in & immediately was met by Rad, an indian man who looked really annoyed and angr "Hi my husband called earlier about our emergency..." before I could speak he interrupted saying, "I told him you cant check in until after 2!" I was shocked bc thats not what was said on the call prior to leaving Alabama. I said, "No, you said 12, not 2." He said, "No! I said 2 pm, my maids can not get the room you requested ready!" I said, "we will take any room that is available, I have to get my cat out of the car & comfortable as he is in a lot of pain." He said, "You have a cat!? No way, we dont allow cats only dogs!" It said, "pet friendly" not "dog friendly only" so again I was shocked, exhausted & disheartened. I turned to go outside to relay the news to my husband and Rad yelled saying, "This is non refundable!" I said, "I will be disputing with my cc company. The worst experience we have ever had!
