Upon check in I explained to the staff member my Japanese was not very good and asked them to speak slowly. They spoke fast. I asked them again to slow down but they continued to speak fast. It was a little embarrassing for me. The elevator takes a while since there is only one. The room was a standard business hotel room, but the pillows were hard, and there was an incredible amount of dust collecting behind the TV. On the other hand, the onsen was nice, and parking was free and convenient.

Amazing staff

So convenient for the station, just steps away. The room was compact but nicely done. The bathroom was older and very small but this was my only concern. The staff were amazingly helpful, couldn't ask for better service, and Takeo is a lovely laid back place with excellent train connections

Conveniently located just beside the train station. Received a warm & friendly welcome. I got a self made bookmark! Has an awesome public bath. Always love this Japanese feature. Rooms are great. Japanese toilets are awesome!

Great price. Breakfast was definitely Japanese style, but good. Got a Superior Double Room - Yes double bed, but up against a wall so really no space to move around for 2 people. However, the bed was comfortable.

As others have mentioned, the main building is older, while the annex is newer. But, the main is remodeled and was comfortable enough. Nothing special, but it was directly adjacent the train station.

Breakfast was the best yet and staff were great and position is near the rail, but their rooms have outdated bathroom modules which have a high step in and out. These were new ideas 20 years ago but i was 20 yrs younger then and despite the warning sign designed to limit liability the had no grab bars which would have helped getting in and out. At 70 i consider myself reasonably agile but i still managed to pull my achilles tendon and will now have to reduce my activity over the last couple of weeks of my holiday. These bathrooms are not suitable for older tourists or thouse with restricted abilities.

Front of the station, you won't miss it. Very good hot spring however, not running water. One thing I would say, noting around hotel and station. Difficult to find dinner place especially night time.

It being a 1 min walk away from the train station was a major plus for me. It is a great location to have day trips to Arita and Imari, if you are into pottery. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic!

I like that the hotel is next to the train station. That’s the only plus I can see. The room is too small and good for one person. My husband and I were bumping each other and we don’t know where to put the luggage to open it. Breakfast time is by schedule. You will be provided a breakfast time, and sorry if you missed your time slot.
