Large room, very comfortable bed, gracious uniformly helpful staff. Good food from room service. Stayed four nights. 5/5! About the best hotel stay I've had. Taipei has excellent subway system but long walks or (inexpensive) taxis frequently required.

I want to point out that this is an old Taiwan hotel. Not Hong Kong or New York. With that said, this hotel is great. I think this makes my 10th or 11 stay here. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Shower/bath room is very nice. beds are comfortable and TV will end play English stations!! The breakfast downstairs is good and filling. Food is fresh. service is OK. Front desk is the best. all 10 of my stays.. the stay knows me by name and is very helpful. Infact, they ordered me a pizza one night as I was getting tired as Asian food. Lots of good places to walk and very safe (as the police academy is across the street.

Nice hotel with well trained friendly stafff. Hotel is conveniently located. This was my third stay in this hotel in Taipei. Highly recommended.

I don't want everyone staying because then there would be no room for ME ! But really it is top notch hotel with a great resturant for breakfast or dinner ! Book now before I take your room again ! :)

Nice service, clean room. i will come back again.Thank you

I have stayed at the Riviera many times and have never been disappointed. It is in nice location for my business purposes. The hotel staff are always polite and helpful. I do have one criticism though. The room can be cold in the winter and you have to ask for a space heater from housekeeping.

The Riviera Hotel is usually my home away from home when I am staying in Taipei. The rooms are comfortable, good location for me and the buffet breakfast has lots to choose from...for Western and Eastern tastes. Staff speaks very good English and have always been very helpful.

Tasteful decor and friendly staff made our Taipei stay a memorable experience. I especially liked the roof top terrace with great views to the mountains and the Grand Hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel 5 or 6 times now. They always greet you at the front door. Always smiling. the staff is so friendly. Rooms are nice. they are small suites. with a small office space. Internet is good and work well. Food is good and fresh an coffee is great. No complaints for this advisor.

After reading the other reviews I decided to try this hotel. I found what was written to be accurate but want to add my comments. 1. The hotel is impeccably clean! No dirt anywhere! Even the AC vents are clean (I checked for the sake of allergies.) 2. Distance to MRT was about a 10 minute walk or less. There is much to see as you walk so I found myself doing it just for fun. After breakfast it was a nice way to get the day going. 3. Bathrooms. I always get nervous when a hotel doesn't provide a picture but I was pleasantly surprised. It was modern, up to date and very comfortable. It was done in marble and chrome. SINK HAD three mirrors so you could see.all around and toothbrushes, razors, robe...we're replaced every morning. 4. Exercise room is located on the roof and provides a view of the city. It has free weights, two treadmills, yoga maps, bottled water, towels and all the other stuff. Use it early in the morning as the.humidity and heat of the day will challenge you. The chefs herb garden is nearby so the aroma is fantastic! 5. Hotel staff. The best ever! Eager to help, bending over to please! They all spoke and understood english making the stay easy. I asked one to teach me some Taiwanese and she went out of her way to help me. I was in town for an engineering conference and feel that this hotel was the perfect choice. The business room on the top floor is comfortable, quite and inviting! I look forward to coming back again!

Stayed in this hotel for 5 days for business. Reasonable location (half way between Neihu and city center), very clean rooms and attentive staff. Good taste and style in everything. Got free internet and breakfast. An extra - very nice European steak restaurant on the first floor - try this one out. Not the fanciest hotel, but no problems whatsoever and probably the best you can get for this $$ range.

This will be my 5th stay at the Riveria hotel. While this is not the fanciest hotel I stay at, it is really the most comfortable and feels like home. The staff is so friendly. I came in very tired after working in 4 countries in 9 days. while the restaurants in the hotel is very good, they new I was ready for some western food! Before I finished checking in, the desk person had a PIZZA menu on her computer and placed the order for me. its little things like this that make boutique hotels worth the money. The rooms are clean. Western TV. Big plus overseas to watch the news. they are near to everything. Just a very nice place to stay and work or relax.

The Riviera has 5star service. They would rank at the top of all hotels we have stayed at for service and friendliness. Very warm greeting when we checked in with free coffee and tea. We took a cab everywhere we went and they always took the time to write in mandarin where we were going and make sure we had a card of hotel so we could tell taxi where we we wanted to go on our return. The breakfast was a nice touch.

This was a wonderful hotel. The service was outstanding and the food delicious. Unfortunately, I was only there for one night so I did not have much time to explore. The pictures on the website make the rooms look dataed, but that is not the case

We thoroughly enjoyed our five night stay at the Rivera. Staff was very helpful, offering advice, booking tours, and giving directions. Our room was a very good size and had all the comforts and conveniences we could have wanted--quiet, comfortable bed, good sized bath with nice toiletries and lighted mirror, flat screen tv with HBO,cinemax and CNN, security safe, 110 outlets throughout the room and free internet access. The hotel also had a lovely executive garden on the 7th floor, with couches, chairs, and a computer to use. There was a fitness center and track on the roof level and a lounge on the first floor with another computer. The breakfast buffet was included with our room rate and it was a good one. The hotel offers a free one-way shuttle to Taipei 101 on weekends; getting back was easy with the MRT system as the Yongshan station was about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is also a few blocks from the airport bus dropoff; we took the airport bus to the hotel ($3 US per person and took a cab back to the airport at the end of the trip $40US). We took a city tour and independently visited the wonderful National Palace Museum and other sites as well as the Beitou hot springs and the Shinlin night market (one MRT stop from the Yongshan). The hotel staff was absolutely wonderful, really enhancing the quality of our trip. I highly recommend this hotel
