The Cosmos Hotel has a prime location by Taipei Main Station, right next to the M3 exit (so, not accessible from inside the station, but a very short walk from an exit with escalators going up and down, albeit with two unavoidable steps, if you are traveling with tons of luggage, a stroller, or a wheelchair). This location was ideal for access to Taiwan's biggest transportation hub. It made for a quick getaway via the MRT Airport Shuttle (though best to get there walking above ground). I had a windowless room which was fine. Room and bathroom were immaculate, but the 11th floor hallway had a weird urea-like smell that I didn't notice everywhere. Beds were comfortable, WiFi worked well, there's also an Ethernet cable. Bathroom was clean, excellent water pressure. Amenity toiletries were large bottles bolted to the wall as opposed to sample/carry on size. I opted for the buffet breakfast, which included an automatic cappuccino machine, chefs making eggs to order, a congee station, and various options to suit its mostly Chinese, Japanese, and Korean clientele. I didn't try the muesli, yogurt, sausage, or bacon though I didn't get a sense it was well suited to Western palates. Staff were efficient, helpful, and courteous. There are other mid-range hotels in Taipei with significantly more compelling amenities, but the Cosmos Hotel has the unbeatable advantage of its location.

Location ok with MTR and shopping malls downstairs. Room size acceptable for hk standard. Bedding was comfy, but bathroom can be cleaner. Breakfast was served on the next hotel across the ground entry. The food was basic and mainland focus, and there’s not much choices otherwise.

It's located in a very convience location. The hotel is overall pretty nice. However, the sound proof of the room isn't very good. It can get annoying if you have loud neighbors. The bathroom is very small and especially the bathtub it's like kid size.

We had a great stay at Cosmos. Great hospitality. Very good buffet breakfast, reasonable rates. Nice triple room. Needs new carpets and mold removed from tile grout in bathroom. Facilities are old but well maintained. Bedding was comfortable and relatively quiet. Room did not face Civic Blvd.

Over price, dirty carpet, convenient to all transportation,in overall safe neighborhood

I like the location, I took MRT from airport to hotel, I took MRT every day to the museum, the parks, the zoo, the night market. I ate in the food court and shop in the Central Train Station. The last day I was in Taipei, I did airline pre check-in in the train station, put my heavy luggage away. the China Airline and Eva Airline set up a Service Station in the Train Station. After that I went to Linkou Outlet window shopping until 9pm to go to airport .

We took subway to every where for sightseeing and for dinner. The

I enjoyed the time that we stayed there for four days.

If one wants convenience to all forms of transportation in Taipei and for a reasonable priced hotel, this is the one.

Best location in Taipei and best value for 4 stars hotel in the area.

Great hotel to stay, we will go back again! Great location & Shopping.

LOCATION IS DECENT, CLOSE TO MAIN STATION .. ROOMS ARE DATED BUT CLEAN.

clean and well-maintained. staff are friendly. good improvement from our last stay in Jan. 2014.

The superior double room has no window, I feel a little chated, but overall the hotel is very comfortable, the location is the best that you chould find. Very close to eveerything

After just coming from hong kong where the staff was very rude, This hotel staff were extremely friendly. Even the house keeping staff was always smiling and just really good. Rooms were super clean, breakfast was great, however, the beds are a bit hard, but was not too bad. the location could not get any better. next to the train station, you are able to get anywhere. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. You can't be the value for the money!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Room service was delicious. The location was convenient for getting to the airport.
