CityInn Hotel Taipei Station Branch II

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The hotel is relatively conveniently located - a 5 - 8 minute walk from the North 3 exit of the Taipei Main Station (which by the way is a very large complex in itself). Fast food restaurants and a convenience store are located nearby - so no worries about late night/post-drinking hunger pangs - those can be easily taken care of. Hotel room itself is cosy, clean and spacious enough. Laundry facilities and dining area are provided downstairs!

We were happy we decided to stay at CityInn Branch 2. 1. Location is one of the important aspect in choosing a hotel. CityInn Branch 2 is strategically located with the Taipei Main station and the Zhongshan station a 5 minute walk away. KFC, McDonald's, 7-11 is just across the street from the hotel. A number of good Taiwanese Breakfast place is also a walking distance away. 2. Hotel Rooms are descent, quaint and clean. It may be small, but for us, this was acceptable. The bed was comfortable, there is an electric kettle for coffee and tea, a small refrigerator, and a writing table. The coffee/tea/water bottle and chips are replenished daily. The bathroom is well lit, with amenities provided like the soap and shampoo in dispensers, which by the way, smell so good, a hair dryer, toothbrush, etc. 3. Hotel lobby has an inviting ambiance. It has lots of chairs/seats to accommodate guests. We love that there is a pantry that has a supply of freshly brewed coffee, tea, milk and water. There is a refrigerator and a washing machine and a weighing scale for your luggage. 4. CityInn Branch 2 hotel staffs were very courteous, helpful, caring and thoughtful. They will gladly answer your query, search for it in the internet, and always with a SMILE. One afternoon, we got caught in the heavy rains, and a staff, Ms. Joanne, welcomed us with towels. It was a memorable birthday weekend. The staff surprised me with a wonderful, personalized birthday card and delicious slices of cake. It was a warm and thoughtful gesture that I will never forget. Thank you to all the staff....Sarah, Mia, Joanne, Amy, Tim, Sam, and especially DUDU. We highly recommend CityInn Branch 2 , A HOME AWAY FROM HOME.

Cityinn is our second home in Taipei. With a very great location, it takes only 45 mins from airport to the hotel by MRT. The staff there are as nice as always. Thanks Amber for the smooth check in and her assistance for making on day reservation at 無老鍋 -strongly recommend this restaurant if you like spicy hot pot. Special thanks to Dudu for the room reservation and room assignment with the room on high level. Our room was clean and spacious. Also thanks him and Sam who work at the night shift for the restaurant recommendations on our next day at Dong Qu. The restaurant - 樂軒 with bbq wagu was real good. It was a little pricey but worth going. Also thanks Joanne for booking us the departure transfer. We are happy to meet her again after 2 years and she still remember us. Overall a 10 out of 10 accomodation experience. Can't wait for out next trip to Taipei again.

Great service upon check in, given a room at the top floor with window. All the staffs in the hotel were friendly and helpful as they treat you as your own friend and they make you feel at home. The three lady staff would recommend breakfast around the area and also ask you need that they could assist in every morning. The 2 guy staffs on the night shift were also very good. One of them was Dudu which recommend us on the various places to eat with the shops name, what to buy back and the places for sightseeing. He also provides lots of information on a printed paper on how to get to Jiufen and Shifen and also the places that you must visit. The other guys also help us with the laundry every day and when it was full; he offered to help us wash and dry it and offered us to collect it from the front desk the next morning. Only a 5 mins walk from Taipei Main Station and very convenient with shops 7-11, KFC and McDonald’s. The room is clean and the bed was comfy and pillow was just nice. TV size was great with the own customized theme of the hotel user interface upon turning on the TV with the various options such a “Live TV”, “Weather Update”, “Flight Information” etc.). Bathroom size was great with a good shower head with all the items are provided. There is a pantry on Level 1 which provides drinks such as ice lemon tea, coffee, tea and hot water. Laundry was available for free with 3 washing machines and dryers for use. The corridors also have a nice scented smell which is refreshing. There is also an order list for McDonald’s breakfast which you could order and the staff would deliver to your room in the morning. Hotel also provide various options for tarts and pastries orders from different well known shops to be brought home that is deliver to the hotel thus saving your hassle looking for it. There was only 1 lift although it was abit small but it was fine. Improvements could be made to have more power sockets in the room as there were only 3 available (1 next to bed side, 2 at desk) which was not sufficient for 2 person as you would need to charge your phone, camera batteries and also need to boil water. The door does not have a peep hole so it’s quite troublesome at times when you need to see who is outside. Also, a toilet bowl washlet could be provided as it would be convenient at times.

Only a 5 minutes walk to Taipei Main Station and Bus station, with McDonald's and KFC just across the road, the convenience of the hotel is already a big plus. The service in this hotel is also impeccable. With extremely friendly staffers offering advice on where to go in Taipei, and what foods to try, to helping us with our Laundry when the washing machines are fully in use. They will literally try their best to assist you to their best abilities.

We loved our stay here. It's crazy how inexpensive hotels are in Taiwan, and yet they still offer impeccable service. The rooms are small and windowless but are cheerfully decorated. The staff are what make this hotel -- they are extremely helpful and go out of their way for you. The staff even sent us a bottle of champagne and a handwritten card for our honeymoon!

This is the first time I stay here. I like their service a lot. Friendly staffs, comfortable environment, and most importantly convenient location (3 mins to Taipei Station). I will definitely come back again.

CityInn Hotel II is a hotel that is near Taipei Main Station. It is just beside CityInn Hotel III (another branch). What makes this hotel exemplary from other hotel is the location, ambience, cleanliness and above all the hospitality of ALL staff. ALL hotel staff will assist you / help you in every way that they can. It feels like you are talking to a friend. The room I've booked is without a window (they are always fully booked). It was very clean although not a new room/new building. I thought there would be an issue if there is no window but it's not bad. They provide coffee/tea PLUS snacks facility that you wouldn't find in any other hotels (snacks are not complimentary). The room smells lovely. WIFI is fast and reliable. Bathroom has all the amenities you need. Although the hotel does not provide breakfast, the location is opposite KFC, Mcdonalds, 7-11 and other local food stalls/places. The hotel provides complimentary 24/7 coffee/tea/juices pantry. They also provide complimentary self service laundry (free detergent powder and dryer sheet). The only downside of this hotel is a bellboy who can help with the luggages upon arrival. Also, the iron board is set-up to a public hall. They don't provide iron / ironboard inside the rooms but this is really not an issue. The room I've stayed in (Room 311) has an issue with main door closing (you have to pull it really hard to close if you are leaving) but this was already reported. Advise to new taipei travellers: CityInn 2 can assist you with booking an English taxi driver to take you Jiufen / Shifen / Gold Mine and other places for a lower fee than taking an online private taxi. One of the staff Dudu has provided us a printed document about things to do in Jiufen/Shifen as soon as he knew that we've booked for a tour taxi. He included his own personal advise. He also provided us breakfast on our last day. The breakfast sandwich and iced tea was great! I wish we could have known it sooner! (way better than KFC/McDonalds). It is in chinese character so I don't know how to explain the breakfast food. The english taxi driver provided us tips and history of the places. I wish during that time it wasn't raining heavily so we could have enjoyed the tour more.. A big thank you to the wonderful staff of City Inn 2 (Dudu, Sam, Cathleen, Shenny and others)! You guys are more than amazing!

Stayed in their family room for a night. The beds were queen-sized but the mattresses were comfortable. The morning sunlight entered indirectly into the room from the toilet glass door. It affected the quality of sleep for me. We like the complimentary drinks in the room and lobby as well as the hotel's location convenient for transport and food.

Amazing service by the team @ Cityinn Taipei II. Very clean room. Good location and most importantly, its attentive and friendly staff made our stay at Cityinn wonderful. Also, to our surprise, hotel staff realised it was my husband's birthday (they must have gathered this info from his passport) and the staff, Dudu, delivered a personalised birthday card & yummy Tiramisu cakes all the way to our room!! Thank you, Cityinn Taipei Branch II!
