*Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events. While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.

The bright, sunny, open floor plan in this wonderful home is made to order for family and friends to gather in comfort.
Upstairs, guests will find a spacious great room with a fully equipped kitchen (even doing dishes can be enjoyable with a lake view), dining for all, a comfortable seating area with flat screen TV, DVD and a woodstove on a fabulous rock hearth. Two sliding doors open onto the sunny deck that wraps around the house. Enjoy your morning coffee in the sunshine or watch dusk fall over the lake while relaxing on the deck.
Important, this property does not have air conditioning. Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe.
The master bedroom which has a King Bed with a full en suite bath is also on this floor as well as a guest half bath.

There are 2 bedrooms downstairs - one with a queen bed and the last bedroom has a bunk bed (single/single) and a single with a trundle. There is a full bath for these bedrooms to share.

During the winter you are about 15 minutes to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Homewood ski areas.
During the summer you can leave your car at the home and enjoy Commons Beach (local favorite for lakeside live music and weekly movies), world class restaurants, shopping, farmers market, golf, galleries and local coffee shops. Plus, Watch the July 4th Fireworks from your deck!

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
-The garage is not accessible to vehicles in the winter months.
-The main driveway is only plowed up to the bear bin, so parking is limited to a parking pad off the road, just past the house. There is a walkway from this parking area to the house.
-This parking pad 2 can fit 2 standard vehicles or 1 truck. In the summer, both parking areas are available to vehicles.

IMPORTANT:
On March 11th 2022, the county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing. Some Highlights include:
•Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time.
•Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up.
•Parking is limited to the following number of spaces: 4 in Summer, 2 in Winter

POLICIES & DISCLOSURES
1. 2021 Update: Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
2.As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
3.By local laws we have to charge a 12% occupancy tax (10% TOT tax + 2% TBID tax) with every booking. TBID, is placed on lodging, retail, restaurant and recreation businesses in North Lake Tahoe to raise money for visitor services, business support and advocacy, economic development, tourism mitigation and transportation services.

Great long weekend in Tahoe City

We had a great time at the cabin--the living space was super comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked for group dinners, and we loved the board games, movies, and Xbox with Just Dance and other games! We parked 2 sedans on the flat parklet and could easily have fit 2 more cars on the sloped driveway--though in worse weather you would definitely need 4wd/etc. for the driveway. Downtown and the lake were both an easy walk away. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect vacation!

Absolutely loved our stay. Enveloped by nature with spectacular view from master slider, living room slider, and kitchen window. Wrap around porch beneath the trees - so nice! Location is just a few blocks uphill from main drag in tahoe city. Sensational view, well appointed with plenty of throw blankets. Much larger than expected. Plenty of room. We will be back!!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The unit was clean, and there was good communication prior to arrival on what to expect and how to access the unit. It is a great location, convenient to restaurants and shops in Tahoe City and to skiing at Palisades. We would definitely return to stay here.

Very nice cabin

This is a very nice, well appointed cabin. The stove and dishwasher are updated from the photos. The walkway was well maintained despite the heavy snow this winter. It’s close to town.

Great location and house

Amazing location for access to Tahoe Cities amenities: restaurants, muni golf, burton creek park with myriad trails, etc. The house layout works great with a big open space and kitchen with great views. The extra half bath is always a nice bonus. Only negative was that the photos do not show deck furniture. Called agency prior to arrival to confirm whether deck furniture was there and while they sounded personal and nice, never followed up. Otherwise this would be a 5 star.
