Nice location close to Lake Tahoe and other areas.

This place has a lot going for it, but naturally it depends on what you need, want or expect. It is built on a hillside with a variety of buildings that make up the rentable rooms. The Pool and Hot Tub are at the bottom of the hill, and your room/building might be up the hill. The rooms and décor were clean enough, but very dated and uninspired. I imagine it could be very good for a family coming to the area to go sledding. Our simple motel-like room had a large open closet area in which would be good for hanging wet clothes/coats/sleds/skis. The beds were soft and overall we slept well. Our room had a mini-fridge, a microwave and a pod coffee maker. I wish the various room lights (floor lamps in corners and a couple near the bed) were brighter; the room felt dreary at night instead of inviting. We didn't have the opportunity to try the 'resort' restaurant, but opted to drive the 5-10 minutes into town instead for more options, and brought milk and cookies back with us from the SaveMart for dessert. The trees around the place are quite nice, and although I felt the cost (for a night) was far too high for what the place is, I also understand that Lake Tahoe offerings are always at a premium price. In short: functional, but nothing to write home about.

The lobby and check in area is old , tired and hard to find and get to. There didn’t seem to be adequate help. Two mornings I tried calling between seven and 730 - no one at desk. It was warm and there is no air-conditioning in room . Pool area is old and messy-chairs and deck furniture R outdated and some were broken, umbrella on the ground. The decking is old and, the hot tub doesn’t look like it’s getting fixed anytime soon. So sad.

Great hotel in the middle of the forest. Great restaurant and service. Great activities for kids. Loved it.

They were able to check me in early. I also got a free upgrade.

Cabin style room no AC - everything decent, location short drive not walk away from the action, Room rates higher then my valued amenity offering

Unfortunately the staff did not during check in to mention the amenities that are unique to the property and any special activities. We missed a really fun camp fire event since there was no information about activities.

The room set up was great and we liked the property. Will definitely look to stay here again.

The property was beautiful. The trail around the hotel, the tree top adventure next to it mad it unique. I have one BIG COMPLAIN. We chose this expensive hotel to spend a nice evening. At 8:30 pm we ask for a glass of wine, a bear and a bottle of water. We were told everything was closed due o other events and that they could not help in anyway. The vending machine wasn't working so we couldn't even have a bottle of water. Why spend this money on a hotel that can't provide us with a glass of wine. I'll never come back and I'll write a review on yelp. I should have gone to a chip hotel.

Very nice and kids sledding area. Kids love it. Room is very good, buffet is very good.

Gorgeous place to stay when you’d like quite to get away from the city. The room was small but it was good for us. They didn’t have coffee cups in the morning so we called the front desk and they were at our door within 5 minutes. Great and very friendly employees. Would definitely come back if we came to Tahoe City again!

Very nice and family friendly hotel. There's good breakfast every morning, and dinner at the restaurant is very awesome.

Great value, location, and one of the better breakfast buffet I've seen for a lodge/resort. My room was a last minute booking and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room and amenities at this resort. I would definitely come back again and this lodge will be my top choice. Room: solid 4 star room. Clean, modern, functional, and well heated. The room was small but I wasn't spending my entire day in the room. The heated floor in my bathroom was a bonus. Breakfast: I was expecting a continental breakfast and was surprised by the full hot breakfast. Eggs benedict, toast, fresh fruit, bread pudding. etc. A great value for the price of the room.

Very convenient location for skiing in North Tahoe resorts.

This was a good location hotel close to all Northern activities.

The hotel, overall, is quite nice. Our room was showing age and was rather small for the price. But the staff was great, as was the breakfast buffet.

beds very comfy, got upgraded, lots of towels, complimentary coupons were the best.

Thank you for your rating and review Bryce. I feel that you capture our resort well in your words, and these will guide other potential guests in their decision making process. We are a classic Tahoe destination with great proximity to so much that North Lake Tahoe has to offer. We hope that you will be back, maybe in winter.
