PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney

We had late checkein due to delayed flight and staff was helpful to get us settled in our room . Very good wifi in room. Walkable to darling harbor

We upgraded to the club package. We had an excellent breakfast and appetizers every evening (not truly appetizers as there were always hot selections for a main course available). All the wait staff, receptionists, concierge could not do enough to be helpful. Our package even included complimentary laundry.

just watch when checking they will deduct $100 for each day of your stay. Outstanding credit balance from this holding will take 5 - 10 days to appear back in your account only after some prompting.

Good, clean hotel. Stayed on Club level, which had nice amenities.

Park Royal is a really nice, well decorated hotel that is walking distance to Darling Harbour. Rooms are large and nicely furnished. We had a lovely harbor view from the large window. One night there were fireworks and we had the best view. Staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was a large assortment of hot and cold foods, well worth trying out while you're there. We took the ferry sightseeing ride one day which is interesting. Then we did a bus tour to the Blue Mountains and Featherdale Wildlife Park. If you love animals, this park is a must. You can see many Australian animals. The Kangaroos roam free looking for food you can buy to feed them. Another day we did the Hop-On Hop-Off bus, which we caught right around the corner from the hotel, and saw lots of Sydney's highlights. We had a great time in Sydney. We were there 3 days, and didn't see everything we wanted to see. Wish we would have had more time.

Great location walking distance to Darling harbour Town Hall train station and city shopping. Nice hotel clean comfortable friendly staff

The parkroyal is awesome for the trip. My family enjoyed a lot staying here. It's very convenient to catch the train to other places. And darling harbor is absolutely fascinating for a night walking after dinner.

This hotel is very closed to major attraction, quite near Darling Harbor where you can enjoy fireworks on a Saturday and very closed to China town and Main Street. Front desk is very approachable. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

modern design, great place; suites are excellent; high quality service and helpful staff

Room is great, bath is clear and everything was ready.

Very pleasant, being newly renovated, was great. Decent size rooms, Inclusive brekky would have made it more reasonable in price.

Recently Renovated. Clean.great spot.will stay again.and a great deal .

First of all was parking. Your options are to pay 50$ a day for valet parking or they can give you a discounted credit of 32$ for a local parking garage. I would of been happy to pay 20$ a day and utilize their garage with no valet or if they worked a deal out where I can take my car in and out on my own that would of been helpful. Second, internet was not only not free but quite expensive. They offer a week of internet for 79.99$. When I realized I was going to have to pay I assumed maybe 10-15 dollars for the week which is still ridiculous because internet should be free or very near free at this point. For a 5 day stay I owed this hotel roughly 250$ extra at check out so about 50$ a day...the final blow was a 1.5% surcharge for a credit transaction. What kind of professional hotel has a surcharge for using a credit card? Was there an expectation I was going to pay in cash?

We stayed here for 2 nights. Hotel was fine, not super upscale but good enough. My room was clean and quiet which are the most important things. The biggest concern was exceptionally slow elevators (they are in a 1 year-long process of replacing 3 elevators, not sure why it takes so long). It was annoying that wifi wasn't free and breakfast was $32 (which we skipped), but that doesn't seem to be out of line for Sydney. Location was fine but not perfect, I do wish we had stayed farther north

Room was clean and spacious with 2 double beds. Most of Sydney attractions and major shopping centers are within the walking distance from the Parkroyal Hotel Darling Harbour.. It is expensive but all hotels are expensive in Sydney. If you are going to Sydney to visit the attractions in City center, Darling harbor, the Rocks or Museums or Shopping centers, this hotel is certainly highly recommendable.

The location was great near Darling Harbour and every thing was within walking distance. Although, I hate to rain on the parade I was however annoyed with breakfast not being included. It is petty, but with the amount of money spent (for 5 nights) it could of at least include complimentary breakfast! Not too hard to ask. Other than that it was a great hotel.

Great location, parking is expensive, staff is friendly.

Fantastic Hotel, the staff were extremely helpful, the dining experience was fabulous, the dessert was to die for. excellent place for a getaway, close to everything you need.

Due to the unfavorable exchange rate of US to Australian dollars, all hotels are ridiculously overpriced in Sydney. This one was the best deal we could find and it was fine, but still more than we would have paid for a similar hotel in New York City.

As expensive as Sydney is, we found a very clean and nice hotel at $155 per night. It's very well located and close to a free bus stop than can take you to other great places. It's highly recommendable.
