The hotel is in a good location, close to Darling Harbour. Very comfortable bed (though two joined to make one) and a good-sized self-contained apartment (note: needs egg lifter !) So slept really well, but not including free internet was inconvenient and seemed stingy for the price charged.

The room was very comfortable and the food was very nice. I had a great view from my window. The location was very handy everything I needed was in walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

As I was a guest on a business trip, I found the accommodation at a perfect location....less than 200 metres away from the office. Only thing that dropped the points was that there is no access to meals other than breakfast(lovely) to eat other than room personal preference is to dine in a restaurant and because Sydney's weather wasn't the best during my stay (no fault of the Mantra) I had to leave the building to eat out. I didn't rank value as it was a business trip paid for by the organisation- Thanks very much

The staff were exceptional and very helpful (five star service). We found the hotel conveniently situated. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable but very dated and tired. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had mould in the grouting and dust in the extractor fan. The bathroom could do with a complete upgrade. The foyer should be redecorated and lightened. It is dark and dull and doesn't do the hotel justice

Handy to work. Public access areas a little cramped. Room a bit tired with paint off skirting board. Pokey area for bathroom with laundry facilities also packed in the same area with shower over bath tub.

Excellent showers, fabulous staff and I enjoyed the location it was so easy to get around. I will recommend to others. Didn't like the fact you could not smoke outside in the area as it was not utilised by anyone else however the people staying there that were smokers could not use it and had to stand on the street. I am not a smoker

Stayed here to attend the Vivid event, and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very large and spacious, as well as being clean. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from darling harbour, or 20 minutes to the rocks. The buffet breakfast was a nice touch as well, the only downside is having to pay for parking next door, however other cheaper options are available if research is done.

I would stay here again. Bed was very comfortable and the staff were exceptional. Ideal location for work purposes. Very close to Sydney cbd. Room service options and kitchen facilities on hand. Nice views too.

We arrived on Friday of the June long weekend, to our 2 bed 2 bath apartment for 2 adults & 3 kids. We were thrown back by two large machines making a lot of noise in one of the rooms. Upon googling the machine brand we were horrified to discover that they are to mask dangerous chemical spills! We immediately went to reception to request a new apartment, they obliged telling us that the previous guest had been smoking in there when it's a no smoking hotel. To appease us we were given a free buffet breakfast the following morning. We were not told that "buffet" meant some scrambled eggs, bacon, mushroom, tomato, toast, fruit and yoghurt. Considering the charge on their website was $30pp, and there are 5 of us, this buffet is really valued around $10! If you wanted something it was often empty, and our family of 5 could not sit at the same table as there were only about 10 tables in total for a 27 floor complex ... it was quite baffling really, and being that we don't often get away, our expectations are quite low. We bought some breakfast supplies for the next morning as each room contained a kitchenette. That was abandoned and the food thrown out as there was one knife, 2 forks, 2 plates, 2 bowls, 1 saucepan & 1 fry pan for 5 people. When we checked out our teenager announced he left his Apple Watch on a sofa. As we had gone for breakfast elsewhere we called reception and they said they'd take a look. When we arrived back to collect our bags as we had already checked out, we were advised it "was not in the room". We demanded a card to check ourselves to arrive finding the cleaners leaving. We asked if they found it and I think being Asian they did not understand us. I walked in, looked at the sofa, nothing, got my 12 yo to look underneath, bingo! Not sure how carefully they clean the room but that should have been picked up. This hotel is not value at $530 a night! I would suggest they shouldn't charge more than $250. One bathroom was so small my husband and I could not walk in there at the same time 😳probably fine if travelling alone or as a couple but they should not advertise for families.

Highly recommend Mantra on Kent. Very handy to the City and Darling Harbour. The Staff and Management are to be commended, they went above and beyond to ensure our stay as pleasant and comfortable. We will certainly stay here again.
