A little overpriced for what you get. The room service food was not good - in fact the pizza was totally inedible. The rest of the food was pretty average and was not cheap. The reception staff was friendly and amenable and room was quite clean.

As per the last field. Sorry I provided detailed comments in the section before. I hope they made sense. Overall our stay was good. I would probably look elsewhere though for stays of more than one night as our room was very small.

Nice hotel in a convenient location close to transport and shops and a short ride to the city. Clean, spacious rooms. Helpful check-in staff. Comfortable beds. Stayed as a family and were all impressed with the hotel.

Good size room. Very Clean. Not a lot of equipment to cook with (no microwave containers) - lucky I had bought my own. Very close to all transport and handy to shops. Spa wasn't working but pool was nice. Had to ask for pillow for son as there wasn't one on his bed. Very quick to drop it off at room.

This was for a work trip, but unfortunately the card it was booked on was not recognised, so had to pay via personal card. Location is great and rooms tidy and clean. There was a ceramic tissue box cover in the bathroom, but no actual tissues.

Breakfast need to organised. Staff and service level is excellent. But Chef need add more variety of food. We had two separate family booking but one family stayed in level 1 other family is on level 2. We had great difficulty especially with your lift. Those are out dated. access Card do not work properly..

Mantra in Chatswood is a great location. You can walk almost everywhere and if needed a train station at your doorstep. However the hotel itself is clean but not comfortable. Sliding two single beds together to make a double bed is out dated and uncomfortable especially for 2 people. The bathrooms have modern finishings but the shower in the bath is useless as there isn’t even enough room to wash your hair. The location saves this hotel.

At the last minute we needed accommodation on the morning of New Year’s Eve and one of the most affordable in the area and for the amount of time we needed was here. On arrival, we were well ahead of check in time, we were unsurprisingly told it was too early which we expected and this was fine. We were able to leave our belongings and go to the shops and have a drink while we waited. On our return, we were told the room was just ready. However we found it odd that we weren’t told any other information, ie. about the local area, the hotel, anything else useful like that that you’re usually told. The girl who checked us in, who may have been new, seemed unsure of lots of things and not very confident. Later in the room, we found we had no WiFi and were expected to pay for it which I found a bit of a cheek in this day and age when it should come complimentary as standard. I also noticed that there was the option to sign up to the Mantra membership scheme which would offer complimentary WiFi and other benefits, but we weren’t offered these. When we were next passing Reception, I enquired about this and was told because I’d not booked directly with the hotel this was why it wasn’t offered but on this occasion would be waived. I appreciated this gesture. On our second (early) evening, we found we needed to extend our stay and were helped by Saul and, I think, Kevin (?). The latter was especially helpful & also gave us a dinner recommendation too. Unfortunately with the room extension, there was a miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping so we were kept waiting a while for our room to be serviced. However, housekeeping turned this around extremely quickly and were really helpful and polite. I would also like to offer a shout out to Kylie on the front desk, who was really kind and helpful. Something to note, which lots of other guests and I mentioned to the front desk about, is when you use your keycard to access floor numbers in the lift, it’s very unpredictable and frustrating. Sometimes it works fine and at other times, it takes ages. This also sometimes happened when using your keycard to enter your room. Both are annoying especially when you’re in a rush. The hotel is really handy for local public transport as it’s a short walk, 5 minutes maximum, to the train and buses. Into the city, the train takes about 25 minutes and is clean, safe and easy to use, particularly with an Opal card. The hotel is also close to loads of local restaurants and a few bars and also two big shopping malls and other smaller shops. There was an on-site bar and restaurant but it seemed closed during our stay. There is a swimming pool and gym on floor one, secure floor access necessary, but unfortunately we were unable to use this during our short stay but would’ve loved to. If I found myself in the local area at another time, I would probably stay here again. Patch

The room was clean and cozy. Appliances were complete from the kitchen to the bathroom and tv sets. The location was great with close proximity to the train station and shops. The staff were accommodating and friendly.

On the website it was said to have free WiFi only to find you have to become a member or pay for it. The balcony had a disgusting thick layer of a black substance most likely ash. Had the worst view of an ugly building the sun couldn’t even get into the room. Aircon didn’t work. Some rude staff.
