Overal a great stay

Overal a great stay and breakfast option was perfect. However, I wanted a cold shower but was unable to as only option flowing in the pipes was hot lava. Asked maintenance to look into it but was not resolved. Off site parking overall is decent, would be better of it was free but will get reimbursed anyway for it. There was also a fan and no air conditioning in the room so got really hot.

It’s an old property that’s been 3 different hotels. There is massive construction outside property roads, pedestrian accesses closed. They have done a good job in trying to provide decent lodging. 24x7 coffee in lobby etc. staff very friendly and helpful. On my first morning morning what appeared to be a homeless person walked in helped himself to buffet breakfast and sat at one of restaurant tables. Staff did not react. Later in week staff asked for room numbers each morning which they had not done previously ……..

Paper thin walls so if want sleep go elsewhere

To be honest I expected a lot more from thistle. The room in this hotel have paper thin walls so if you want peace and quiet then find another hotel. One side we had someone who was snoring which kept us awake, late evening and very early morning our other neighbour plaid Rap styled music which probably could be heard 4 rooms down the hall. We did tell reception who weren't particularly interested. The area around it looks like a building site, if you can see out of the filthy windows that is.

Great welcome by Shannon, inside of the hotel is nice and clean and smart (outside a bit grubby but then the area is also) - room was OK although a bit hot - showerhead was broken and leaked but didnt realise until after showered and found the bathroom floor wet - other then that bed was comfortable and had a good nights rest.
