We were traveling for a family funeral in Hastings. Everything there was either booked or ridiculously priced. We did all our activities and meals in Hastings. But it was worth the 30 minute drive to stay in a clean but inexpensive hotel. It was also very quiet even though there were many other guests. As stated, they don't serve breakfast. My husband walked over to Casey's , very close by, and picked up breakfast and donuts. We had a little confusion at check-in, and the staff responded immediately ,virtually, on the check-in screen. It was seamless, and very professional. I would recommend this hotel and if needed, stay there again.

There were a lot of workers outside drinking so we had no place to sit when we went outside. There were mosquitoes and wasps everywhere inside the sheltered area. Hair in the bathroom shower. Sheets and room seemed clean. More mosquitoes in the room. Beds were a little older and small pillows. Spraying for bugs would help a lot.

I knew by booking this was a small hotel, and there was no front desk etc. What I didn’t except was killing 4 spiders in our room in the first 2 hours of being there. The air conditioner kept shutting off so our room was pretty humid and warm at times. It was dial thermostat, not a button or number setting.There is no lid on the toilet, and the toilet sits very low. The carpet was very outdated. We ended up leaving a day earlier than planned. The good: The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the fridge was bigger than we expected.
