We used rewards points for this stay, and the clerk was very nice about thanking us for being regular customers. We found the room to be clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast fare was typical for Comfort Inns, but the scrambled eggs were dry and rather tasteless. We would stay here again.
This is a very nice hotel. Quiet, modern, spacious rooms with all amenities. Good location on Hwy 81. Several restaurants nearby. Two negatives: the shower was very weak. And we thought the hotel was a bit over priced, comparing it to others we had stayed in on this trip.
Comfort Inn of York NE is at best a 1960's version of an old super 8. Have to back into bathroom since it is so small the door takes up whole room. The shower/tub is very small and outdated. The furnishings in the room don't fit in room well making it very crowded. Supposed wall thermostat is questionable at best. AND DON'T bother providing your Choice Privilege or AARP cards---they are meaningless to the front desk personnel. Online prices are not honored or correct when you check in!!! The breakfast area is VERY TINY. Since the breakfast attendant was busy eating, she did not notice eggs were cold and sausage not cooked thouroughly. Never mind that her hair was not combed, uniform looked as if she slept in it....it was the amount of noise she made while eating that really caught your attention. Front desk staff evening and morning attired in less than professional look. The open laundry dry immediately behind the front desk made for interesting look and smell. THIS PROPERTY needs to be taken off the list of Choice accomodations. Overpriced and a real disappointment!!!
As a Diamond Elite Member, I travel weekly for business and usually spend 2 nights a week in Choice Hotels. I always ask if their are any upgrades available upon checking in. When I arrived around 5:15pm to check in I asked about an upgrade and was very rudely told by Jodie "We're probably going to sell out tonight so I'm gonna say probably not." So clearly they had an upgrade available at that time but this snotty clerk refused to give it to me. This is not the first time I've had this happen at this hotel. Because they employ such disrespectful people and have zero customer appreciation I absolutely will not be staying here again. As for the room I was given, the television had a snowy screen on most channels and they clearly use no fabric softener when they launder the sheets and towels because both were extremely rough and scratchy. The pillows were very old and lumpy and the mattress was hard as a rock. To top off my stay I got in the shower the next morning to find the soap from the last guest still in the shower with hair all over it. I've stayed in "motels" nicer than this place.
I arrived after midnight. Check in was smooth and I went upstairs ready to crash. The motel reminded me of a Motel 6, back from the old days. It was run down, dimly lit, narrow stairs, tiny check in. I thought how bad can it be? It's just one night. Then I walked into my room and it was roasting hot and humid. The owners of the hotel probably decided to When I felt the blast of heat hit me, I left. The AC was set to 83d, and it took five minutes for the AC to finally turn on when I adjusted the temp. I left. I need a semi cool room to sleep and I was not willing to spend a few hours waiting for it to cool. I will not be staying here again. The owners clearly do not care about running a decent hotel. At least the night clerk refunded my room.
This Comfort Inn has a much better meeting room than most. We had a sales training involving 12 people and all fit very comfortably in the room, with room to spare. Chairs and table were set up before our arrival, and the TV on the wall was all we needed to display the presentation. The entrance to the room is through the breakfast area, so if your meeting starts in the morning, I could see where this could be a problem. We, however, had no such issue. We were very pleased with this choice as a meeting location. A gas station and convenience store is located right next door, so providing snacks and drinks for the meeting was easy. They also have some options for lunch (delivery or pickup) if your meeting requires it. The guest rooms were a bit better than a standard Comfort Inn. Although I didn't personally experience it, the pool area looked to be better than average as well.
Front desk very friendly, room was clean and quiet. Everything was satisfactory but bed was uncomfortable. Hot brunch was very complete. Didn't appreciate having to listen to FOX news during brunch though. Would suggest a less partisan network.
Awesome place to stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was good and hot! There are plenty of eating options nearby if needed.
My son, granddaughter and I checked in late, as a positive, front desk staff was friendly but after showering I turned down bed and the bedding was stained looked like blood and then a big yellow stain also, sheets seemed to smell clean but definitely should not have been used. I went ahead and slept on other side. When I awoke next morning noticed really how unkept the room really was. Didn't look like it had been cleaned, cobwebs in window, dust on lamps, coffee pot, nightstands and hadn't been vaccumed around baseboards forever. I let the morning front desk agent know I had a concern about the cleanliness of the room and she let me know she was pretty sure she knew who cleaned the room and that there was a communication barrier because the housekeeper does not speak English and I should of come down and she would have moved me to another room. As a guest that was not my concern, I expect to check in to a hotel and have a clean room, and not have to move all my belongings after a day of travel. She then took my number and told me the manager was off on the weekend but she would have her call me, I never heard from her so In short I have contacted the hotel twice and have been told mgr was out and that they would leave a message for her to call, still no call. They have their money so I guess customer service and concerns do not matter,
A hot day in June, and a long day's travel. Tired. The two ladies in front of me checking in at the desk were more so, since they had come in with their husbands on motorcycles. At the end of the registering process, the clerk (a nice young lady) handed each of them two ice cold bottles of water with a York mint attached to the neck of each bottle. I received the same after I registered. A very thoughtful gift, and very much appreciated. Outside of that, the room and breakfast were up to all the normal Comfort Inn standards. A very enjoyable stay.
