Stayed here for a couple nights on our way home from a trip further north. Location is great short walk down to Mooloolaba beach front dining and shops and only a small drive to sunshine plaza or any other prt of the sunny coast you want to see. Room was very spacious and indoor pool was great to take the little one for a swim as it was too cold in the lagoon pool. Will consider this place again next time we visit the Sunshine Coast.
We spent a few days at Headland Tropicana Resort recently and had an amazing time. The kitchen was completely outfitted with everything you could need to cook in the apartment. There was a gorgeous pool, sauna room and games room with a ping pong table, pool table and several arcade style games. The lady at reception was very polite and answered any questions we had.
This is an older building- maybe built in the 80's. It appeared that each unit may be individually owned, due to different furniture etc. Our unit - 18 had be renovated. It was very neat and clean as was the whole property. The one downside with the layout is that it's a u shaped building with everyone looking over the pool and BBQ area. This in itself left no privacy on the balcony. Unfortunately for us the people in the unit just below ours spent most of their day sitting on theirs, smoking.. being a non-smoker the constant smoke was really annoying and prevented us from opening windows and doors on that side. But once they left- it was great. The indoor pool and spa meant that regardless of the weather the kids could swim. The sauna was a nice touch - a traditional wood style. Location is fantastic- about 2 blocks walk to shops and the main cafe strip (try "One Up" for dinner, and the "Mooloolaba Fish and Chips " shop) Plus two patrolled beaches and surf club. We had some issues with a water leak- the management were on to it before we knew. As a result the 2nd bathroom could not be used- management were great with their response and compensation. Very fair.
Great value for money. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room (we stayed in number 28 - a 2 bedroom apartment) with scenic views from the balcony. All kitchen facilities were supplied. No aircon in the living areas but had aircon in the bedrooms. Beautiful breezes from the beach. Excellent amenities. Would definitely stay here again and recommend highly.
Wow!! Beautiful room with amazing view of the ocean. Both pools are crystal clear and the spa is peaceful. Can't wait to bring my daughters here next time as it's kid friendly. Games room was so much fun and a lovely inclusion. Staff were all so nice and helpful.
The unit was very clean and aired before our arrival but a little run down stove not working well, all other appliances great. Cutlery and crockery lacking a cracked wine glass meant we drink to our 35th wedding anniversary in water glasses. We had a lovely view. Pool and BBQ areas lovely and well kept.
This apartment is very tired looking and sadly not very clean. There are marks and stains on the carpets, curtains and blinds The place smelt a bit musty. A cigarette and cigar butt on the balcony and fag ash in a glass. On arrival there was no toaster and the iron was so black that I was scared to use it. We spoke to the staff about all of the above and were promptly given a new toaster and iron. The location is good but it is on a very busy road. Mandy and her staff were understanding of the problems that we had.
Ideally located just a 10 minute walk from Mooloolaba town, this resort is family-friendly offering things to do on both sunny and dull days. The beach is accessible right across the road, and a running and walking path follow it from the Headland to Mooloolaba. The apartment we stayed in was comfortable and spacious, but lacked a few home comforts in the way of decor that would have resulted in me giving this resort 5 stars. Purely superficial, but a general clean-up wouldn't have gone amiss as well as a couple of pictures here and there. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is large and easy to work in. The outdoor pool is really pretty and spotlessy clean surrounded by pretty gardens complete with an outdoor BBQ area. So, back those dull days (that yes, do happen even in Queensland!), not a problem though as there is a games room, indoor pool and sauna to keep families entertained. We had 10 days here and loved every minute of it. Finally, the staff are really nice and helpful, and you can hire boogie boards for $10 per day - a bargain compared to prices in town! Parking is under-cover, underneath the apartments and is free.
Resort style budget accommodation overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean, a comfortable walk away from the action of Mooloolaba. Amazing value for money. Beautiful apartments, all with views, either of the ocean or the pool or the garden. Fit out is a little tired, but the amenities are excellent with indoor heated pool, spa, kids play area with pool table and games. Undercover off street parking, but no lifts. Live the life without the price tag!
What a lovely apartment we had, heaps of room and beautifully cleaned. Best position, handy to everything. Sensational views, the choice of 2 pools (indoor and out) and lovely staff. We could not fault this place.
