This hotel is part of stutgart main station which is a heritage building. Hence the hotel and rooms too have bit of rustic feeling with huge rooms and windows. The hotel is located within station hence at heart of all shopping and restaurant zone. Access to elsewhere is easy with public transport. Rooms are huge with additional bed for kids. Nice bathroom. Courteous staff and excellent upkeep. Had a relaxed stay. We checked out and left our luggage at their store room. Good decision.
Area; really good, in the same train station and in the beginning of the main street. Service; Nice and kind. Room; Correct, the bed a bit small but I think this is a german custom. Bathroom; It was new and good. Internet; Bad, was open and impossible to connect. Breakfast; Correct, two days I was attended for a rude waitress.
Not at any moment in my memory as a human being can I remember a worse experience than my two nights at this hotel. I checked out at 10.30 this morning, and just now, 15 hours later, I have barely recovered from the fungus and toadstool this hotel had to offer. The rooms are not possible to stay in without becoming sick and being medicated. It is incredible that this hotel is still operational. While you are being silently murdered by the terrible smelling toxic air full of fungus, you can enjoy their completely useless "fast" Internet service for 8 euros. If you are lucky, you'll achieve 512 kbps. I refused to pay for my “fast internet” at check-out, which gave me a beautiful insight in how utterly rude and terrible the staff at this hotel is. I was informed that I am a complete moron who didn’t allow them to come and (quote) “fix my Internet”, and the receptionist basically threw the card machine at me for the 7 Euros for water I had grabbed from the minibar to survive my fungus festive night. I usually don’t write reviews online, but this hotel and their staff is so utterly awful and terrible, that I feel that I feel an obligation to warn people from booking a room here. It will be one of the worst experiences of your life.
Its inside the Central station of Stuttgart . So every thing available near by. Rooms are so..so. small, but clean. Bed and pillows are ok. Breakfast also not big..all average. But the location is best.. for shopping , dinning and city tour.
Stayed here for a night a couple of weeks ago. Front desk staff couldn't have been nicer. Room was small, but that wasn't unexpected. Bathroom decent size. Breakfast was fine, if a bit sparse. And the location at the train station can't be beat.
Let me start with the positives first. The location is top. Directly at the Main railway station (Hauptbahnhof). This gives more opportunities to go out and is directly at the start of the pedestrian zone. The added bonus of a travel card for the public transport is also great. The hotel has well isolated windows and the street noise is minimal. The room was relatively large but very outdated with no real ventilation. So the air was always stale even after opening the window. I am absolutely disappointed by the hygiene. The toilet was dirty, the shower door was broken and the bathroom in general was like a separate cabin and extremely cold. I had to wait quite a while for warm water. The light in the room was fluorescent and flickering… not nice for the eyes. A huge minus in my book was the very bad internet connection or even lack thereof. I mostly travel for business and this is very very important to me. I cannot comment on breakfast since I didn’t eat any. My reservation didn’t include breakfast and when I wanted to pay separately the hotel declined to issue an invoice for it. So I passed. I cannot recommend the hotel for a nice stay, even if only for the location. I hope they will improve and renovate, even if they are waiting for the Stuttgart 21 (23?) project to finish. I myself will not go back.
This hotel is built into the north west corner of the Hauptbahnhof building and there is actually an entrance directly into the hotel from the station concourse. There was no audible reminder you were near a railway, however. The rooms were clean and comfortable with decent beds and fresh white linen. Breakfast was buffet style with hot food in heaters and a decent clod buffet. The coffee machine was broken during my visit and the flasks of coffee provided at breakfast did not inspire enthusiasm, I'm afraid. The hotel provides guests with a travel pass for the wonderful integrated transport system in Stuttgart and this was a major bonus.
We visited the Christmas markets and decided to stay at this hotel due to the location, which was great. Another bonus was the free rail travel which we took advantage of and was the best thing about choosing this hotel. The room itself was large, really large, but get dated and was always too hot. We tried sleeping with the window open, and then on another night had the fan on. I honestly cannot say I had a good sleep a good nights sleep on this trip. It is a shame as the staff were friendly, hotel fine if a little dated and the trains did add a bonus! If they could just improve the small changes of the heat of the room, inadequate pillows and having two duvets on a double bed, this would be a great stay.
I travel by train quite often which is why I love the Intercity Hotel chain. The hotel is right in the train station making it very convenient when you arrive and when you depart. This hotel was no exception. I had a very early train to catch and only had a 7-minute walk to the tracks. The hotel price also includes all public transportation in the city, a real bargain. The hotel was in the city and just a few steps from the major shopping district. The only problem I experienced is that the florescent light in the room kept flickering and I finally had to turn it off; however, it was only a minor annoyance. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English. I would definitely stay there again.
Really nice hotel. Great location in the train station. Upon arrival we was greeted in a polite manner given are room keys and a travel pass for the s and u bahn. Great for getting around the city. The rooms are basic no safes. A double bed with 2 single covers pillows are too soft and not extra in the room the rooms we had was extremely big with the smallest TV in there. Having stayed in lots of hotels I must say well done on the toilet roll. Soft and good. The room was very hot resulting in having a fan on and a window open. In December. Overall good stay. did not get breakfast for €14 when we could just go to the train station and get food for about €6 for 2. Bar area small did not try. Good stay would look for different hotel next time but would stay again.
