Only after we checked in, we found how convenient the hotel is to places of interest, the cathedral, the museum, and the boat tour. We had a junior suite, which is spacious, The bed is firm, just what I like. But there are some shortcomings. While the suite is spacious, it is weird that it does not have a lounge chair/ or sofa for people to relax comfortably. It has a desk, and another round dest with two hard chairs. Trust me, there is enough room in the space for a sofa. The second is that, the bathroom is separate near the entrance, but the bathroom is at the end of the suite. So after using the bathroom, you need to walk across the suite to wash your hands etc. That feels a little strange.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in Strasbourg! Our suite was very spacious with a sitting room area w/ tv, sofa and desk. (there were about a dozen steps once you enter the suite, from the door to the sitting area) Bed - comfortable; AC - was needed and appreciated since it was warm during our stay. Loved the multiple windows that let in all the sunlight each day. (**My husband is tall and did have to be mindful of the beams) Bathroom - terrific, large, well appointed with double sinks, a tub, walk in shower and separate toilet room. The room was very clean and the Housekeeping staff did a wonderful job each day keeping the room immaculate! Location - Fantastic! We walked everywhere! Loved the Light Show(s) each evening, both @ the Cathedral and directly across the Canal from the hotel. Breakfast - Great! I wish I knew the server that was so helpful..... she was there everyday of our stay and was always very cheerful and eager to accommodate. Good array of food, both hot and cold. Enjoyed the warm mornings when we could eat in the Courtyard. Concierge - I'd asked about tours before we arrived. The recommendations were awesome! Our driving tour was excellent (Steph-On-Tour) and the private city walking tour with Ivan was equally informative and excellent! Super recommendations! Fitness Center - Wish they had one, but we walked to Keep Cool and paid to use their facilities. Be sure to look at the *before* pictures and note the amazing renovation journey. We loved our stay at this charming property!
The hotel is the best in Strasburg because of its location, in front of the Church and close to Little Paris, the staff in very prefessional, the breakfast is also very good. The building is a city attraction perfectly renovated. My room was very spacious wich was perfect for my daughter of 2 years old. I udes the valet service and it was always perfect and punctual. I highly recommend.
We arrived by Uber from the train station. Ordinarily we would have walked, but we were unsure of the location due to the numerous side streets and the hotel does not seem to be well marked. Although our room was quite ordinary, the hotel itself has plenty of charm. Much to our disappointment, our room did not have the wooden beams as depicted in the online photos. Also, we did not like the bathroom configuration as the toilet was in a separate room. The shower was a bath/shower combo and somewhat awkward and unsafe to climb into. Although our room was on a side street, there was a lot of noise from street partners on the weekend. In addition, we were woken up early Monday morning as the hotel is located next to s school. Other than these minor annoyances, we did overall enjoy our stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located within walking distance to everything! The spectacular Strasbourg Dom is also close by! Don’t bother with their breakfast as it is way overpriced; 25 E per person. Lots of wonderful cafés around with superb coffees, juices, etc. that charge a fraction of the price. An okay hotel which met our needs, but would probably try somewhere else next time.
My husband and I absolutely loved this hotel. Amazing location (walking distance to everything...less than 5 minutes from the cathedral, 10-15 minutes to most places, 20 minutes to the train station or a short tram ride) and incredibly spacious even in the most basic room (see photos). The bed was super comfortable and the amenities were great. Bathroom was spacious and beautifully decorated. Staff was incredibly friendly and spoke great English. We would highly highly recommend this hotel...one of the best we've ever stayed at.
Right on canal so very central. Nice comfortable hotel with good facilities and helpful staff. Valet service for vehicles tricky as almost impossible to drive to door- however parking station nearby is convenient. Avoid walking too far with luggage - cobbles are charming but hard on suitcases.
The exterior of this hotelis uniquely stunning, being of medieval origin, yet inside it has al modern comforts and fittings. The staff were superb in every respect. There is no restaurant as such, but breakfast are provided on site in a light and airy room (or outside in a courtyard) and there is a vast selection of good quality foods both hot and cold.
The hotel is very well situated near the center of Strasbourg, and occupies a beautiful old half-timbered building. The room was very well appointed and also air conditioned, which was much appreciated, as we were there at the height of a heatwave, with temperatures in excess of 100F (40C). The staff were very pleasant and exceptionally helpful. All in all, a very pleasant stay!
We had a very enjoyable three night stay at the Cour du Corbeau hotel in August. We chose this hotel for our trip to Strasbourg because it looked such an impressive 16th century historic building. The hotel includes an interesting small photographic exhibition of the major two year long renovation of the timber buildings, which restored it from what looked a near derelict state to its current beautiful and luxurious condition, while retaining all the atmosphere of the former inn. Our ground floor room was spacious, with lots of character and interest, stylish furnishings, and very comfortable. The air conditioning was quiet and effective. The bathroom was large, and nicely finished with good quality fixtures. There was ample storage space. We also had a small private terrace outside, with seating, in a courtyard space. This was a pleasure to use in the hot weather. The location of the hotel was perfect, and we were in walking distance of the major heritage sights in the beautiful old historic area of Strasbourg. The staff service at the hotel was excellent, contributing to a delightful stay. location history restoration staff
Our family of three only had one night in Strasbourg but I couldn't imagine a more perfect place to stay than this hotel. We had a suite so there was a separate bedroom and small living area with a fold-out couch that our teen said was sufficiently comfortable. Truly excellent communication from the staff, including quick responses to some questions we had about off-site parking prior to arrival, the building and room had so much character (in a very nice way, not at all run down), extremely easy walking distance to several restaurants and the "Petite France" area, functional air conditioning, and a fair price. I hope to return someday!
