We stayed for a week at the beginning of August. It was really hot (30 +) and the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. Knowing this we requested a fan and it was in our room when we arrived, which was great. The hotel is in a good location - a tram stop at the end of the road and the cathedral is about 5 mins away. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around, and an epicerie over the road which seemed to be open until about 8.30/9 pm every day, even Sunday. He sells a variety of basics including baguettes and milk. Next door is a pizza place that does a good pizza. The room we stayed in was a studio with a separate bathroom, galley kitchen and toilet. It was a good size for the two of us, plenty of storage. The kitchen amenities seemed fine, although we were attending a conference with evening meals so didn't really cook in it. They even provided a few teabags and coffee, but we took our own anyway. The bed was comfy, and the room was quiet, although it's a fairly big complex so that might be different for other rooms. The only negatives are that the wifi didn't work all of the time, but they know that and are working on it. The other negative is that although the room was mostly clean, the floors and woodwork could do with a really good deep clean with hot water and detergent. The decor is a little tired, but that wasnt a problem for us. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room but if you were going to be in the room for a good part of the evening, perhaps a suite with a lounge would be better. They offer a variety of sizes depending on what you want. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
Over all nice, private in the middle of the city with all the monuments and a lot of restaurants neer by. The service was friendly and competent, the breakfast fine but not exceptional, the place clean and modern. Very friendly staff at reception.
I had to wait moré than an our to check in (until 4pm) due to my room wan not traducción. I had the confirmation that the Room will be in a high floor by email as well as my arrival. When I tríes to check in for the first time they offered my one in the first floor an I had to wait and waste my time to have one Room ready that was in the second floor. This Room Was really noisy and we were awaken by the people next Room every day becacuse rooms aré not isolated. There were not wifi also. I regret have chisten Citadines. Never again.
Apart from the uncomfortable pillows and the chlorinated water we enjoyed our stay. It was a well equipped room for a reasonable price. The kitchenette offers the possibility to prepare breakfast or tea in the room. You should ask for a quiet room, otherwise there will be a lot of noise the whole night.
Very nice spot in close proximity to everything we wanted to see. They have their own parking lot which is also a plus. It is a modern hotel without a lot of luxury, but everything you need is there. We didn't have breakfast as there are tons of nice cafés allover the place. The reception was very helpful and spoke English very well. Considering it is right in the middle of a city it was a very quiet place.
Citadines is an utterly sensible place to stay in Strasbourg: close to the train station, in the center of the city, apartments fitted out with a kitchen, and all that at quite reasonable cost. It's practical and delightful. The front desk staff is extremely helpful. I recommend it!
Stayed for the forst time in this property for 4 nights. Location was perfect. Alas, the one bedroom apartment I occupied has seen much better days. Cracked floor tiles, dirty stained carpetting in the bedroom and living room, and heating vents that were thick with dust. The soiled carpetting evoked smells of what the previous occupants have been cooking or heating up and it certainly was not very pleasant. I made a serious mistake of overlooking the fact that this property does not have airconditioning and eventhough the property provides a column fan, it does not do much good as it only shifts the hot air around. That said, the one bed room apartment offers all the comforts that one needs and had I visited in winter, I probably would have a more positive review. I get the impression this property is geared for visitors for the colder months as there are more than suffcient heaters in the apartment.
You search a comfortable apart hotel with many equipements and services, go to citadines appart hotel The quality is just constant ! Personnel is visable ! The town is very touristic and you can stay several days to visit,
No more then 100 meters from tram station 'home de fer' which is 20 meters from the 'kleber center'. Every major attraction is whithin walking distance. Many restaurantes in the streets below the hotel. No AC but there's heating for the cold days.
Clean rooms, good location and kind staff. The hotel has a car parking area and it is pretty useful. We stayed for 2 nights but nothing went wrong. In our room the toilet and bathroom are separated. I personally don't like that but it is still comfortable.
