Stockholm has a lot of expensive hotels, but the Best Western Plus Time Hotel really offers value for money. For an affordable price you get a great room, spacious and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is very good. Great free wifi in the room. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the heart of Stockholm. Only downside: if you travel by car, parking is a problem. Best option is to park in the Q-Park under the hotel. Parking in the streets is a risk. Strange regulations restrict parking on various days and places. Don't park within 10 meters of a corner or you will be fined.
We booked the hotel beacuse we wanted a nice location between Mall of Scandinavia (amazing mall) and the heart of Stockholm for a reasonable price. Very friendly people at the front desk, breakfast is good (on every table there is a warning for pickpocket....that scared us a bit...) Rooms are good I missed a closet for my clothes, but the rest is ok, Average Saune (no cooling down area outside) Supermarkt as a neighbour. Other neighbour is a Q-park, perfect to park your car for a weekend rate of 400 SEK. Underground entrance to the hotel via Q park. We would come back if we visit Stockholm again.
Good price, location ok. You see a different part of Stockholm in Vasastan than the major tourist attractions. There are a lot of nice boutiques, restaurants close by. The room was clean and big. We had our own kitchen which was nice with small child. There is sauna in the hotel which you can book for you and have Private sauna. Nice to enjoy it after day of shopping/sightseeing. Also you can use the Planet Fitness gym&spa close by. Good gym, jacuzzi and swimming pool. The best part was outstanding breakfast. We have been around the world in many 5 star hotels and this breakfast is easily comparable. In many big hotels there are just too many options, always more is not better. Here you get a very typical good quality Swedish breakfast. Enough choices but not too many. Nice athmosphere with music and candles. Really enjoyed it! Would like to come back during the summer with kids, there are a lot of nice looking playgrounds close by which they would enjoy.
At first it was a little strange to have self serve check in but friendly staff were there to assist. Best breakfast buffet that I've encountered anywhere and included in the room rate. Easy walk to all attractions in this clean, friendly city. Bar staff were friendly and didn't care how long a sat and read. I loved my room, very efficient design.
On TripAdvisor this hotel is listed as being located in city center. I haven't been to Stockholm in about 20 years so I didn't map the address. It is in the city of Stockholm but up in the eastern part, in a quiet residential neighborhood. There is a bus just a few minutes away which takes you to the center, but it was a hassle going back and forth. Besides that, the hotel is adequate. The rooms have what one needs and are very clean. There was a nice big tub in the bathroom, and robes and slippers were supplied. The negatives about the room were that the safe is very small and it an awkward place, and the pillows were hard and lumpy. The housekeeper searched for some feather or softer pillows but was only able to find one small feather pillow. The breakfast buffet was exceptionally good with MANY choices, so this was a pleasant surprise. The only negative at breakfast was the coffee which was a poor tasting cup of hot, dark caffeine. They should really get some decent coffee to match the rest of the outstanding breakfast. Overall it's a good place to stay if you don't mind riding to and from central attractions.
The hotel is very confortable, well located (10 min. to the metro station and 30 min walking from the centre of the city), and the staff very nice and helpful. The breakfast is really amazing, with tipical dishes such as salmon or herring, meat balls, bacon.... and other things like cereals, pancakes, A lot of stuff. I will book againt when coming back to Stockholm.
The location is a little bit off centre and residential, but it's got many many options on public transportation to get to downtown. So, we really had no problem getting around. Breakfast was good and hearty. I also tried their private sauna facility, which needed to be booked in advance. I was a little curious how it works so went down to the front desk after tried calling them but no answer. The woman at the front desk gladly guided me through and booked a session for me with no fuss. Overall, a very good experience there. Would go back and recommend.
I always choose Time Hotel when I`m in Stockholm. Big and open rooms, Always cleen rooms and perfect breakfast. For me it´s perfectly situated too. Very good personal service. Owe Rylander email@example.com
Very beautiful hotel with very good facilities, very good breakfast, clean rooms, sauna, great service , very value for money for Stockholm standards, near metro station and near center, very good choice for couples.
Ended up here for second time, 2 nights, having forgotten to share previous poor review with secretary. Overall experience fortunately somewhat better, though still some criticism. Reception again poor, front desk doesn't seem to really care if you are coming or going, and smiles were on ration apparently. Room and bathroom are good and clean. This time, had a room at the back, overlooking courtyard, much better than having room at the front of hotel. Ice cube dispensers described as being on 4th and 7th floor had been removed, so forget about the ice unless you go down to the bar to get a bucket of it. Breakfast is good, though no trouble to lay any breakfast table, so you have to collect cutlery, napkin, sugar, salt and peper your self. A bit unwelcoming. You can squeeze fresh oranges yourself. When I went to get a glass, a staff member was squeezing oranges and asked if she could help me. I mentioned I would love a glass of fresh orange juice, but all she did was help herself and then run off to the reception, leaving me behind somewhat flabbergasted. I would fire her.
