Comfort Suites

2.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

This hotel has gone downhill. The pool has been closed for well over a year, the fitness center has been relocated to a very small room, and the facilities our way outdated. The room is extremely dark and needs to be remodeled, and the bathroom was extremely dirty. There was somebody else’s hair all over the shower, and topical mold all over the ceiling. It is apparent that the owner does not care about the condition of the hotel, although the staff is very hospitable and will go out of their way to do whatever you need. This is not a management issue, this is an ownership issue. This hotel needs new ownership and a major upgrade.

Hotel seemed run down and not up to the quality level of a Comfort Suites. Pool was closed and many rooms had black covering windows. It looked like it was going to close down. Will ever stay there again.

Great location.....motel older but has been kept up well. Great breakfast....disappointed that pool was out of commission when we arrived.

Located in a group of hotels. It's in relatively good shape, the common areas were well-maintained. My room was clean but did show some minor wear, carpet tear, chip in bathtub, nothing too bad. My view was quite spectacular: the back roof, A/C unit and a chimney... :) A mysterious bang periodically was likely due to a faulty door closer on a back door, I mentioned it to the front desk. Breakfast was good, eggs, your standard waffles, fruit, bread, decent coffee, juice. Pleasant breakfast area. A nice deck outside off the pool which I didn't visit but saw through the door.

Although overall the room was clean and comfy, it suffered from a few major bathroom blunders. For the price, there are better hotels around Stevens Point or in Plover.

The Staff was nice, the room was clean and the hot tub was HOT! Last minute stay with no hiccups!

We visit family. perfect room ,car was excellant.

This hotel was very easy to find - right off of I-39/51. I was greeted by a very friendly staffperson upon my arrival and made to feel at home during my entire stay. I would have been disappointed that the hotel pool and jacuzzi were out of service, but I hadn't brought a bathing suit anyhow. They looked inviting - when they will be in service. Breakfast bar was nice, and I enjoyed the fresh waffles and fruit each day. Even got help a couple of times (without asking) to get the waffles off the griddle. There was plenty to eat and drink and a good selection. The hotel was also very close to the university and there were a good number of restaurants nearby as well. The room was very quiet - never heard anyone else in the hotel while I was in my room. I'd stay here again, the room was nice, and the price was very good!

We had a wonderful time. We splurged for the King room with dining room, living room, huge bathroom with whirlpool tub, and separate sink room. We found this hotel to be very quiet and comfortable.

The hotel boasts newly renovated rooms, however I was put in a room that had no bathroom mirror. Makes shaving a problem. The duvet cover on the bed was stained. the freestanding closet and dresser were very old, as was the night stand. There was no convenient place to hang a coat. You had to walk through a cloud of smoke to enter the hotel, as a group of employees or off duty employees were smoking at the entrance, while spending the afternoon watching the packer game on the lobby television. The pool was warm but just tolerable, and the hot tub was colder than the pool. The fitness room appeared to be fully up and functional, but there was a handwritten sign posted on it saying it was out of order. The room did have a small sofa and seating area which was nice, but the yellow and red paint colors were anything but calming. I did appreciate the in room mini fridge and the fact that the heat and electric were working. I was one of three cars in the parking lot here. It seemed more like I was intruding on a private party than a paying guest at a hotel. Sorry for this review...but you asked.

The room was a suite and was well maintained. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel graciously accommodated a request to stay an additional night in a room we liked. The complimentary breakfast had a wide selection of foods and fresh fruit. The price was great for a suite and free breakfast. The hotel was easy to find and had adequate parking. I rate the hotel near the top.
