We stayed on the third floor and our room was excellent . It was very large with a king bed, jacuzzi and TV plus a separate room with sofa, fireplace, work area and TV. It was very clean, inviting and relaxing. For a small fee we rented a conference room for our reunion which was also nice. There’s a restaurant and bar within walking distance. Some of our family ate lunch there and stated the food was very good. The breakfast at the hotel was nothing special but very adequate, the only reason that I only gave it 4 stars was that they don’t have much seating in the breakfast area, very cramped and if the hotel was full one would have to eat standing up. For the price and cleanliness I would definitely recommend and stay again when in the area. Also there’s a golf course as part of the complex. I’m sure it’s one of the best hotels within a 50 mile radius.
First of all I’ve stayed at other Choice hotels brands, but not a Comfort Suites. The room was ridiculously large. I had a king suite that had a sofa bed, two ottomans & was separated by a half wall from the sleeping area. The TV swiveled to accommodate both areas. There was a lot of lamps/lighting, even a small reading light on each side of the bed. The room was exceptionally clean & fresh. I found the bed very comfortable. I didn’t have time to take advantage of the pool area, but I saw 2 pools & one had a basketball hoop. There was also a hot tub. The entire staff was very nice. The desk staff greeted me with a good morning/good evening smile every time I walked through the door. The breakfast person was very nice & told me if I need anything to please let her know. The breakfast area was very clean. It was the usual hotel breakfast food with the waffle maker. They really made me feel special. The location was good with a Pick n Save, Shopko & many fast food options right down the road. You could walk from the hotel to the Waupaca Ale House, as they pretty much shared the same parking lot. If I found myself in the area again, I’d definitely stay there. I’d probably even try a Comfort Suites in another city/state to see if the accommodations & services are the norm for this Choice Hotel brand.
All of our family gathered here to celebrate my parent's 60th wedding anniversary. We booked our stay months in advance since we needed 12 rooms! Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was how clean the hotel was! It was spotless. I am very picky about hotel cleanliness and the Comfort Suites Foxfire really impressed me! The Ale House restaurant catered our dinner and everyone was so professional, food was outstanding. The included breakfast was awesome with choices of hot scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, make your own waffles, juices and coffee, cereal, yogurts, fruit and more! The room we were in had two double beds and a sleeper sofa. There was also a desk with an impressive amount of outlets to plug in cell phones or computers. The large screen TV and in room fridge and coffee maker were all added benefits. The pool was excellent and we all swam on Saturday. This was a fantastic, comfortable, warm, clean place to host a 60th anniversary and our stay was truly wonderful. It is in a great location and I am hopeful to return next summer to take advantage of more local shops in the area and spend more time near the Red Mill and covered bridge/chapel. I would recommend this location highly and tell anyone not to worry about the amenities, staff, service or cleanliness. Comfort Suites Foxfire, please keep doing what you are doing! BEST hotel I've stayed at in years! Thank you for a memorable celebration for mom and dad.
This is a Comfort Inn & Suites on Route 54 in Waupaca. A very nice and somewhat new hotel that is comfortable and clean. Two pools and a small workout area. Breakfast is included and they do a decent job although the dining area is a bit cramped. During the summer the hotel is usually full on weekends. The hotel is next to a nice golf course that is very reasonably priced. Moderate difficulty and nicely maintained.
This place is great! We were really pleased with how everything was set up. The food was great, served family style and was warm compared to some places where the food is cold when you get it. The hotel accommodations were wonderful too. Our family had a great time celebrating without worrying about anything. Will definitely come back again!
The hotel is close to the public launch plenty of room for boat and trailer. The chain of lakes in waupaca WI is a beautiful summer get-away. Also check out Indian crossing casino, it's a fun place to grab a bite and watch all the boat traffic on the canal.
The Foxfire Inn was used for our base of operations for the Cherokees to Oshkosh on th basis of its proximity to the Waupaca airport. The hotel is conveniently located near a major highway and adjacent to a golf course and restaurant, The Ale House which can accommodate small groups as well as banquets, serving a wide variety of entrees. The hotel physically is new, very well appointed and kept. Excellent desk service, and breakfast room with many hot choices that vary each day. It is an excellent value. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable, baths are modern, and the decor pleasing.
Nice version of this chain hotel - clean, quiet, good sheets, fluffy towels... it's situated right on what looked like a nice golf course, so it had some semblance of scenery too It's easy on-off from the freeway without hearing the freeway noises - we'd stay there again in a heartbeat!
From the moment I entered and was greeted with a smile and a sincere "how may I help you" I knew this was the right choice. Clean, generous sized rooms. Beautifully landscaped exterior. The restaurant associated with this facility is outstanding in service, quality food and beyond reasonably priced. Happy to stay here again!
The comfort inn and suites at Foxfire in Waupaca WI is absolutely a great place to stay! This hotel is very clean and has a great price for a big room.( 2 double beds with a pull out sofa ) They recently did some remodeling to halls and rooms. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is large and beautiful. The hotel and rooms are very clean and quite. Patricia at the front desk is very nice and helpful. You also get a fantastic hot breakfast in the morning. The hotel located in area of Wisconsin where is an abundance of beauty and things to do with the chain of lakes with in a couple of miles.
