The house was DIRTY!! When we checked in, the house temp was over 80. I called the owner who said she turned the AC on once she saw us arrive on the ring camera. Then later in the conversation she said it was the cleaning crew that turned it off. Her check out instructions are to turn off the AC before leaving. How fo you leave a house in FL with no AC?? You run the risk of mold. When my grandkids went to bed, we discovered that the bedding had not been changed on 2 out of the 3 bedrooms!!! GROSS I called the owner to complain. She said there were more sheets in the garage.most of those "clean" sheets and blankets are stained! The owner vlaimed she was going to call me the next day to "make things right". I'm still waiting for her to contact me. I. Addition to the above, the kitchen was gross. We had to clean every appliance and every utensil before using it. One of the dining chairs was dangerously wobbly, slider glass door did not lock, wall under bay window was warped and cracking from water intrusion, the baby equipment was so dirty, garbage was left in the garage from previous occupant. I have used VRBO for 8 years and have never had this type of experience. The review score on this home was 9.8. I learned the hard way. Always read thd actual reviews! When you dig deeper, you see that there are zero VRBO reviews. The 9.8 is based on some mysterious "other" sites. I find this very misleading and frankly deceptive on VRBO's behalf.
