We booked a one-night stay at this lodge with an early start planned for a long drive the next day. We set our alarms and were up by 6:00 AM to get ready. The trouble started soon after we got out of the shower. While still getting ready, the electricity suddenly went out, plunging our room into darkness. I immediately tried to call the front office for help, but there was no one available—the office was unstaffed and there was no contact number to reach anyone in an emergency. After a few unsuccessful attempts, I gave up. Relying solely on my phone's flashlight, we quickly gathered our things in the dark. We ended up checking out around 6:45 AM with our hair still wet and completely messed up. This ruined our opportunity to take good pictures before starting our long journey. A whole day has past, and still no word of apology from the hotel which is why I am writing this review. I have never stayed at a lodge where absolutely no staff member was available in the event of an emergency. They need to have a way to contact in case of an emergency if no one is going to be at the front office.

The Inn is on the highway, the room tidy, and there is a restaurant on site. The staff were friendly and the bed was very comfortable. Our room was downstairs and there were what appeared to be dehumidifiers in the hallway and our room. However, there was no noticeable moisture or odors. There was an electric fireplace, which was a nice bonus.

The room was great. We really enjoyed our stay. The water along the front of the property was full of starfish! The locks, just down the road were pretty cool to walk beside. We had dinner at the restaurant and that was great too!

Everything is great about this property. It is very quaint and the decor is rustic. The rooms are really nicely decorated and so clean. Lots of extras. Restaurant was really good and the staff were all very friendly. Definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Reception was pleasant. Unfortunately if staying on a Monday the dining room is closed and only option are basically 2 restaurants a short walk into town. Too bad because the menu at the inn looked very good. Bright light shone directly at our window all night and the type of blind they use is not sufficient. Room was cramped. For the price and no dinner or breakfast offered I would go elsewhere. Perhaps better in season.

This was one of the best stays of our trip. Long drive, arrived tired and hungry. We were greeted by Kathleen, the most kind and wonderful hostess. We had an hour to freshen up before our dinner reservation. Then, we were seated with a gorgeous view of the lake on one side and the excellent band on the other. Our server, Rebecca, was one of the nicest servers EVER. The food was great. We were disappointed we weren’t staying longer than one night!
