Lovely property! Staff very helpful and accommodating! Perfect time

Staff friendly and helpful, especially Marsha. Great pool bar and pool and never crowded.

Property could be great, but limited breakfast and dinner hours combined with the dire need to update the condition of the building gives me an uneasy feeling. As island conditions improve, hopefully so will the state of this hotel.

The whole place was a construction zone ( wasn’t made aware at time of booking ) and it smelled of mold everywhere

We booked for 3 nights and 4 days for a short trip to Saint Martin and got a very good deal...nice, clean rooms, attentive room cleanup service, great views! Also has car rental and tour guide services, although we took our own car rental from the airport

Very nice experience. I had a nice room over viewing the swimming pool and the bar I enjoy the happy hour and the music.

Unclean, poor amenities, poor service from staff.

This property has seen better days. It is pretty old and has a well worn apperance. The room was OK: just adequate. Not as near the airport so not within walking distance. I'd likely stay at Sonesta or something closer to the airport. By the time I paid for a cab to Sapphire I had paid as much as a room at Sonesta would have cost me. Lesson learned. If you are really on a budget this place would be OK but for my money I'll stay elsewhere next time.

awesome view and access to ocean electric cooktop did't work telephone was absent slow internet for $10/day coffee machine and hair drier absent beach towels were not available bathroom towels difficult to get beds were not changed cockroaches, mosquitos second charge for stay was attempted on check out day one out of two elevators did not function

Great location! Hotel needs a lot of work , we dealt with the broken shower and smelly air conditioning .... The location of the hotel is the best thing they got going .... Lobby is outside not a closed area like others on the island. Staff very friendly and pool area is very clean and updated from the last time we stayed

For the most part, this was great value for money. However more attention needs to be paid to cleaning and maintenance. this was my third stay and once again, I,ve encountered a moldy room with sheets having old stains. Vector control seems to be an issue as well because there always seem to be mosquitoes in the lobby.

Got the room at a bargain rate... Staff was cordial and professional however one got the perception that not as much care was taken with the presentation of the room. For example, there was mildew in the toilet and a stain on the sheets. Care also needs to be taken about mosquito control. Wifi was not free.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very courteous. However, they need to pay attention to a few things if they want to remain competitive including the following: -upkeep/maintenance of the rooms and infrastructure -relatively high cost of wireless internet

We have stayed here many times over the last 10 years, it has declined into a terrible resort. Rooms and hallways are dark, many things are non operable such as lights, in room safe, etc. the entire resort and rooms look dirty. The resort is a dive!

In need of refreshment / renovation. The hotel itself and rooms simply look tired. You can see that it used to be good when new (or after last renovation), but now it just does not feel fresh / clean. We got upgraded to a suite room with a separate bedroom, living and dining rooms, two balconies (one with a Jacuzzi), two bathrooms, and a kitchen. This "room" could easily hold 5-6 people, and it would be an amazing value for a group. For two, it was a lot and very spacious. However, otherwise, assuming you get a regular room, an average value for the money, nothing spectacular in term of the hotel, but the rate was closer to the lower end. The location is decent, not to close to all the party areas (Maho & Simpson bay), but still close enough - within the same taxi zone... possible to walk during the day. good beach, that has some build in privacy from the rocks.

The staff was helpfull. Unfortunately there was a problem with the water supply upon check-in. it was late evening before the rooms had running water.

Booked this to visit my son who is attending medical school on the island. Perfect location to the school :-) Nice rooms, beautiful pool, gorgeous views. Staff was good, very sweet ladies cleaning the rooms. Will definitely use this again when I visit my son. Front desk staff a bit slow but this is an island.

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights and loved it. The location is great - on the ocean, with a secluded, private beach, within walking distance of 2 other good beaches and Cupecoy marina/plaza, 2 pools, lovely tropical garden, on-site restaurant. The room was spacious, clean, full kitchen, nice balcony with jacuzzi and ocean views. The staff was very helpful. The minimart is very convenient, and has fresh croissants delivered every morning. It is also very convenient to be within easy reach of the airport, out of the way of traffic jams.
