Ever since Jade Mountain was on the cover of Conde Nast I wanted to go there. Finally in April my wife and I visited the resort for four nights. We stayed in a Moon Sanctuary and it was fabulous! The Major Domos (butlers) are great, they make your stay so enjoyable and really nothing is a problem. Anything is immediately at your fingertips. The restaurants throughout the extended resort of Anse Chastanet are excellent and varied. Of course Jade Club which changes it's menu daily is sublime. There is always room on whichever one of the two beaches, the service at your own Cabana was also first class. I am only sorry I didn't write this review sooner, as there are so many positive things to say about this resort. Besure to hike the Titons it was a great experience!

Imagine that Captain Kirk needs a well deserved rest from defending the universe. The high command insists that he take some R & R to a small planet surrounded by water, sky, and lush vegetation. This is Jade Mountain! The architecture is stunning - modern yet organic and focused on harmony with nature while still being contemporary and artistic. We were in a Star Sanctuary (JA5) which was perfect. We had a chance to see a room one level and one category above us, and we both agreed that we loved our space better. It was spacious, yet intimate and the view of the Pitons was framed rather than panoramic which I prefer. Our infinity pool had multiple levels to soak or swim and we had a water bridge to get to our sun nook which we mostly used to star gaze at night. One caveat, however, it is 153 steps up to the celestial terrace so, if you are grossly out of shape, this may not be the best spot for you! The food, wine and cocktails were wonderful. There are multiple restaurants to choose from although we had most dinners at the Jade Club which was open air, cool, and breezy. The menu was inventive and well prepared. Don't miss going to the Anse Mamin grill and make sure to get Flora to make you her special mojito! She uses a 160 proof rum! Plus the limes are inexplicably different in St. Lucia. All of this makes for a fantastic drink. Our second mojito was made by a different bartender and it didn't hold a candle to Flora's! There is almost too much to do. We had the romance package which had many activities built in which didn't allow much time to just hang out in the room. We usually took breakfast in the room, served by our major domo. We had three assigned to us and they take shifts for 24 hour coverage. Roland was our main major domo as he checked us in and arranged all our reservations for the first three days. He has a warm and authentic personality so we felt very comfortable with him. All staff were really wonderful and remembered our names after the first day. We had stayed at Anse Chastenet 15 years ago before Jade Mountain was built. Many of the same employees are still working at the resort complex and they seemed genuinely thrilled that we returned after so many years. I read reviews somewhat obsessively prior to our vacation so i want to respond to little alarms that were raised by some people: - bugs were not a problem. I got a few bites but I tend to be a mosquito magnet - night frogs are LOUD but you get used to them after the first night - I was not too hot as the fans work very well. Give yourself 24 hours to acclimate to the heat. - our toilet was in a nook so it felt private - birds are cute but ravenous and clever. Just keep food away from them. Since dawn was early and the birds loved to sing, I was usually up at 5:30 am. This allowed me to wake up to a delicious cup of coffee and then make the trek to the celestial terrace for 7 am yoga. The morning breeze was gentle, often there was a shower (but we are under a tent). This was a totally restorative experience! Finally, I know this is a pricey vacation. I am a 3rd generation cheapscape. But, within 12 hours I was plotting when we could return. Don't think too hard, just go!

My husband and I stayed here 5 nights on our 5 year wedding anniversary celebration. We booked a Moon sanctuary and got lucky enough to be upgraded to a Sun. We got the meal plan and also the total romance package. Both are definitely worth the money, as once reached the resort there is no reason to leave it. Plus, our major domos took care of organizing all the excursions for us and we did not have to worry about anything. We were looking for a place to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature and Jade Mountain is especially designed just for that. The food is amazing, the location breathtaking and the service is top notch. We absolutely did not mind the stairs even though our sanctuary was on level one and the restaurant is on six. An elevator would not have reason to be there, it would just ruin the perfect harmony of the overall architecture. And yes, we got some mosquito bites, but who cares! Will definitely save to go back. It was just one of the most relaxing vacations ever! But bear in mind: if you cannot climb stairs or if you can't survive without a/c or cable this place is not for you.

We stayed in a Jade Mountain “Star” sanctuary as the culmination of our 20th anniversary trip to St. Lucia. In fact, we had dreamed of staying here for years after noting the “#1 in the Caribbean” ranking in travel magazines and learning its story. It was perhaps a “once in a lifetime” experience, but now that we’ve been, we would love to return some day to try a different sanctuary (they are all unique) – and stay longer! The Star level, while the smallest of the infinity pool sanctuaries, is still huge. It was an absolute joy to stay here, and take in the stunning scenery while being pampered by butlers Okeda and Teddy. We didn’t use the butlers too much, but they brought breakfast to us, cleared the dishes, and handled check-in and check-out, all with ease and good humor. The absent “fourth wall” was what we came for, and it did not disappoint. The climate was comfortable enough, if slightly humid, for sleeping at night. But the many ceiling fans help greatly. Of course, birds fly in – mostly when food and drink is out – but that is part of the experience. As for bugs…we didn’t see any. You hear them at night, quite loudly, but after a few drinks I did not need the provided earplugs for sleep. The sanctuary has everything you could want, including a scale for weighing luggage on departure. And the spacious shower and bath area is awesome with the Caribbean breezes flowing through. We had the MAP meal plan (breakfast and dinner) and it worked well for us. The price is definitely a savings over the menu prices for the same meals. We had dinners in the Jade Mountain Club, which was phenomenal and included “surprise” courses not on the menu. The relaxed pace, the service, and of course the Pitons sunset view all make for a romantic and magical meal. It was difficult to leave the sanctuary, but we did check out both beaches. They provide chair and umbrella setup, and food/drink service. We used the included snorkeling gear to snorkel the reef right off the main Anse Chastanet beach. We saw many fish, large and small. It was not the best snorkeling we’ve ever done, but well worth your time since it is right there. The second beach, Anse Mamin, is worth the five minute walk over. It is even quieter than the main beach and features the Jungle Grill, where we had some of the best burgers ever. Not cheap, but absolutely delicious. Jade Mountain is unlike any resort in the world, with the stunning architecture, unique sanctuaries, pampering service, fine dining, interaction with nature, and the Pitons view. If you are looking to treat yourself, this is the place. And when in doubt, I say #TreatYoSelf.

This hotel is unbeleivably stunning and unique. My husband and I had such a fantastic stay in St Lucia. Everything from the architecture to the food to the service at Jade Mountain was impeccable. And lets not forget the million dollar views of the pitons! This place is fantastic - definitely recommended for an unforgettable, bucket list getaway or a special romantic rendezvous with a special someone. Highly recommend!!

Best place for a honeymoon or romantic couples getaway. I highly recommend it. You will be pampered from head to toe, and you may feel as if there is no need to leave the resort. The food was fresh, delicious, and flavorful. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon!

I was extremely fortunate to spend a couple of days at Jade Mountain Resort with my girlfriend Lauren during our recent holiday in Saint Lucia. We both commented that this resort is the best one we have stayed in during our visits to the Caribbean. Everything about Jade Mountain is pure luxury. We were met by the lovely and professional Cyndi upon arrival offering us both a cold towel and cocktail. She showed us around this truly stunning resort as we have arrived early and our room was not yet ready. To say this resort is unique and a major feat of architectural brilliance is an understatement. With a stunning restaurant and bar area with clear views of both Piton Mountains, we thought we had truly arrived in heaven. As we had arrived early, Cyndi had arranged a shuttle down to the beautiful beach (it is about 1 minute away!) so we could have lunch and a cocktail. In fact, there were 2 beaches - the farthest beach has a bar serving the best burgers in Saint Lucia. I recommend the Jungle Burger with a strawberry daiquiri. After lunch, we took a shuttle up to the resort where we were taken to our Sun Sanctuary and greeted by our Major Domo Keiron (we also had Tuclen). The Sun Sanctuaries are jaw droppingly beautiful. It was a huge 3 walled open plan sanctuary allowing for a panoramic view of the Pitons. Truly outstanding! Not only that, the centre-piece of the sanctuary is a large infinity pool which we savoured during our stay. Both our Major Domos were extremely personable, professional and helpful. Keiron showed us around all features of the sanctuary and informed us that he had made arrangements for dinner at 630pm. Perfect! This allowed us time to settle in, put our dinner outfits on and to sample the outstanding cocktails from the top bar. Dinner was excellent - four courses that tantalised the taste buds. The restaurant team were fantastic. They were both personable and knowledgeable. Upon our return back to our sanctuary, we could not resist going for a night swim in our infinity pool whilst taking in the brightness of the night sky and the silhouette of the Pitons. Life could no get better than this! In the morning Tuclen, our Major Domo, had booked us in for a fantastic couples Swedish massage in the Spa. Not before we had an incredible room service breakfast taking in the views! Lauren and I found that everything at Jade Mountain is seamless. Management are always looking at how they can improve their resort further but from our first experience, it is very difficult to give this kind of feedback as everything during our stay was perfection. We would like to thank both management and staff for a truly memorable experience. We shall be spreading the word back in the UK and we shall be back!!

What an amazing concept! The most exciting hotel we have stayed in. From arriving by helicopter to the minute we left we were pampered. The room was superb, completely private, the service great and the food cooked by Elijah truly delicious. Including a visit to the farm and lunch cooked al fresco by Elijah. Great beach too. Highly recommend a visit, we will be back.

I initially struggled with the price point- but I have to say it was worth every dollar. It is hard to articulate how a man-made structure so impressively and appropriately melds into the natural beauty of the St. Lucia environment. Highest marks for hospitality, food (amazing), and amenities. The room was so fantastic that I only left for one afternoon - despite other local attractions.

Jade is truly unique. After a 1-hour ride from the airport, the last mile along the bumpy old French Road, we were warmly greeted by name with a cold drink & scented towels by the manager & staff. There are only 24 "santuaries." Each one is unique. So, one is among a small group. Nearly each one has a bridge (of sorts) leadng to the heavy wooden entries. The "open" floor plan with no 4th wall and infinity pool is fantastic allowing for a sumptuous vista and constant flow of fresh air. Although I usually insist on air conditioning, it was not needed. Our "major Domo" (Teddy), a highly trained butler, familiarized us with the amenities, etc., and attended to our every need. One receives a cellphone to contact the domo. The rooms are so very comfortable. The bed is turned down each night & has effective mosquito netting. Candles each night add to the coziness. One gets accustomed to the open bathroom and great shower and separate jaccuzzi tub. Dining at Jade is truly gourmet! The fresh fish and presentation along with a terrific wine selection are top notch. Coffee drinkers will love the in-room Illy machines and the restaurant has expresso/cappacino, and lattes! The view of the Pitons and sea is fantastic and only bettered by the brilliant night time sky. Seems one can see every star in the universe. The guests, down the hill, at Anse Chastenet, are asked not to come to Jade. But, Jade guests may frequent any of the latter's facilities. Jade's spa is amazingly relaxing and must be tried. We found all the employees so very friendly, almost without exception. Jade (and much of Anse Chastenet) is up a hill-- some folks do walk uphill, but a shuttle is always quickly available. We went SCUBA diving with the on-site operator. They were very helpful and so friendly. Thanks to Charlotte and the other dive masters for helping us enjoy the many dives. [I would not recommend diving if you have any unhealed cuts or abrasions]. The facility could use better rinsing/clean-up water. The boats were not crowded and the DM-guest ratio was perfect. We were impressed by their safety and professionalism. St Lucia has awesome sea life! The beach is comparatively somewhat small, but there is so much to do otherwise. We have taken annual Caribbean dive trips for 25 years but had been a bit reluctant to vacation at Jade because of the relatively high expense--but, it was very well worth it!
