My fiancé loved our stay. Run up the near hill side to Paul Tet for the most spectacular view. Mango Tree Restuarant was fun. The nearby sulfur baths are a must. Drive down to Sugar Beach for some beach fun. Breakfast and staff were wonderful. Dinner was better at other locations.

Beautifully built into the side of a mountain in a rain forest. Cottages on the hill and pool are high up so be in shape to handle the steps. Plantation tour is easy and very informative. Other trails available on site. Great place to relax. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is pretty and food is fine. Shuttle to the beach is convenient. Other restaurants are nearby too. 45 minutes from airport with lots of curves. Incredible setting.

Is like dying and waking up in paradise. The staff is super friendly and helpful. My favorite one is Lisa, she is a cad, a real riot. the pool is beautiful with gorgeous views. Every thing is perfect.

This is my second stay at Fond Doux.. it's just a beautiful spot at a great value. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. A perfect launching point for enjoying St. Lucia.

The only thing I can say good about the resort is the staff were pleasant. This place was absolutely the most unpleasant place to stay at. No air conditioning in the rooms- the bed in the honeymoon suite was horrible!!! Worst experience ever for a frequent international traveler! They need to modernize!!

Actually quite nice cabins -- aesthetically much closer to colonial plantations than most Caribbean hotels can manage -- but the place is very indifferently run, and the restaurants lack the same light touch of the rooms, instead going for ugly prints and furniture. In the hands of better owners/managers, you could imagine this being at the level of the Golden Rock on Nevis.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed Fond Doux! Best part of it was the awesome staff from the owner to our guide to chef, restaurant staff, and just about everyone there. Even other guests were nice, and we greeted every morning and night sharing precious experience. If you want quiet, there are lots of spaces to yourselves as well. Restaurant was great and decently priced (compared to infrared prices at other restaurants in Soufriere). Breakfast (included) offered a variety of tasteful food every morning, prepared with real fruit and organic vegetables they grow in the garden. Definitely take the plantation tour and join Zumba on Mon, Wed, Fri evenings. Sessions come with wonderful local experience after exercise. Accommodation is charming and spacious cottage decorated with genuine furniture, art and fabric. We recommend Fond Doux to anyone looking for true St. Lucian experience and serenity unless you are looking for luxurious 5-star accommodation. Other recommendation: "Feel Good Water Taxi & Tours." Cornell for taxi and rental car; his brother Daniel for boat trips and snorkeling. They are both really nice, and prices are negotiable. (We do not recommend driving in St. Lucia by yourself. Roads are really bad.) Cornell gave us useful information about St. Lucia; Daniel took us to "VERY GOOD" snorkeling points upon our requests. Beaches - We liked Anse Chastanet better than Sugar Beach, but try both if you have time!

The rooms are unique and are in themselves worth staying. We were in the treehouse with a private plunge pool and a four post bed with netting, even had we not been in a beautiful setting the room itself would have been enough. The setting though, happens to be beautiful and really makes you feel that you're away. The staff was amazing, especially Dennis, the driver. We had a few emergencies on our trip and the entire staff went out of their way to support us. They never made it feel like a big deal and we still had a great trip.

This plantation is midway between the international airport and the Castries, St. Lucia's largest city. It is a revived cocoa plantation with many different types of tropical plants and trees with fruits and spices. We stayed in a very nice cabin located in the jungle and went to sleep with cricket, frog and bird chirps. There is a nice restaurant often with nightly live entertainment. Our package came with breakfast that was quite satisfying. The staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle to a nearby beach and the nearest town, Soufriere is an authentic Caribbean experience. If you are looking to be in the lap-of-luxury, beach side resort, this is not your place. But if you are looking for a very unique place with nice amenities, then Fond Doux Plantation is the place to be on St. Lucia.

Loved the charmingly restored Bamboo cottage we stayed in! Lovely gingerbread wood cutout details let light shine in and tall ceiling added to ambiance. Spacious bathroom with pretty hand-carved mirror and circular window in shower. Cabin setting was also lovely with lush vegetation surrounding its nice front porch. Pathways through the rainforest loed us easily to the restaurant and lobby area. Dinner at the restaurant here was very good , esp. The fish catch of the day. Beautiful restaurant and reasonable prices. We felt the only thing lacking was the breakfast - it was average, and the service was slow. We rented a car for the week and recommend this, as it allowed us to tour many sites nearby and see the entire island. Driving is not for the feint of heart (very twisting and mountainous road) but the main roads are in good condition and my husband enjoyed driving. Highly recommend Tet Paul trail and snorkeling at sugar beach (at jealousy plantation) and Anse Chastenet beach. We also recommend eating at Orlando's restaurant in Souffriere Very gourmet food with excellent service - uses all local food. We loved our stay and the beauty of this island!

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you were satisfied with the friendliness of the staff however, disappointed to learn that this was the only aspect of the resort which you were happy with. We are pleased to report that we have addressed your concerns with the exception of the air conditioning because we are an eco-friendly Green Globe certified property. It was a pleasure having you with us and we do hope that you will consider another stay with us in the foreseeable future. Best Regards, Eroline and Lyton Lamontagne

Hello, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are happy to hear that you loved our uniquely designed colonial style accommodations. The resort’s design is very creative in utilizing local materials and preserving the local landscape. The resort continues to support local businesses and artisans by featuring hand carved wooden furniture and paintings in the cottages, restaurant and offices. It is quite interesting that you did not comment on the friendliness of the team as the majority of our guests compliment the team for their famous Saint Lucian Hospitality. All of your comments have been greatly appreciated and we do hope that you will give us another opportunity to host you again in the future. Best Regards, Eroline and Lyton Lamontagne
