Anse Chastanet Resort

Outstanding meals with very friendly service. Views were great, ocean water warm, and clean beach.

This resort actually consists of two resorts including Anse Chastanet and the sister resort, the exclusive luxury resort called Jade Mountain. We received a surprise upgrade to Jade Mountain resort. Both resorts are built into a mountainside, offer excellent dining and service and amazing views of the Piton Mountains and Caribbean sea. About 10 steps into the water right on the resort's beach you will find one of the most popular reefs in Saint Lucia. Both resorts offer a wide range of on site activities and off-site excursions. This location is on the west end of the island where the seas are calmer and this area is surrounded by rain forest.

Top notch staff, rooms, and food. Food portions were a bit on the small side but quality of food was excellent. Staff was extremely professional and accommodating. Didn't like the room I'd booked and they were nice enough to offer two other choices for no extra price. Was VERY happy with the room was chose. Prices are very high here however so keep that in mind - $17 for a small ham & cheese panini and $23 for a fairly large cheeseburger. I did have the inclusive breakfast/dinner so that helped a lot. I recommend going All Inclusive for this place. Also keep in mind that it's like 102 steps from the main landing area down to the beach then you also have to walk uphill to your room. We got used to it but if you're in poor health it's something to consider though they do offer free shuttle ride down to the beach. Very quiet and private place with not a ton of people on the beach. Also, an amazing reef to snorkel right there at the end of the beach! No charge for equipment either!

Wonderful, unique hotel, with incredible siting on a mountainside, nice beach, amazing snorkeling, and a very courteous staff. Not a good choice for those that require AC, don't like steps, or need a pool.

My wife and I booked a Sunday-Friday at Anse Chastanet resort, leaving our 2 young kids with family back home. Anse Chatanet was exactly what we were hoping for: comfortable, relaxing (for the most part), great food and service. Prime beach location and some water activities included right there (paddle board, kayak, snorkel) We loved it. The only con, however, was centered on the rental car. Roads in St Lucia, and specifically the 2 mile very poor road condition to reach the resort itself are difficult and sometimes scary to drive in crappy rental car. We ventured out a few times with the rental car, roads are not marked and very windy/hilly. So we would recommend taking the resort arranged taxi to and from airport and doing any excursions through the resort.

The Hotel and Service Staff were excellent. The property had beautiful views , plants and birds. Somehow we missed that there was no air conditioning in most rooms or any of the restaurants. You need to be aware of that if you like to come in from the beach to a cold room. The property is built on a hillside so you go up and down stairs or a hillside to get anywhere on the property. You need to be fairly fit or you may not enjoy your stay.

Open air Caribbean hotel with Piton views and an excellent, attentive staff. The beach is small but nice.

Hotel exceeded our expectations. Included complimentary snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboards, and yoga. Well known for scuba diving. Beach attendants covered our beach chairs and provided towels under straw umbrellas. Unbelievable snorkeling. Rooms were clean, woke up to birds chirping. Concierge very helpful with excursions. Lots to do, or just relax. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and funny! We were pleasantly surprised by staff who greeted us upon arrival at airport and had arranged our ride to the hotel. Felt totally safe. I would highly recommend this hotel.

From two private beaches with full service, to rooms with views of the Pitons that you have to see to believe to snorkeling above an amazing reef, to service that has to be experienced to be believed. We spent our honeymoon there and the only way we left was to pledge that we would go back!

We had a fantastic holiday at this hotel but its a very unique experience. You need to be fairly fit to handle the climb up and down to beach and it can be hot and humid in the room at times but the food is fantastic so you need the exercise to work off the calories of all that amazing food. The views are truly breathtaking and make it all worthwhile. We did the half day sailing/snorkeling trip which was great aboard the Searenity sail boat although the snorkeling right off the beach is also really good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I had the rose aromatherapy facial at the spa which was better than any I have had at Ritz Carlton's - definitely recommended!

The hotel was beautiful and had plenty of luxurious amenities. We loved that there were a ton of different things to do for everyone any day if you didn't just want to sit on the beach and chill. Having access to both beaches was great. One day we were by ourselves for most of the day on theAnse Mamin beach which felt like our own private island. Highly recommend it! Oh and coming from NYC we have a very high standard for food and this place more than beat our expectations. Just be careful, get the meal plan or else it will add up.

The resort is tucked away in a remote bay with a difficult access road creating a secluded vacation. Food choices are limited and quite overpriced. No air-conditioning. There are several flights of steps to climb from the beach up to the resort and then to the rooms. Beautiful black sand beach and excellent snorkeling. On site dive center. Mosquitoes were a major problem--bring repellent!

Lovely setting- wonderful view of the Pitons and right on the beach. Good food, great fun- perfect winter get away for a couple.

Tucked away in it's own cove, Anse Chastanet resort is an oasis in lush hills of St. Lucia. All rooms have either beach and/or Piton views, quite a luxury... additional amenities: great service (though at Carribean pace), excellent food / drinks (priced as such), "private" beaches (two total), free yoga, plantation tours, and reasonably priced excursions with good dive and snorkel sites just a swim away... Downside: no air conditioning in the rooms, no telephone, and area is full of bugs - underscore NATIVE - great for total area immersion. Overall, an enjoyable trip.

We stayed at Anse Chastanet from July 13-21. Well before out trip, I was scouring the web to find information about how much rain I should be expecting during our honeymoon because I wanted a beach where I could get plenty of sun. I really had nothing to fear. It did rain in the early morning but it didn't last long and we were greeted with a rainbow after each short shower. One day we were blessed with 2 rainbows! The staff was just lovely. Good people there. Our room overlooked the ocean and really had no complaints about no AC. The fans were great. The only thing I would say is bring mosquito repellant. We brought deet but I was hesitant to use it but by the fourth day, I slathered it on. I didn't mind the walk up to our room (it is a steep hill) because we always stuffed ourselves with good food and good drinks. I considered it my work out for the day. Go to the grill at Anse Mamin. Husband had the burger and I had the fish. I just love anything from the grill and they had other veggies as sides that were delicious.

I had booked the reservation the night before the spontaneous short vacation. My brother was getting married at the resort. My father, brother, and I decided to surprise him. Everything turned out great! The staff are very friendly. We didn't know that the resort provided transportation from the airport to the resort and vice versa (Although it was for a fee), but it was worth it.

We reserved here two days before showing up and everything went smoothly. We arrived by sea and our luggages were brought upstairs via the free shuttle. That was nice. Welcome drink (delicious!) and a fresh cold towel were also brought to us. We got upgraded without asking and had a very large and beautiful room near the beach. It doesn't get any better! While the food was delicious, we would still recommend going out to experience the real thing in Soufriere. Don't hesitate, the locals are friendly, smiling and funny!

Excellent romantic getaway. Please note, there is no air conditioning as everything is open to the outdoors.

Secluded getaway with nice staff. as noted rooms have no A/C so walking up the hill to the room one does work up a sweat and it's a bit humid so keep this in mind. Fans are a must! It's high end out door camping.

Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain. No pot of gold found. Mountain meets reef right in front of the resort. Recommend the half day sail. View from Jade Mountain Club.
