I got to the motel after prepaying a reservation with for a non-smoking unit. The room I got was terrible, reeked of cigarettes, door did not seal, bed was nasty. Went back and asked for a second room, was told by the staff (who was shift changing) she would upgrade me. I got to that room and the smoke detector was chirping. I offered to fix it on my third trip to the office. When the replacement battery didn't work, I called Orbitz to start a refund process.
Here's where it gets interesting. The hotel said because I was on the phone with Orbitz and passed some magical fifteen minute threshold, they would not refund me. They believe I was informed of this rule because I accepted key envelope that said it in small print among a lot of adverts, was never told a thing. Orbitz "tried" and said the could not get me a refund, so I had to file it with the CC company. Each call about an hour, at least four calls in total.
If you want to save yourself a lot of money, stay somewhere else. This place is a ripoff and you will regret staying here.
