OYO Hotel Lake St Louis

Strip mall behind Inn had several places to eat, Chinese, Sushi, Denny's and Arby's.

Requested a non smoking room...defintely was not. Found out when we checked out that it was the old maintenance guya room that he smoked and lived in. Stains on floor. Reeked of smoke.

Very nice. Peaceful. Good tv. Great wallpaper. It was already too late for work and they said radiation would not be worth it.

Over 80% of the rooms had signs posted on doors from City of Lake St. Louis stating Human Habitation was prohibited. This was not encouraging. At first glance room seemed clean and comfortable. All 6 bed pillows looked like someone had already slept on them and then in the morning tried to take a shower and there was no water coming from tub shower. Also got bit by begs duing the night. The pool was closed, don't know why. Would not stay here again even though it was closed to where I had to be.

Burns in bed comforter. Floor lamp-had to tighten light bulb so it would work. Bed light would flop over when touched. No handle on sliding glass door. Held in place with 2x4. Toilet paper holder was broke. No parking on Sat. Night. Staff did not care. no coffee in morning.

I had my cash and wallet stolen from my room. A police report was filed.

I booked this hotel through Orbiz for a one queen bed room initially, but later called the front desk to upgrade to a two-bed room one. One week afterwards I found my credit card was charged twice, so I called again. The front desk person is rude and not responsive (She claim the manager is not available!).

The hotel needs to be updated very bad. We left Saturday for the day and come back to room nothing had been done to our room, beds unmade dirty towels still on the floor, requested fresh towels was told they would bring some within an hour. NEVER CAME.! We had to go get our own towels before we could shower.next morning. Breakfast was 1/2 fair. There was no phone in the room!

The hotel room was dark. One of the lights when out as soon as we flicked the light switch. The room smelled like smoke, but was advertised as non-smoking, The room was dirty, the blankets and sheets appeared like they had not been washed. We had to stay because we arrived in the morning hours, but left at 7:00 AM as soon as I was able to book a room at another hotel in the area.

Worst hotel experience ever, did not have our hotel room reservation ready, because of our delay in Denver because of Blizzard. Arrived at 4am after 4 hour wait on tarmac in Denver because of Blizzard. Called Wed. evening to tell hotel we were going to be late, after airline notified us of delayed flight. Arrived at hotel, clerk gave us room key for already occupied room, had to get another room, but did not give us a Smoking room, as originally designated.Later that day ask for Smoking Room, gave us a room with a wasp and spider in it, after I got bit. Next room, 3rd try by hotel to get it right, was next to family that yelled at each other all evening. [...]

For the price and location the motel worked for me. It was cleaner then my house, but that doesn't say much. The cleaning ladies were in everyday for the four days I stayed. Staff was nice and they spoke english which I apprciate. My dogs stayed for a reasonalbe price. In all I will stay again next year when I come. Last year I stayed here to,thats why I stayed this year.

we thought the days inn was terrible. the pool was dirty, and cloudy. our room didnt get cleaned very well. we found food in the fridge and hairballs on the floor. two lights didnt work and we had no alarm clock in our room. the pop machine didnt work and they had hardly any snacks in the vending. also, we complained about our hall light not working and it never got fixed the whole week we were there.

I really enjoyed the location and the price I paid for the room but was very unhappy when I realized I was put over a bar! Not only that, I had the room upstairs and to the very end of the hotel where no one else was staying at the time. I felt very alone and very unsafe considering I was right over a bar. Next time, if I stay there, I will make sure that I'm not alone in the far end of the hotel or close to the bar.

Very outdated.

The bathroom sink leaked. The tv did not work. There was no heat. There was no food services. The fan in the bathroom did not work. When we reported these things on the day of check out, we were told to call the manager, who was not there at that day. When we called him, he stated we had to report these things the day of check out. The manager offered us a discount on the next visit, but this will never happen.
