I’ve stayed St Tregenna several times in the last 10 years. Staying in a castle room, in a hotel apartment and this time in a separate one bedroom apartment in a wooden barn type block. It’s a great walk into town through the estate. Check in was a little inconsistent and we weren’t offered a map - the people beside us were. We also weren’t asked if we wanted to add breakfast or told about bar and restaurant opening hours etc, missed opportunities. The apartment was clean - but tired. Great shower pressure but the shower heads could do with taking down and soaking. Plenty of tea and milk in the room which was also great.

Beautiful hotel in great location

Beautiful hotel in well maintained grounds and great location. Rooms were large and very clean. Only negative was the breakfast, we chose to walk to a cafe in St Ives.

Grounds were very nice to walk through. Pathway to walk into town was very convenient. Facilities at the hotel were good. Only disappointment was the swimming pool/leisure areas. Looked old/tired. Maybe there was a spa there before and area hasn’t been remodelled. As the building is older the creaking of floorboards above our room was quite loud.

This is an amazing property, steeped in history. We had a lovely stay and everything we excellent. Our room was amazing and we had great food. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. We hope to return again soon.

The castle atmosphere of the hotel was extremely special & room was very spacious with excellent views of St Ives & sea. Would not hesitate to come back if & when we visit Cornwall again in the future.

The older gentlemen at reception was so nice and polite, very professional and helpful. The room was renovated, carpets new, doors new, bathroom fine, mattress very comfortable. The only criticism is that the duvet cover did not smell nice. It smelt like dog was sleeping there or dirty socks. I think it was to do with the way the linen was dried and stored but not sure. We reported to reception next day.
