Great people. The staff abnd owner were very personable. They were very friendly and offered helpful suggestions as to our wine tasting outings.

We were made welcome immediately. Extremely friendly staff. Our hostess Meldalina made us the most delicious breakfasts each morning. Very delightful! Restaurants and shops are very walkable. Excellent restaurants. We throughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

A bit run down. Blinds did not work so hard to open window to let air in as the room was stuffy. Limited water to drink. Happy hour only allowed for a small glass of wine. Food was just ok.

The best thing about this place was the innkeeper-Meldalina--excellent cook, kind and very gracious. The actual Bed and Breakfast facility was okay. It appeared to be a little "chopped" up to provide more rooms and lost it's appeal and a "home", but it was still very clean and the accessibility to St. Helena was wonderful.

The hotel was just ok. Room was very hot -- the air conditioning was not able to cool it effectively. Not enough electrical outlets, and room was pretty small and crowded. They were going for an antique look, but some of the furtniture just looked used/dirty instead. No elevators and lots of stairs (not suitable for a senior). Tub was a very high step into. Bed was comfortable, but high (again, both not great for a senior).. Breakfast was good, and staff was nice.

Located in the heart of St. Helena, the Abmrose Bierce B and B is easy to locate on the main street. There is parking in the back and easy to access. The Inn has 4 or 5 ensuites, each different. Breakfast was fabulous and eating with 6 strangers a lot of fun. Thoroughly enjoyable.
