Room was very clean and spacious. Pool area is unbelievable; large, good temperatures. Nice breakfast options. Great location near Interstate Park and dining options. Would definitely stay here again.

Our king suite was large and comfortable. Good quality furnishings, two flat screen TV's, good lighting, etc. The bathroom had a large counter. Also, very quiet, with hotel located back, away from the highway. Our mattress was very comfortable and our room was very clean. The breakfast had a good selection. All in all, an enjoyable stay!

Last minute booking - reasonably priced The complimentary breakfast was more than the usual and plentiful. The room was clean, comfy beds, nice towels, frig was a nice bonus. All the staff were friendly. Second time we have stayed in the last two years.

We stayed for one night during our trip to the Midwest. The reception person was very friendly and helpful. He gave us a free upgrade, a room with a king size bed and seating area on the first floor. It was nicely decorated and clean. The breakfast room was large. The food was laid out in a very orderly and spacious fashion. Seating was available on the patio as well as in the large multi-purpose room.

Everything about this hotel that I experienced was very positive. Friendly, helpful staff, clean room, decent exercise room, a good variety of hot and cold foods for breakfast. All around a very positive hotel experience!

Recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express St. Croix Valley for a weekend wedding. Average hotel room with helpful staff. Spacious room and standard bed and bath. Felt it was clean and accommodating. There is a nearby grocery store and restaurant.

A friendly pace to stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. There's a restaurant in the parking lot if you're not into hotel breakfast. We did not try the hotel breakfast. The staff were very cordial and helpful. Good location, but watch for deer along HWY 8. A deer hit our car, when we were about 1/8 of a mile from the hotel, on our last night there! FYI, hot tub is very hot and pool is a little on the cool side.

Mother's Day outing was planned well in advance. Desk knew ahead of time that we needed the sofa bed; it was a dangerous dirty mess, no sheets, torn threadbare cover, son cut his hand deeply on metal trying to make the bed. Car alarm went off ALL night, off and on. Not staff's fault, but really should contact the hotel guest to stop from waking everyone in the hotel all night long. No sleep at all. Not just sofa bed was archaic and without bedding, but king bed was old, worn in, sagging. On the plus side, staff was nice, helped by giving Band Aid and letting us borrow some Neosporin for son's cut, although it was deeper than just a Band Aid could conceal. AC was hit or miss. Maybe we just got the worst room? Unfortunate experience. Just feels comically odd to have to pay someone that much to sleep so uncomfortably, and not at all. Can't recommend.

Very helpful staff and great pool. However, when I walked into the room (415) there was an odour (smoke and stale kind if smell) which I thought would get better if I turned the fan up for a while. I turned it off after the kids fell asleep and the smell overwhelmed me so I turned it back on and opened the door to get fresh air (hallway air, closest I can get to fresh air now). It's midnight now and I can't sleep because of the odour and the fan noise. And we have another night here. I think I'll ask the front desk to let me check out a few other rooms otherwise we'll just head home. I feel terrible asking because they are so friendly and helpful. They even let us have 2 rollaway beds in the king suite. So they have been very accommodating.

In town for a couple of nights. Room was nice and had no issues. Hotel has a giant workout room with dry sauna - biggest I've seen at a hotel in this range, even has locker rooms. Breakfast was standard. There is a family friendly bar/restaurant within walking distance.
