this was a referal from AMEX. It was a delight, clean, fresh and a great staff. Only 7 rooms but situated on a nice square and the food at Portofino is top shelf. Split is like Venice-tight, so I would avoid the summer.
The Murum really is a boutique hotel, with only 7 rooms! We had room 4, which combined old segments of stone wall with modern amenities in a very thoughtful fashion. The location was also excellent, as Split was extremely busy even in late September, and this Hotel was on a quiet square close to everything, and the room was quite soundproof with the window closed. The staff were very helpful as well. Good value for the money, and I would definitely stay here again.
This is a brilliant small boutique hotel right in the heart of the Old Town. So easy for sightseeing. The rooms are really lovely and clean. The staff are just brilliant ~ so eager and happy to please and to also keep communicating with queries prior to arrival. I cannot praise this hotel enough. Thanks for a fabulous stay.
Had 3 incredible days in Split staying at Murum Boutique. Fantastic in every way. Helpful and friendly staff, so hospitable and welcoming. Rooms gorgeous and comfy. Fabulous breakfast great location right in the centre of everything. the perfect stay truly hard to beat! Thanks to all!!!
Loved this quaint little boutique hotel in the center of town! We got lucky enough to stay in the room with the balcony overlooking the city, which I highly recommend. The room was spacious and lovely, decorated spectacular! But the best part was the service of the people that were there. They went over and above to make sure that we had everything that we needed and more! Definitely recommend this place, you will thoroughly enjoy your stay!!
This is an amazing seven room hotel. The rooms are impeccable and the service is outstanding. It is a quiet gem in the middle of the bustle of the castle. The staff was warm and welcoming and eager to make to make our stay perfect.
This hotel is located within the palace and very easily accessible to the square and riva. The rooms have great character with stone walls. The breakfast buffet is hearty with eggs and pancakes cooked upon request. Agree with a prior reviewer, they also backed us a breakfast/lunch kit when we had an early morning tour. The staff was wonderful. Ivana in the day shift and Dora in the evening shift were so helpful and willing to provide recommendations ... Luka ice cream was a favorite.
We stayed three nights in a standard room located literally above the restaurant Konoba Korta. A standard room seems spacious on the hotel web site pictures, but in reality it’s rather cramped – a very small bathroom and no wardrobe or chest of drawers to put your clothes in. We kept our clothes in our suitcases! We had booked transfer via the hotel reception (a van picked up us from Split airport) as it’s a little bit tricky to find the hotel located within the Diocletian’s palace area. The hotel send a carrier to meet you and drag your bags to the hotel. Just beware that this transfer option is rather expensive at 60 Euro/one way! The hotel reception is on the first floor with entrance between the restaurant entrance door and outdoor eating area. Our hotel room had well isolated windows so there were no or very little disturbance from the below restaurant. The AC also worked fine! We had dinner at the Konoba Korta restaurant our first evening – convenient with tasty traditional food. Very friendly and helpful staff that e.g. helped us book a table for Friday night at the Bokeria kitchen & wine bar – highly recommended! Breakfast is served from 08.00 o’clock in a small area next to the reception. There are several options to choose from e.g. fresh bread, cheese, ham, salami, jam, fresh fruit, berries, juice, yoghurt, cereals and you can also order cooked breakfast e.g. scrambled eggs with crispy bacon, pancakes, poached eggs etc. Expresso and cappuccino is available. A standard room in July costs more than 300 EUR/night including breakfast and that is way too expensive for what you get.
Amazing staff!! They were extremely helpful and they anticipated our needs right from when we arrived. Even packing us a lunch when we had to leave early to go on a trip (they also helped us book the trip too!) Great location also!
We booked this hotel months in advance and were really looking forward to the stay. However, on our first day arriving in Croatia, I suffered a terrible fall due to heavy rain and was rushed to the emergency room. We notified the hotels right away that we had to cancel our entire trip so I could fly back to the states for surgery. All the other hotels kindly assured us there will be no cancellation fee and welcomed us to stay at their places next year. Murum was the only hotel that refused to refund us in any way for the prepaid $700. This hotel may be fantastic, but don't expect any empathy from them when you need it the most.
