Slightly better that what you would expect from a motel in this price range. Nice sized and well lit parking lot, located right off the highway. Pet-friendly for a fee and the periphery of the parking lot served as a decent place to walk the pups in the morning and just before bed. Our room was fine. Worn and not smelling so fresh but it was otherwise clean. Once we turned on the fan/AC, the room smelled a bit better. Beds firm but linen clean. Good pressure in the shower. Standard toiletries. Nice TV and fridge. I wouldn't want to stay here for an extended period of time but it served its purpose and was easy on the wallet. The receptionist was very helpful when I was locked out accidentally while walking the dogs in the morning. We stay in Choice chain hotels often and I've been in much worse than this one.
Front desk clerk welcomed us with a huge dose of southern hospitality. We got a great deal on a suite at the end of the building. Spotless inside and out. I asked for a smoking room. The living room area had the normal smokers room smell, but the bedroom did not smell of cigarettes. Icy cold air conditioners work great. Every inch of that suite was spotless. The jetted tub was spotless too. I loved the tub. So relaxing after traveling from Florida. We will be staying with them again. Ps, no hot breakfast, but there was plenty of breakfast foods to pick from.
We were without power and our roads were closed. We looked for places close to us and everything was booked or flooded out. We called Choice and booked this hotel. The young lady at the desk is very pleasant and helped us get into our room and everything went smooth. The rooms are dated, but very clean and the staff is fantastic. We didn't eat breakfast, so can't tell you how that is. IT is close to several dozen chain and better dinning restaurants and it is in a great location. We even had to book day to day and had to cancel early since the power came back on and they were awesome with everything we asked. I would recommend this hotel.
I recently stayed here for 5 nights and I loved it! When I arrived late at night the nice manager greeted me with a warm welcome and a smile. During my stay they adjusted their housekeeping schedule to match mine. The room was clean and nice. The TV was good. It was quiet. They have internet and I have no complaints. When I left, the nice lady behind the desk made sure everything about my stay was good - which it was.
My family and I just stayed here for 5 nights. My husband was a bit suspicious of the neighborhood but don't let the fact it is next to some very quiet and clean government housing put u off. The hotel is basic but proudly displays a 100% state sanitation certificate. It is pristine. Our room had a new coffee pot, flatscreen, microwave and fridge. Close to everything. Adequate free breakfast. Lots of hot water, large bathtub. We will stay again. Does allow pets, with quite a large fee of $15 per pet per night regardless of size- we had 3 chihuahuas so that bumped us up an extra $45 a night.
This is the low cost alternative in Pinehurst/Southern Pines. The accommodations are spartan. You will not find luxurious sheets or plush towels. You will find plastic glasses in the bathroom and a "deluxe" breakfast that will help keep you on your diet because the food is sub-par. The hotel is located next to the public housing area in Southern Pines. But I must add this is Southern Pines public housing which is not too bad. If you need a cheap place to stay this is not a bad place. If you have a few more bucks, upgrade to the Residence Inn.
We arrived in Southern Pines late on a Friday evening and found the EconoLodge located in a quite area. I had checked with a few other places but could not find a pet friendly place to stay! They were extremely happy to take us and our furr baby! We actually ended up staying 2 nights and slept like babies after a long time to NC! The rooms were new and very clean! Access in and out of the motel was very clean and the staff was Great! Thank You for a Wonderful Stay!
Do not stay here. I had to stay here for 20 days. They don't care to put a smoking room very close from a non-smoking room, a few days ago I had to leave the hotel because of the bad smell. The neighborhood is dangerous, people are shot within less than 300 ft from Hotel. The foreign Hotel manager don't take care of the guests, someday I had to assist a old couple (with a wheelchair) to get in their car at a snowing day, the guys from hotel didn't nothing to help that people. The cleaning people don't know what the sign "do not disturb mens", they also threw away food from my room (pizza, half empty water bottle). The internet is like dial-up, ultra slow. The breakfast is a joke. Frozen food. Sometimes out something and nobody cares. The child of the manager takes the guests desk as our personal lan house.
We have stayed many times at the pet friendly motel. (They have two pet rooms.) Over the years, we have seen updates to paint, carpets and flat screen tvs. The price is right and the place if very quiet yet close to restaurants, shopping and Wal Mart. The oversized mini fridges in and new microwaves are great for snacks and quick meals. The breakfast is nothing great but the coffee is ok. This is our go to place when visiting family. The wifi is ok,, not super fast but doable ( we download movies and show ahead of time.) You cannot beat it for the price.
Stayed here for two nights with the family, room was well-kept and clean. Extra outlets and even a couple of USB ports for charging devices on the night-stand. In room microwave and fridge may have saved us some dining costs if we'd been staying a bit longer, and we did take advantage of the simple continental breakfast for one of our meals.
