Location saves tgis beautiful, badly run resort. We have been going there for years by boat and use the facilities available but have not seen the rooms. The ain, eautidul dining room has always been closed, though open for brunch this year. the oub is fine, but the menu lacks imagination. The pool is always WAY too warm..almost hot tub like. The changing rooms and showers are really nice but not well attended and in the summer always full of kids. Charging adults $10each tomuse a quiet pool seems a bit much It is nice to see that the little atore has regular hours this year and is better stocked though could easily be a destination spot with a little imagination. We stopped using their have many of our friends ...becaue the music from the ou. is SO loud and instead of complimenting the surrou ding with classical or so ething moody is usuall 60’s rock. The spa is lovely bit we have not used the services...the outdoor hot tub looks amazing. In summary...just a little tweaking and imagination and consistency and QUIET would make this a five star destination.

Excellent marina with very helpful staff, it was a very relaxing time. We really like the pool and Being able to do our laundry while relaxing in the pool. I also like the relaxing mat the hotel, it is a lovely hotel and spa.

So much potential. Poets Cove is amazing but relying on location, location, location. The resort needs some serious TLC and updating. The store and cold wine and beer/ cafe is a joke and seriously lacking. Closed whenever they wanted to. Perhaps it is because we were there in May. The servers at the Aurora dining room were a 5 out of 5 and should be commended. Housekeeping was a 3 out of 5 based on dirty dishes left. Resort does not supply ice and ice buckets. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay especially as the weather was amazing.

Nice slips in the harbor. We recently came in on a boat and stayed overnight. Shower facilities for boaters were good. You get access to the other facilities as well. Value was OK. You get nice facilities, but you pay for them.

This was our first visit to Poet's Cove Resort. We were travelling by boat and docked in the marina. The resort amenities were available for us to use - pools (kept very warm and they didn't enforce the 10pm close), hot tubs, showers, etc. This truly is an amazing spot and we lucked out with hot weather for May long weekend. The resort is clean and well taken care of. There is a coffee shop, lounge and fine dining restaurant to chose from. We ate in the lounge one evening and had less than stellar service - food was ok, followed by a buffet breakfast upstairs on our last day. The server greeted us and said to seat ourselves. All the available tables were dirty, however we sat and waited and waited. No one ever returned to greet us, clean the table or pour coffee. We helped ourselves to the buffet style breakfast and still waited for coffee. the food was typical buffet food that had been sitting a while. Not worth the $23/ person. Service was more than lacking in both the lounge and breakfast dining; possibly because this is the first official weekend of opening? Still not acceptable. They had live music on Saturday night which was lovely. Friends of ours were staying in the villa suite and it was gorgeous. It was very spacious and had a beautiful view of the resort overlooking the ocean. We will definitely most definitely return - I just hope their serving staff bring it up a notch.

This was my second visit, last one was 3 years ago. Staff was super friendly and helpful, food at Sirens was great and service was excellent. Hotel and grounds are in great shape. Would like to go back!

Poets Cove Resort in May. No crowd, no waiting times, the best deep tissue massages ever (ask for Shelley & Carolyn). Food on the deck of the pub was good, so was breakfast. The fine dining restaurant was closed, but how cares, since the food was good regardless. Enjoyed the incoming and outgoing yachts. Nice views. Will be back.

First you must get to and enjoy a beautiful southern Gulf Island (Pender) to get to this resort. You take a quaint little ferry from Schwarz Bay on Vancouver Island or Long Harbour on Salt Spring Island. After driving for 25 minutes from the ferry along winding hilly tree-lined roads you come to this beautiful resort. The scenery is lovely from the lodge which looks out over Poet’s Cove. There are super views from all rooms and cottages, comfy areas to sit outside or inside, and in general it is a quiet peaceful getaway (at least in shoulder season). Facilities are ample for us: a very well equipped exercise room, two hot tubs, the steam cave and spa was a highlight for us, There are boat rentals and swimming pools for kids in summer. Food was excellent and not too pricey $30. For two of us with one beer and sharing fish tacos and an amazing salad-plenty for us. Breakfast was included with our two night spa package; it was very filling so we only needed a snack for lunch. All in all we had a very enjoyable birthday getaway. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

We are laughing at the reviews about this place. The staff is simply amazing. SO, helpful...SO genuine...SO happy. The general manager was incredible. The place was impeccable and beautiful. Hot tubs clean. Cabins are ace. Our family had a wedding and we were all floored how amazing the staff is. It was raining all of a sudden for the outdoor wedding, so the staff quickly transformed the foyer into a wedding hall in 30min. This place rocks.... We are coming back...

A terrific evening last night at Poets Cove for their Dinner and Wine Pairing. A new Chef, local ingredients, Seastar wine, a fabulous view and sunset paired with good friends and great conversation. But the 'icing on the cake ' so to speak, was the attention from Chef and servers about Dave's nut allergy. So often we are made to feel we are a bother. Last night we were not only made to feel welcome, but Chef made a special dessert for Dave. Thank you Poets Cove for a special evening.
