The hotel is clean. The staff is helpful. The maintenance on amenities could be better. Those that are in working order are great. The hotel is comfortable and in a great location with easy access to the 80/90 Interstate. There are several restaurants close by. The morning breakfast items are good and there is a variety. The evening reception is ok it has been better at other Staybridge locations at which we have stayed. The laundry facilities are often left in disarray by other guests. The staff is quick to fix items if brought to their attention. The wifi is spotty at times and the satellite TV the same. It is reasonably priced and probably one of the better hotels in Elkhart. We will definitely stay here again if back in the area on business. The location is pet friendly.
We went to Staybridge last weekend on Saturday night for one night. It was easy to get to, check in was easy, the room was really nice and clean too! Everything we needed was there. Plenty of coffee, a coffee maker that worked, plenty of cream which is really never the case. We ordered from a Pizza Place that delivered and there was even salt in the cupboard! Ice maker worked, everything we needed was there and it all worked. Fridge, Stove, Microwave everything.
We arrived late in the evening and had to be 'buzzed' in which is common with extended stay hotels. This only took moments. After a long day of driving it was nice to be greeted with a smile. The public areas were clean and tidy. Our oom was next to the elevator but it was quiet. Everything was very clean and well equipped for an extended stay (full size refrigerator, stove top, dishwasher, microwave). The bed and linens were comfortable which made for a great night of sleep. This morning we found breakfast to have a good variety of well prepared items. As we left we were greeted by the front desk with another smile and a sincere inquiry regarding our stay. We told the gentleman we enjoyed it and wouldn't change a thing.
I enjoy the suites/apartment style hotels often more so than regular hotels and this is no different. I have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, and Microtel in Elkhart and this one of the four is by far my favorite. Staff is friendly, breakfast is regularly quite good and the dinner and happy hour they have Mon-Wed is a welcomed change of pace. It's nice to be done from a work day and just show up and eat sometimes. The rooms themselves have always been clean and open, which is pleasant when you have to work late at night on items you can crash on a couch or table top.
Great place as are all Staybridge motels, very clean large room fast internet. nice mini kitchen close to I 80/90 Toll Road. Very quiet and clean, ?I would recommend this motel. It is PET FRIENDLY and close to many dinning spots.
Clean hotel. Great Shower. Comfortable bed and pillows. Complimentary breakfast! AND Mon-Wed they provide a light dinner and beer or wine 😃, on the house! A dozen of restaurants within a 3 minute drive. I'm a return customer (3 times), will stay here again.
We stayed at this property from 11/3-11/5 while we attended the Notre Dame football game. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hospitality of the front desk was very good. The breakfast was on a scale of 7/10 but not bad for a hotel. The fruit was not very good.
Empty wine glass on the counter, hairs and other DNA on the bed, used soap and shampoo in the shower. Front desk said they couldn't move me to another room so I am stuck in this "used" room. Must be some new hires on the cleaning staff. Wasn't really impressed with the front desks response to my complaint either. They offered to change the bedding and do a deep clean tomorrow. I don't know the logistics but it would seem an appropriate response would have been to move me to an available room that is clean and deep clean this room before the rooms filled up. But what do I know?
I gave this establishment 4 stars only because the beds were firm and killed my back, the pillows are balls of foam and horrible, and the rooms next to the dining area on the second floor are loud as you will hear people downstairs and plates clinging. We travel to this town a lot for business, so if I stay here again I will bring my own pillow and ask for a room away from the open landing to the dining area.
To be very clear we didn't actually stay here, however we did try to. We arrived fairly late on a Saturday evening and the only rooms available were studio suites. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful in checking availability and showing us a room in case the studio suite would work, however we really wanted a 1 room suite so said we'd look at other hotels and see what they had. After checking out a couple of options we decided that the Staybridge had nice rooms and the gentleman had been so helpful, so we returned, only to find a lady looking after the front desk. Her understanding of English appeared to be limited, and after around 15 minutes we still didn't know if any rooms of any type were available, never mind how much they would cost so we gave up and went elsewhere. We did ask if the gentleman was available but it appeared he wasn't. On both visits there were drunk guests in the parking and lobby area, and when we looked at the room there was quite a lot of noise.
