Race Rocks was an excellent location for the things we wanted to do. The facility had a very useable kitchen, the bedrooms were reasonable large and the process for checking in and out went very well. The small issues we had were immediately addressed by the host. The only problem we had was that somehow the listing changed from one web site to another (we thought we were getting a 4 bedroom, it was 3 with a pull out couch. The host was also helpful with this issue.

The Race Rocks Townhouse was wonderful. It’s big and bright and steps from the water. You can sit and watch the basin all day. It’s also very close to the centre of Sooke, and to places like Whiffin Spit. And the host was great; very responsive and informative. All-in-all a great spot.

Restful and scenic stay at Race Rocks

We've stayed a number of times at this townhouse. We love the area and the people. The unit itself is always ready for us upon arrival and is well-appointed and clean. Rick's prompt responses are appreciated and we feel welcomed and looked-after. The location is excellent; we use it as a home-base for daily hikes and other activities.

Clean and Quiet

It was about a 25-minute ride on a beautiful road in a very quiet neighborhood from where we were working. We're checking. Instructions are super easy. I like that we can park our car in the driveway. It's a beautiful view of the water from the second floor. The kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials, even coffee and sugar. It's a bit dated decor but overall it's served our purpose and the beds and pillows were very very comfortable like hotel grade quality.. and I like that every bathroom had hand soap and body wash and shampoo. I would definitely stay there again. There's two hot tubs on the property that you can use till 10:00 p.m. Even the one was having maintenance while we were there but it's a very quiet community.
