Unique and quaint. Very clean and dining options on-site are awesome. Nature at its finest.

The hotel itself is nice, the noise from the wharf and trucks at 7AM is ridiculous, when we informed the staff at checkout, they simply acknowledge the issue.

The stay was short and sweet, just a last minute getaway. Dinner was great. The weather was warm and dry so the visit to the Sooke Pot Holes was terrific afternoon.

From the moment we drove up, we found this hotel to exceed our expectations, We were very pleased with all the accommodations from the outside area, to the individual rooms.

Unfriendly front desk staff at check-in didn't talk us anything about the hotel just gave the keys, bad service there and the restaurant very slowly, careless, don't care about offering good attention, could be they added the tip to Bill so does not matter how bad they served.. Great views from the restaurant bad with the service not working.. We were celebrating our 24 wedding anniversary and wanted a nice dinner but we end in a restaurant in town just for that service and now they charged 299.84 that supposed to be a preathorization to my credit card and not matters how I tried to talk to them just didn't care to fix it and now just waiting to the bank to deal with them because their customer service does not exist.. Very sad because the property is nice...

Very comfortable, ocean view, fantastic! Best hotel I've ever stayed in.

The room was spacious and quite comfortable. It was fun to watch the seals from our window right in our room. We stopped at the restaurant for a cocktail at the bar and were quite impressed with the happy hour selections. We shared among three of us a 2 pound steamer and clam pot. It was delicious! And 1/2 off during happy hour!

My husband and I loved this hotel. The only thing that I wish they had was a continental breakfast.

When we arrived, there was no one to help us with our bags or check in. Finally someone checked us in, but then we had to get a cart and take the bags to the room ourselves. The restaurant wouldn't allow me to get a beer at the bar and take it to my room. Even though the first night we stayed was very economical at less than $200/night, we had a camping mishap and showed up at 9 pm a few nights later to try and stay another night. We were told that the only room available was for $400. Instead of just taking pity on us and giving us the room at a lower rate, we went to another hotel which was fantastic, friendly and economical.

Friendly staff, beautiful views. Great in lobby cafe, comfy beds, nicely updated.

The bathroom was poorly laid out (beautiful big sink, but no counter space) and there was no working fan. And no fan in the separate toilet room. We were asked to hang our towels rather than send them to be laundered, but there were no towel racks. The bathtub is too deep for stepping in and out of safely it you have any mobility issues. Our room was not cleaned during the two nights we stayed there and we had to ask for dry towels. Rooms are very small. In many hotels there is room at one end for a comfortable reading chair. Our room had a very small table and two straight back chairs - ok for working, but not relaxing.
