Recent guest reviews

The hotel was easy to get to and the staff accommodated a late arrival. But the room was overrun with roaches that crawled EVERYWHERE. We arrived late in the night so did not make too much of a fuss. But they need to exterminate and do much better for their guests. Especially guests like us who were there with children.

I looked at some of the reviews and was a little nervous about my booking. The front desk staff was helpful. The room was clean and as described on the site. Good room good price. I would stay again.

I asked for a special conditions to be considered since I had a special needs person with me what I call they told me they had everything ready that I had listed, when I got there it was not the case I had asked for non-smoking they told me they had smoking because this person is a special needs person they could not tolerate the smoke in any way the gentleman told me to call Orbitz and get it straight, he was very polite but being in Jersey that is New Jersey right when I am getting ready to check in is not the time to call Orbitz, when I attempted to call Orbitz about 4 minutes into my call he came out and said that he can accommodate me but I would have to wait 20 minutes to get a room ready although I asked please for a early arrival two months in advance I was not happy with this but the man did try and that part I thought was nice the outside of the property was uncapped and the smoke from the first floor not only the cigarette smoke but also the special cigarettes weed came upstairs to where we were in the hallways the room was very stuffy so we bought some air freshener to kill the order and that seemed to work out the room was very clean I must stay and the service was excellent would I stay here again perhaps if the outside of the property was clean and and Kip up with a good trash blower everyday you could tell that it had not been kept up on the outside very good but my service and my room was very good except for the stuffiness and all that took was a little Eric

Only the breakfast options need improvement. But every thing else was ok

This hotel has a large sign over US Highway 22 that brags "Renovated Rooms" - if these are the renovated rooms I would hate to see the previous versions!! The AC had a mildewy smell if not kept on high cool. The toilet paper holder was broken causing the toilet paper to fall on the floor or trash can when used, and was not fixed when the front desk was notified. The "door stop" was a block of wood with sharp edges that was on the floor and could easily be walked into. The "breakfast" along with what they considered coffee was pitiful! The beds were acceptable, the TV was large but not HD, and the room size was good. Overall, barely 2 stars.

This is my go to Hotel, prices are great it's safe, clean and they are always updating the property. They are a small hotel that really care about the property.

The bed was terrible an the bathroom could use updating. An kept having issues with my room key

I stay here about once a year purely because it is the closest hotel (by 20min, and even now I wonder why I don't drive the extra 20min) to where I come down to NJ for a seasonal job. Otherwise there is nothing to recommend it. As others have stated, even after a 'renovation' several years ago, the halls have a distinct odor to them, people are noisy, walls are thin, half the security doors don't actually lock, and I always manage to walk past at least one room that reeks of weed.

Top notch accommodations with convenient ice machine, hot water and quiet. No inside route to office or breakfast room but just a few steps.

For the price and the other hotels in the area in the same price range, this hotel is by far the best hotel. I have to travel to the area every other week for work and have stayed at every hotel in this price range and this is the hotel I will be staying at from now on, highly recomend.

Having previously rated this hotel as 4 stars, I will refine my position. First, upon arrival we were informed that we could not have a non-smoking room for 2 nights. Our choices were a non-smoking for the first night and a smoking for the second night. For convenience we chose the same room for 2 nights but the smell was over-powering. The AC and fan made it worse. If I understood the receptionist correctly, if we would have booked earlier than 3 weeks we would have had a better chance of getting our first choice of 2 nites of a non-smoking room. We also discovered that we could only get one TV channel that had a choppy sound and splitting picture. Upon inquiry, again if I understood correctly, this was because we paid a lower rate through a travel agency (I heard the word 'debit'). I also got the impression that if we wanted TV, we'd have to pay extra. We declined.
