By the time I made reservations for Socorro, NM, the choices were limited. $170+ was the highest we paid for any night on our trip, and by an Econo Lodge? However, the Front Desk staff was pleasant and helpful. (The drive-thru entrance is a little tricky, only one vehicle at a time.) Our room was located in the very far back building, a blessing in disguise as it was VERY quiet back there, safe and uncrowded compared to the rooms closer to the office. Our room was very clean, spacious, with 2 Queen beds (not my wish but what I had to get-- prefer a king bed). There is only one nightstand between the 2 beds, so a person on the outer side must use a chair as a nightstand, but no power for their cellphone. Otherwise, all-working amenities were great. Thankful for the ironing board which my husband used for his suitcase stand, per usual with every motel. Liked the layout of the room with the sink area separate from the toilet/shower room. Breakfast (birder-friendly from 5:30) was good, bright. Morning was 29° so we drove (it"s that far) to the breakfast area. Good selection of hot and cold foods. Very nice woman kept things stocked, and told me about her mom"s recipe for gravy. The sausage? gravy (for the biscuits or eggs) was a rare treat for me, and we could stay there again when birding near Socorro.

Newly remodeled, very large rooms. Clean and convenient to Tech. Staff super nice and helpful. We had an issue with one of TVs in our room (yes, two TVs!) and the maintenance staff came immediately to fix.

Stsaff was very nice. The floor in our room was very dirty. The roof strongly smell of cigarettes. Lots of transient people checking the doors and hanging around. Luckily there were a few wildfire fighters staying a few doors down from us.

Exceptional hotel off the beaten path! Older building on the main drag in town but completely renovated rooms.Excellent amenities, bed, pillows TV, USB charging port. Check-in was a breeze with a very courteous and friendly staff. Shopping and dining are close by and walk-able. Very quiet and comfortable place. Highly recommended.

Room was very quiet with the exception of one noisy guest loading and leaving at 4:00 am. Everything in the room worked very well and parking was good and felt secure. Breakfast was kind of skimpy on the last morning when we had time to partake. I would stay here again without a doubt.
