I was traveling to Ottawa and needed a some where to stay for the night and came across this place. Rooms were nice, clean, quiet and the staff was amazing. The rates were better than expected. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked a hotel away from Ottawa we wanted to try something different, a motel. I reserved a small room but, upon arrival they upgraded my room ( prices were extremely reasonable). The room was clean and very large. Beautiful outside view Enjoyed that the rooms were not directly by the road and that we had our privacy. What most caught my attention was the Manager Mr Khan. The were very nice and very helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay

I went Ottawa fro a day and had to stay overnight. I stopped at Ecno lodge for the night, The room was spacious with large windows .. facing the River Though I did not have prior reservation .. but the front desk was very helpful Had a very good night sleep, Rested .. had a hot breakfast the next morning ,, and headed for Toronto Thanks for everything

I remember “back in the day”, this was known as The Carousel Motor Inn. In the 70’s it was a real jewel, now it has been allowed to deteriorate to a point that no one in their right mind would stay here. Bed bugs, dirty sheets, a used condom next to the bed, the toilet still had urine and feces in it, the balcony was in dire need of at sweep. When I returned to the front desk to say I needed a clean room, I was told “that’s what we have keep it or leave”. I left, drove on to Ottawa and found a nice place for the night. How they are allowed to operate this cesspool is b3yond me. Strongest possible recommendation that you stay far far away from this dump.

We stayed as guests this past weekend as part of a scrapbook weekend right at the hotel. Every attempt was made to ensure we had a great visit. The beds are super comfortable, the room was clean, the lobby is attractive and staff went beyond the call of duty. For instance as I was leaving and packing our van with all my scrapbook supplies one of the cleaning staff came over and asked if she could help me. She was a great help and so friendly! Khan was also very friendly and helpful. The price is excellent for the added care. Also the restaurant connected to the hotel is good as well. My favourite part was my view from the balcony... so pretty. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the wifi connection wasn't great and we wished there was a little something more for the continental breakfast such as possibly yogurt or eggs . We will certainly be back!!

As it was the only hotel available in the area was the only reason I came. At best it's a Motel with a nice canal -lock view. It use to be a Comfort Inn now Econo Lodge. Friendly staff. 1 small elevator for guests meant long waits - get a lower room on the river side. Updated washroom & bed but still basic room. The rooms have a balcony but there are dirty and "buggy". Noisy A/C Very disappointed with the poor internet server - kept disconnecting. I do not plan to return and can not recommend this site.

We were upgraded upon arrived August 26th 2017 to a King Bed Room. Room was very spacious and clean. Hotel was nice and quiet. Check in manager was very nice and helpful. We did not stay for the continental breakfast which was free but heard it was mostly bread, cereal, coffee and juice.

This hotel was right on the Rideau canal. The rooms were very clean and the manager Khan was very helpful and very kind. He takes great pride in his hotel and we has a fantastic stay. There is a great little breakfast place just up the street from the hotel as well right beside the giant tiger.

Front Desk was very warm and welcoming! Room clean and nice comfortable bed! Beautiful view from balcony overlooking Rideau Canal Lock! Dedicated breakfast room was well stocked with food for continental breakfast with tables & chairs and TV - even after 9am for us late risers! :) Beautiful parkland outside for an evening walk! Highly recommend!

We were driving through Smiths Falls last Saturday and stayed here, despite the bad reviews we read. We thought, it can't be that bad and we're only there one night. Oh my, I could not wait to get home to shower again, I felt so gross after sleeping there. The place is falling apart; we couldn't even open the balcony doors (they were so badly wedged in), cracks all over the walls, peeling paint everywhere, 1970s decor and bedspread. The hallway smelled dank and looked dreary, stained carpets. The curtains would not close properly allowing tons of light coming in around the edges (kept me awake for hours until I took a sedative). I realize they are doing renovations, would've been nice if they gave us one of the renovated rooms instead of one of the old dumpy ones. Really irked me that they were so expensive for a place so run down. We didn't even go down for the free continental breakfast, we just packed and high-tailed it out of there.
