Nice open and relaxed foyer. Nice new bar. Sligo Park offers a nice large function room for the wedding and lovely food. The accommodation has been upgraded and the rooms are nice and bright and airy especially the one looking out to the nice gardens. Lovely breakfast in the morning. House keeping staff where a bit noisy on the corridors in the morning... housekeeping staff could be heard in full conversation outside rooms and doors very banging on the way to the service lift. Residents require a bit of quiet time especially in the early morning. All in all a pleasant and relaxed stay at the Sligo Park.
Our Family of 26 stayed here to celebrate our Mum and grandmother’s 70th birthday where we had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were lovely and helpful.Would definitely stay at the Sligo Park Hotel again
Had a great family break here over Easter. It could have been a complete disaster due to my own error in booking but because of Lisa and Sharon who went above and beyound the call of duty we ended up have a fantastic time! They couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating so thank you again! Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The pool could badly do with an upgrade but we made the most of it and enjoyed every minute of our stay.
First rate hotel for comfort and most importantly, great hospitality. I was well looked after. The staff could not have been more helpful and my room was beautiful. I would certainly recommend it. Apparently some room have gorgeous views of the mountains- mine was of the back garden and still very pleasant. Lovely leisure centre with swimming facilities, steam room and Jacuzzi as well.
My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend break in March. We enjoyed our stay for the most part but we had a few negative comments which we took the time to highlight on the comment card but unfortunately got no feed back. Where's the point in having those cards in the room then. Thought about going back again but don't think so after that.
Stayed here for three nights for a family wedding. Had 2 toddlers with us. The hotel staff were excellent. Pool was great and I did see that they had some activities to suit older kids, which is good to know for again. Food was good, rooms were very clean and functional. Bonus was DVD player in room. In terms of wedding staff couldn't do enough they were great. Had kids meal on the table within mins of sitting down -as requested and held our main meal for us which we went to put kids to bed. The hotel is old and a bit dated but it's very clean and the staff are excellent.
Guest at a family wedding, the meal was not up to expectations and service was partially sloppy. Shame for such a special day. Many guests made the same comment. Did mention this to the Senior Lady on reception.
Fantastic hotel which is very family friendly and welcoming. Our 2 boys (8+5) had a fantastic time and we were so relaxed during our stay. Rooms are spacious and modern with a walk in shower. Nice touch was 2 x easter eggs on the bed on our return from a day out in Sligo. Movie night included popcorn and drinks in a room very close to the lounge so kids can come out to us if they needed to. Pool had a large inflatable set up for an hour and there was plenty of supervision and not too busy. Had an issue with a hairdryer in the bedroom which was cleared up by Ronan the manager and a complimentary bottle of wine sent us as we dined to apologise. Very thoughful of him. Overall we would highly recommend this family friendly hotel to friends and family and would return if considering another trip to Sligo.
My husband and I spent Easter in the Sligo Park. This hotel is first class. Lisa checked us in and could'nt be more welcoming. We'd booked a superior room and it was super. Spacious with a very comfortable bed, large bathroom with a walk in shower, lovely little touches, bottled water, coffee machine, choclates, newspaper and good toiletries. Gabrielle who serviced the rooms made sure we had all we needed. We had dinner in the restaurant on the three nights and were spoilt for choice. Good service and lovely food. I would certainly recommend this hotel for couples or families and look forward to contacting Margaret to book another relaxing break soon.
Just home after a fantastic Easter weekend break with the entire family of 7 adults and 3 kids in the Sligo Park Hotel. The staff are outstanding and really go the extra mile to make sure you are enjoying yourself. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The Kids had plenty of activities with a Egg hunt, daily movie at night which allowed us adults to enjoy our dinner in peace. Thanks again to the staff from reception, leisure center, bar, restaurant and everyone else for making us feel so welcome. we will be back :) !
