Lovely views and great decking area on the front lawn for a summer drink and relax Bar and food very good Service better than normal for a chain hotel Outside of the town if your wanting local ambience or culture
During my tour of Ireland I stayed at Raddison Blu for one night. This was a clean, customer friendly hotel with great service. The manager was very helpful to me when I had a problem connecting with the tour company in the United States. It took several hours for me to get to the Guest Relations Coordinator, of my tour in the U.S. However, he made sure that I received my calls. He understood the importance of my calls. The guests had access to heat. The amenities were great. I felt very comfortable there, and everyone at the hotel wore a smile.
I visited here with my wife and her family on a Saturday night for a meal in the Classiebawn restaurant. The service was very good and we were all attended throughout our visit, however my main course meal, when it arrived, was quite cold. My wife and her parents also had the same complaint. The food tasted good, but the let down was the fact that it was almost cold.
Normally when traveling on a group tour I do not comment on hotels but in this case I make an exception. The hotel looks fantastic and overall customer service from individual employees was great but the hotel treated our group like sheep. The buffet served was quite tasteless and they lower their own reputation by offering it. To say it was a three course offering is to say salad is an entree. The hotel is also at least 3km from Sligo so you cannot enjoy any food or entertainment in Sligo without transport. Lots of kids on there kids free deal.
The hotel is an extraordinary place to stay especially if you are travelling by car. It is not near the city centre but that makes it even more beautiful. The landscape around it is a delight and the rooms are excellent and very clean
Got a good deal on line and enjoyed every minute of our stay, Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Room was spacious and any query we had was dealt with efficiently - thank you "maintenance man"! Hotel was very busy with many children around but not noisy. Nice touch having ice machine on each floor + safe in room. Housekeeping was very good. The weather was perfect! No problem with parking. Bus stop outside hotel to access Sligo or beaches. We spoke to many of the staff but have forgotten many names, so sorry "guys" - thank you Adam the Polish Paddy, Gabriella from Sligo, Conor in the bar + reception staff. we will definitely be back.
We arrived on Sunday for a 2 night break, myself, my partner and our 4 year old. I had emailed a couple of weeks in advance requesting a quiet airy room (as being nearly 30 weeks pregnant, sleep is at a premium!!) Glad to say our room was both quiet and airy, the air-conditioning was great, especially as we were there for the 2 hottest days so far this summer! Couldn't fault room at all. Comfy bed. Plenty of room. We ate in the bar one of the days, the food was lovely, the breakfast on both mornings was lovely, plenty of choice. It was very very busy but always plenty of food there. Our 4 year old loved the swimming pool. We did have an issue the first night with regards to extra pillows and having to phone down to reception twice (an hour apart) requesting towels, the first receptionist saying they'd send them up and the second saying they'd none left!!!!!!! Anyways, we ended up with the duty manager coming up to us and he was very pleasant and apologised regarding the same! We did get our pillows in the end! Hopefully we will get back to visit sometime in the near future. I would love to try the spa facilities the next time.
We stayed here one night on a group tour. The hotel is modern and very nice. It has all the expected amenities with great AC, nice stand alone shower and comfortable king bed. The hotel offer bottle water in the room along with ice service. The included dinner and breakfast was good and plentiful. It was one of the nicest hotels that we stayed in during a 14 night tour. We would recommend others to stay here.
Arrived yesterday , lovely room , beautiful view. Great sun terrace to the front , nice and quiet. Breakfast this morning was good , friendly staff. Great location. Will certainly be back another time.
Stayed overnight for a friend's wedding. Disappointed to find out I had paid more for our room than other guests and a lot more than the emails I kept receiving prior to the start were offering me. So much for special rate for wedding and booking Early Not a comfortable bed at all either. When came back to room at night and wanting g to sleep we found an extra bed in the room had appeared, rang reception and had to wait for staff to come and remove it, no apology or explanation offered. There are much better options in Sligo
