This was our 2nd stay in a matter of weeks and the 1st time I feel the need to write a negative review for a hotel. The reason being; we got an extremely poor night's sleep in room 243 due to continuous noise throughout the night from what I believe was a conference group just behind the paper-thin walls of the bedroom but more annoyingly from staff moving tables and chairs around at 3am. I did complain to the front office manager next morning and he did apologise. I'm simply wondering is there any need to move furniture around for hours during the night when guests are trying to sleep?
Check-in : Arrived for a Golfing weekend with a group from Dublin & London @ end of April as is the case every year for the past 8 years, 3 years in a row for this Hotel. We arrived at round 7.30 pm on /Thursday evening to checked in, Check in was flawless, even though we all arrived at the same time, Check in staff had everything under control from the start, we all had our rooms assigned to us and staff were very Friendly, courteous and Profession and service with a Smile, sometimes rather lacking in some Hotels. Rooms: Our Room was Clean, spacious, with all the comforts of home, soaps, shampoo, hairdryer, spare pillows, TV, Wi-Fi, kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits etc.…. Breakfast : Have to say that the Buffet Breakfast here, is easily The Best I’ve had in any Hotel, I’ve stayed in, there was everything you could want on display, and plenty of it, Juices, Cereals, Irish Breakfast (a big Fry-up), many different breads, Croissants, pasties, and if it wasn’t there, then all you needed to do was ask, nothing was too much for the staff, and each one was as courteous, professional, as the next, and service with a smile Thank you! Bar / Restaurant: Bar/Restaurant is spacious, with 2 TV’s, nice comfy armchairs, and again Homely, the staff here were also courteous, friendly, and attentive, menu was very good and food was lovely and reasonably priced. I have 2 small criticisms, I had with the weekend. 1st one was, there was 2 weddings at hotel that weekend and they spilled out of the Wedding room into the Bar, now don’t get me wrong, I’ve done it myself a few times, sneak into the bar for a Quite drink with friends and then return to the wedding party, But! When they are loud and shouting and taking over the Bar and disturbing other guests, I think it should not happen? Especially when there is a Bar in the wedding party room, and even if most of the Wedding party are guests and staying over-night. I think that both should be kept separate. 2nd one was , On Saturday night we ordered a few sandwiches in the Bar/Restaurant only to be told that there was no food service at that time 9.30pm, even though the wedding party guests were arriving into the bar/restaurant with Chips, Goujons and other bits and pieces, now if there was staff to cater for those guests ! Surly they could have accommodated us with a few sandwiches!! “Just saying”. Spa : Sadly we didn’t get to use this facility, but definitely will next time. While I had a few small issues on the weekend, they didn’t spoil it; I really enjoyed my stay here again, and will definitely stay again, Lovely Hotel/spot. Thank you to all the staff.
We spent one night at this hotel and ate in their restaurant on arrival. This hotel is definitely a 4 class bordering on 5 class establishment. We were checked into the hotel very efficiently and booked dinner in the restaurant for that evening. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Containing a mini-fridge which is very rare these days! Dinner didn't disappoint either!.. We were presented with a most tasty aubergine mousse and an amuse bouche of tomato and basil soup, which was served in a tiny tea-cup. We ordered a starter of spicy prawns (to share) good idea, as the portion was very, very generous! Our mains were wonderful too!.. We asked for the cheese board, for pudding, as We were very tired and wanted to take this cheese board to our bedroom, with the remainder of our red wine!! .. Cheese board was a really generous portion... Delicious! Next morning, the Breakfast Buffet was PERFECTION in every way. I ordered a tomato and cheese omelette (I am beyond fussy and I only eat 'French-style' omelettes ie. runny!!) I ordered this omelette with trepidation ,as, I have very rarely (outside France) gotten an omelette, that I can eat and enjoy! Hurray!!! for me!...Omelette was perfect and I enjoyed it very much. We visited the spa after breakfast, as the weather was foul. Spa was clean and enjoyable to use... Loved the steam room.
Stayed at the beginning of My for 3 nights, room spacious and spotlessly clean, bed comfortable, cleaned and towels changed daily by lovely friendly staff. The bar was a very welcoming place to spend time with great staff, fish and chips excellent. Made use of the pool during our stay, never crowded. Reception helped with first aid for blisters! Would definitely stay again
Stayed overnight on a business trip and conference, business class room was even better than expected. Everything was well organised . The setting just outside Sligo town is beautiful. Would recommend for business or pleasure.
Stayed here last weekend with a friend in a twin room. No shower caps supplied, and only one bottle of shower gel on our arrival. They were provided next day on request. A glass of water which I drank early on first day wasn't moved/washed for the rest of my stay. Room was located near some sort of engine which roared from 5 am to 1 am approx, the following morning, making it difficult to sleep at night. I booked rooms in early March so would have expected better room location. I won't be rushing back.
We have just returned from a relaxing overnight stay in the Radisson Blu Sligo. The hotel has recently been refurbished and looks very well. The food as always was delicious. We had a beautiful spacious Business Class room/suite. The staff were as friendly as ever and nothing was a problem. We enjoyed a late check out on Monday after a leisurely super buffet breakfast. The hotel ticks all the boxes and customer service is excellent. We look forward to our next visit.
I stayed in this hotel many times with my family I wouldnt stay any where else in Sligo. The hotel is of such a high standard clean, spacious, great food and very efficent and friendly staff. I recommended this hotel to friends as we were going away for a 30th birthday celebration, we had such a wonderful stay and all 5 of us will definatly return. The breakfast chef (older man) is so welcoming to guests in the morning always happy and pleasant. I cudnt recommend this hotel enough. Thanks for yet again another fab stay!
We throughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel! From the minute we arrived until the minute we left! The room was a lovely size very clean and spacious. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was great! We will be back for a visit again! 😀
This is a great hotel, we enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Everything about this hotel was excellent. The room was great, massive bed and very spacious (we were lucky enough to get an upgrade). The food was excellent, with the breakfast buffet one of the best I have ever experienced. Considering the quality of the hotel, the overnight rates are very competitive. Overall we were very impressed, and I would recommend this hotel highly.
