Everything was wonderful the whole family had a great time. Only thing is that we stayed there at 4 nights 5 days, out of all of them we never had cleaning service at all........ The last day was offered at 4 o'clock we declined, it was late and we had already packed. What was there to clean we weren't enjoy the. cleaning because next the morning we were leaving very early .

We were located in Unit 5, which was beach front. The beach and ocean views were a sight to see. Our favorite employee of the resort was Carol. Carol works at the hotel bar/restaurant. She is very personable and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Nice hotel on the beach with great grounds and pool areas. Construction limited parking for guest automobiles. Check-in left a lot to be desired with 4 or 5 check-in stations and only 2 employees checking guests in and causing a large delay getting to ones room.

Convenient to everything- store, restaurants, marina trips & ocean.

I was moved to a hotel up the street away from my friends and family due to no rooms available. I am a regular at the Flamingo and I was met by the manager to be informed of the move. The lady at the front desk was going back and forth passing messages between us. It was very unprofessional.

First, let me say that I have stayed in St. Maarten a total of 5 times. The hotel I normally stay (Simpson Bay Beach Resort) disappointed me during my stay 6 months ago, so I decided to try something new. Check-In: Went okay, they try to sell you from the gate after waiting till 4:00pm to check in... They do have an awesome beach bar. The Stay: They gave us a room facing the parking lot, I was originally promised a beach or pool facing room and was told that we were set to transfer in the morning. I voiced my concerns that we had an excursion in the afternoon and would need to be able to change, etc. They stressed the room would be ready by 10:00am, then 12:00pm, then 1:00pm, then 1:30pm. At 1:30pm they gave us the key and told us the House Keeper was cleaning the room and should be finished in 15 min. We decided to check the location and view before waiting further....We get to the room, swipe the card and there was a couple in there :-8 I was livid. The other couple told us they were given 5 minutes to leave the room with no destination. Needless to say 5 min later we were all back at the front desk. Guest Services insisted they were given that information from housekeeping. I later found that to be believable. Housekeeping proved to be a challenge. For towels and room cleaning, etc.

Beautiful place clean friendly staff and very comfortable

Very pleased that the description of the hotel matched what we got! Happy that hotel was right on the beach! There was a deck to sit out that had a garden view. Loved having a full kitchen. Clean and very comfortable!

We have stayed at The Flamingo in the past and enjoyed it. This time our room was not in one of the main buildings on the beach. The room was ok, but it was too far from the beach and, although it was a large room, it was set up in a way that made it seem small and crowded. My husband is an amputee and I recently had a spinal fusion. We are both in good shape, but the walk to the room was difficult and at times painful. We asked to be moved, but the resort was fully booked. Of course, this was not the resort's fault, we should have made sure before we booked. I would recommend The Flamingo, but make sure you're in one of the main buildings and not behind the resort on the hill in building 3 or 4. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Overall, we had a great time, but we've been going to St. Maarten for years and know where to go and what to avoid :)

We had a studio in building 7 ocean view. The decor was fine, they need a bit updating but was nice enough. We slept on the pullout which was comfortable. Didn't hear any complaints about the king. Our first unit was 7122 which was by Toppers and it blocked our view. Second day of our stay, we received a call at 0915 stating we had to move to a different unit and we must be out at 1015. Our new unit would not be ready until 1pm that day! We worked things out with the new units cleaning lady, who should have been a front desk person! She had more customer service skills than the front desk. She allowed us to store our food and repacked suitcases in the new room. I'll admit the new room had an awesome view and beach access! (7146). The front desk people were nice enough but I really do believe they should have offered something for the inconvenience they caused. They didn't even offer an apology. The place is very similar to Simpson bay resort and marina and they pretty much share the same property. We didn't use the pool but it seemed ok. Kinda small area. The beach is crowded. The age group is old. The one obnoxious thing is these old people get up at must be 6am to claim their stake on the small beach and then only come out for an hour or two. They need to have a use it or lose it policy. All in all a nice place. Try not to get an owner condo. That was the reason they made us move. Personnel were nice. Make sure you tip the beach chair guys.

My friends and I booked this place thinking it was a real resort. When we arrived at 1PM, we were told that checking is at 4PM (no early checkin). We went out and returned at 5:30PM and we were told our room was not ready and they couldn't give us room next to each other or on the same floor. Priorities go to timeshare clients; none of our requests were accommodated. The hotel room itself was decent but did not make up for the other issues we had. This is not a resort and I have been to many many resorts. I would not recommend this Hotel.

Bathroom needs updating Only 1 day of house keeping for a week!!

Visiting SXM for almost 30 years now and never had a problem like this at any hotel. Sewage leaking in water Given key to our room and someone was sleeping in the bed when we opened the door. Safe malfunctioned and took almost 1hr to get help. At checkout the computers were down.

Great staff. Within walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants. With previous visits the rooms had great wifi but this trip wifi only worked in lobby which was upsetting.

I wish I could say my room was perfect. I was shocked to notice BLACK MOLD growing on the partition screens and behind the fire extinguisher on my last day here. If house keeping staff washed the walls down with a mild bleach solution weekly ,this could be avoided. This must have been the reason I awoke each day with itchy eyes. The shower head was loose from the the wall . I needed to push it back against the escution plate each time I showered. Plumbers putty would fix that . There was also rust around the bottom plate of the lamp on one of the night tables. Paint peeled from the dishwasher exposed rusty corners. I should have said something during my stay . I feel it would have meant switching rooms . I had to do anyway since my first choice was not available on my first night. The second room I was assigned was given to another couple. The resort is in need of a huge overhaul. A better room assignment system since my second room was occupied when I was switched Monday . I am glad I did not walk in to the room while it was occupied .... How can you assign one room to 2 different reservations? Chipped tiles on the steps, dripping water from exit signs, to broken shuffle board pieces. This is a major disappointment. Your sales people push time share ever chance they can . Spend some money to repair the resort and maybe I would consider it listening to your pitch. One thing I can not complain about is the location or the beach.

It's really nice ! But after 3 days they have housekeeper to go cleaning ! So for 3 days for room was full of sand !!

very nice beach, great little bar/restaurant on site, best to rent a car to get out and explore the area as there is not much within walking distance. absolutely fabulous trip- cant wait to go back. we would stay here again

This is my 7th stay at the Flamingo. Awesome value for the money but it's not the Ritz Carlton so be reasonable about expectations. Overall it is located in the best location (IMO) and the property is constantly being updated. Book and enjoy! JC from NS, Canada

the hotel staff was fantastic maintenance left a lot to be desired for two years the elevators have been broken and I am not getting any younger not enough parking space under the building because of 4 chained off spots which should be for guest not Topper the restaurant owner and the towel replacement shack is at the end of the world it is a long walk at the end of the day

A little disappointed we couldn't really use our balcony because of construction work on the building and internet connection needs major improvement. But overall, we had a great time and I sure we will be returning!! The room was great!!
