I stayed here on a 1 day trip. Overall the property is dated and rooms are located outside however the decor is modern/renovated. I can honestly say that as much as I travel I have never experienced customer service like the one at this hotel. It was great! My room was upgraded, the front desk started a conversation and the GM even came out and sparked up a conversation as well. It was very warm and inviting. I received a welcome bag with perfect goodies! (trail mix, cereal bar and water) in the morning, breakfast was great and the breakfast attendant was friendly and greeted everyone with a smile even at 7 in the morning. :) Onsite pool, 24hr fitness, complimentary breakfast, onsite parking.
Rooms are great. Absolutely love the way it is arranged, inside and out. This is my first time in a cottage resort style stay and I liked entry but of it. Very spacious and well ventilated. Could've added little more white lights but I'm just nitpicking here. Staff is very friendly and the general manager makes it a point to say a word or two to everyone in the breakfast table. They try to accommodate all your requests best as they can. Breakfast spread is typical American. Overall, if I have to stay here again, I would do it without second thoughts. Overall
Let me first day the staff is extraordinary. The general manager was super helpful and personable, but the property is below my standards for a Marriott property. The landscaping is nice with lots of blooming flowers. Once I walked in, the smell of musty carpet hit me. The rooms are very apartment-like which is nice but seem run down. Mine had a fireplace which was cool but it would have been a bonus if a log was provided at least for platinum members. Half the time the internet wouldn't work which was a real bummer when I was working at night and didn't want to call to have someone come fix it. Breakfast was typical for Residence Inn. At least I can count on that. Overall, I'll find somewhere that smells better.
My family had a nice stay here over the Holidays. A nice room with a bedroom, sleeping loft, fireplace and nice kitchen-living area. The work team was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and efficient. There are nice restaurants and shopping nearby. A little worn but we do recommend for a nice stay.
Never encountered such a bad environment else where, this is a very bad place to stay. I'm a Platinum Premier member and usually get good treatment, not here. Staff is very bad and had to check out in few days though I had long term reservation (moved to an other property on Cedar Blvd and they are much better). This property is on 880 and Mowry, makes it very noisy, loads of carbon dust and risky. Their breakfast service and evening snack service were also bad.
excellent value for the price....staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. My only response to those saying facility needs to be updated: if you want "gaga beautiful"...easy to spend twice as much in this area. Would recommend enthusiastically.
Have stayed at this hotel several times while on business. It is right off the interstate and has many stores, restaurants that are close and a starbucks next door. First off I have to agree with some previous reviews that the property could use some updating as carpet and furniture look worn. The one drawback about the location is that the property back on to the interstate so it is best to get rooms on the north side of the property. We enjoy the penthouse suite for the extra room. Note that there are two penthouse suites one with two beds and lower bedroom closed off by French doors and the less expensive open concept lower bed is a pull down murphy bed and no French doors. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need but found the coffee mugs to be too small. Breakfast is served daily but found this location to be lacking compared to other residence inns. The selection was very limited and no biscuits and/or gravy, no pancakes, and no hash browns. They only had regular bacon once in the 9 days we stayed there and instead they had flat chicken sausages disks and some type of pepperoni meat slices as well...gross. Eggs were always scrambled or whites scrambled and cold hard boiled were offered. Only one waffle iron which is not enough if place is busy. Attendant could not keep up with refreshing items when busy and there is not enough seating. Some mornings had to sit out by the pool to eat. During the week there is a happy hour with free beer and wine and some type of snack. But found this lacking as well compared to other residence inns which usually have a barbeque. One day they just offered waffles and ice cream which is not really a happy hour meal to have with a drink? The grounds were okay there is a pool but no spa pool to relax. There were no lounge chairs initially but some appeared later in our stay which helped. There is the standard basketball/tennis court and some sitting areas for smokers and a dog walk area. The wifi is free with a fairly strong signal and there is coin laundry on premises.
We stayed here over the weekend and 4 days into the week. For the time period we were there this was the best price we could find for a Marriott property. We were in one of the penthouse rooms that has a loft type bedroom, a bed that folds down out of the wall (I think they call them Murphy Beds) and a sleep sofa. This location is near a few restaurants and a Starbucks is next door. The breakfast is the typical Residence Inn breakfast which is part of the reason we stay at this brand. Only 40 mins from Fisherman's Warf
Staff at hotel exceptional. Key system does not work. Each time we needed to get back in our room we had to call front desk. They sent maintenance out to get key to work. Date of visit was February 20 for 1 night
Two weeks stay and it never seemed to be a "hotel room". felt like an apartment. Very comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast each morning was tasty. Grounds are clean and the afternoon happy hour was great for winding down.
