Stayed one night for business trip. Good location, free parking. It's ok for one night but bedding is what you expected. Wifi was ok, it was good enough for one night to stay in between the business trip.
The rooms are the most sub-par that you can roughly find in Silicon Valley. Very very poor quality, made out of the cheapest materials available and missing most basic aspects, like a coffee maker. The walls are paper thin, and you end up hearing everything in the rooms nearby. There's also no daily room service. And the rooms are squished together like a very tiny studio apartment.
If you plan to stay longer than a week then you may like this hotel since it has attached kitchen and they provide commonly used utensils. It's located close to the expressway so it may bother you sometimes. Choose rooms on the 2nd floor if it's available.
Very courteous staff, everyone was very helpful and exhibited great customer service. The facility itself is very shabby, and needs a complete overhaul. The beds and bedding are very uncomfortable. The exterior of the hotel is depressing, and needs to be painted. The grounds are old and just generally not appealing at all. The location is good, but we won't stay there again.
First, I rarely write a bad review. You really have to work at getting a bad review from me. I am very familiar with the huge challenges of the service industry, and have a thick skin in that regard. That said, it was a mistake on my part booking this place. When I arrived the checkin was fine, and the employee very professional. From there it went tragic... I arrived late after a long day of air travel and subsequent traffic, and upon getting to the room door knew immediately this was a mistake. Thru the window I could see materials from the previous resident were still in the room. The room was also in a bad location even though I paid above rack rate, and the location was far from full...they gave me a room at the bottom of the stairs which was noisy and a lot of traffic even at early morning hours. The insider was well worn, the door had a gap you could see around, there were scattered remnants on the previous resident. My first guess was someone was still assigned this room, and my second was the room wasn't cleaned. It turns out that neither was true, and for whatever reason when the room was cleaned they staff left things behind. The room is supposed to be for people that want a kitchen, and the dishes were not put away/still on the counter. Additionally there was only one coffee mug, and one small plastic glass. Given the price of the room, this was beyond acceptable. I've stayed at hotels in far flung locals which were sketchy, but for those I knew what I was getting into. The final stray for this room is that when I pulled the bedspread down, two bugs ran out. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Unless the heat or cold gets you, you are better off sleeping in your car, and taking a napkin-bath at a McDonald's. The Wifi was also unacceptably slow/of very limited use.
Booked two beds...got one! Had to sleep on the floor! Staff was friendly. Breakfast sucked except the coffee was drinkable. I wouldn't stay here again for many reasons. For the price I expected a lot better!
Never ever expected such poor quality of room . Found couple of insects on the bed. Unfortunately could not take photos , informed front desk, was told cleaning staff will make room good but didn't happen.. it appeared as if I am staying in super dirty place .
Contrary to many of the negative reviews I had a good stay for a recent tech conference visit. The check-in was a breeze, several of the front desk staff I encountered throughout the 5-day stay were professional and courteous. The room was clean, quiet, well furnished, and the bed was comfortable. Location of the hotel was convenient to everything in the San Jose and Silicon Valley area, all the major employers, as well as the SJC airport were all within around 15 min of drive (without traffic). It's also near restaurants and groceries for food or anything else you may need. Most of the residents during my stay were your typical Silicon Valley tech professional types. There were a few exceptions, which some may characterize as being "sketchy" but I didn't encounter any issues and it should go without saying that as with any place, common sense should be applied (don't leave valuable in the car or visible in the room, lock the doors etc.). Overall as a budget hotel it was an fine stay and a good value.
I stayed here for a business trip because all of the other nicer hotels in the area were booked. The staff was really friendly but the place wasn't that nice. The room was in need of some cosmetic work. Chipped counter, leaking toilet, loud fridge, itchy bed . . . The vending machines were all sold out so was directed across the street and two blocks down to get bottled water and a snack. I wouldn't stay there again.
I enjoyed my few days stay at this hotel, very clean, quite location and friendly staff. Actually if you drive for 5 minutes there is a strip mall with a chinese supermarket. and the there are many restaurants at El Caminio Real. The funny thing is that it is hard to find the exact location of the hotel, it took me about 4-6 turns back and forth to the same exit until I found the entrance to the hotel. You gotta turn right on the first drive way right after you come from the highway exit on to El Camino Real.
