Towneplace Suites by Marriott Sierra Vista2.5 out of 5.0

I spent a month at this hotel during a business trip in August, and have stayed at this type of Marriott property in other areas. The suite benefits from a very efficient design for the single business traveler. The compact kitchen includes a conventional oven which expands alternatives to eating out for every meal. The complementary hot breakfast offers a variety of options for the short stay, but becomes a bit boring on long stays. The hotel staff is most accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with. Other amenities include coin operated guest laundry and fitness room with elliptical and tread mills. The hotel is just off a major intersection with a shopping mall complex and other dining options.
Typical Marriott TownePlace Suites with all the amenities that you would expect. The staff was helpful, friendly, and addressed us by name every time we entered. (Although this may have been because the facility was low on guests. The low levels of guests were probably the cause of my only complaint: the maid service arriving every morning between 8:30 and 9:30.)
The room is updated, and clean. I had to ask for a sheet set to be delivered for the sofa bed many times before it was fulfilled. The property did not seem as nice as a Marriott property usually does, and the service from the front desk was not at the Marriott standard.
Had a reservation for a 2 room suit made almost a month before. We called to confirm our reservation a week before and everything was fine. We arrived around 11:30 pm and they gave our two room suit away and gave us a one room. Everything was great except changing our reservation, it is unacceptable.
I come to this hotel about 4-8 times a year for business. It is my favorite hotel in the nation. It is clean and offers everything I need- but most importantly, the staff is outstanding. I've interacted with Ed, the GM, a few times and he has built a great staff. On this particular visit I was assisted by two staff members- Melissa, who I believe is the night manager, and Lee who is in during the morning and he has helped me in the past on numerous occasions. Both did a great job taking care to help me with my specific requests. These two are exemplary!
We found this online as we needed a place to stay between Bisbee and Tombstone while visiting. I used rewards points. Only 7500 which was a great value. Hotel is in a good location right off main route to the surrounding towns. Plenty parking, rooms were clean and plenty amenities if needed, laundry room and gym and pool. (none of which we needed). The breakfast included plenty sufficient for starting a road trip. Hot and cold items. Dont forget to look at the mountain range behind the hotel, Snow capped and even more interesting is the large blimp like surveillance balloon near the military base nearby. Staff was polite and helpful. Nice Find. Enjoy!
Very close to the mall, movies, restaurants and home depot. All around the place is clean and had a great grilling area. Dislikes about the hotel the walls are paper thin. I can hear a person trying to clear his throat or people exiting/entering their rooms.
Nice budge hotel near Tombstone. We stayed here for one night on our way to New Mexico after a visit to Tombstone. The rooms were clean, quiet and spacious. The hotel is newer, so things are still in good working order. The beds weren't the best I've ever slept in, but for this price you can't expect perfection. The service was friend and professional.
I'll start this review off by saying I've stayed at Marriott's my whole life and currently have Gold Status with over 200,000 points. I made a reservation at this location nearly 2 months out from when I was due to arrive. Business circumstances did not allow me to go on the trip, however I did go online and cancel the trip 4 weeks PRIOR to my arrival. Two days later I noticed my credit card had been charged by the facility (2 rooms for 1 night). I called the location up and asked why I was charged and the clerk had no idea why, but stated he'd have the manager call me. A few hours later the manager called and said the charges were legitimate. I was perplexed because I've always booked through Marriott and been able to cancel up to 24 hours before arrival. Well apparently in the FINE print there was something about paying in advance. The manager was completely rude and unprofessional. So, I was charged over $300 for not even staying here. I asked for a credit for another time and that was denied as well. I even called Marriott corporate and they advised there was nothing they could do. So, if you're looking for a room and traveling to Sierra Vista, Camp Huachuca....book somewhere else. They are not a reputable business.
We stayed at the hotel for almost 60 days while relocating back to the States. The rooms were nice and staff was accomodating and nice except for housekeeping. I had to ask for a vacuum cleaner so I could clean the room since housekeeping hadn't vacuumed one time within a week. Also, I started to ask for the beds to be made otherwise that would have never happened plus had to ask for the sheets to be changed. When we finally moved out I had forgotten my make-up in the room and I called a few days later to inquire about it. I was told it was found (2 full pouches) and I had my husband pick it up. When I got it back I discovered that half of the make-up was stolen. I was very disappointed that this happened and I called to inform the management, but never received any kind of feedback.
