I used Trip Advisor to select a hotel for last night in Sierra Vista, AZ. Everything positive about the reviews I read were true, and it is even nicer than it looks online. We were not disappointed! My Mom and I are very particular about where we stay. The front desk staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The hotel and all areas are very clean and well decorated. Very, very nice pool/jacuzzi area. The hotel rooms are quiet, clean, good sized, all beds very comfortable, the kitchenette is well-equipped, and the bathroom roomy. The happy hour/dinner and breakfast foods were all tasty. The coffee was delicious! The food staff and cleaning staff are very friendly too. We will plan a trip around staying here again.
We stayed here for 3 days the last week of March.I was visiting my cousin in Sierra Vista and we had no idea there was so much to do near here. The staff was very cordial and upbeat ,two free drinks a day beer, wine, soft drinks, water. We missed the free dinner Monday-Thursday but the breakfast was a notch above a continental breakfast eggs, sausage, bacon etc.The rooms all have a stove ,full size fridge and microwave. You must visit Kartchner Caverns if you do nothing else.Bisbee is another side trip for a good walk and great food and its quirky shops and bars.
I booked Garden Place Suites based purely on TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The whole place was extremely clean, from the parking lot to the rooms. Every staff member we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. The "happy hour" was a lovely treat every afternoon/evening. Breakfast, although simple, was certainly enough to put you on for a while. We did not use the pool but the pool area looked clean and well cared for. The rooms were immaculate and well appointed. The only complaint, and it's a small one, would be that we were in an "accessible" room and in the bathroom there was a very small shower stall that was made smaller with the folding bench, the shower had no place to put any toiletries. The sink area also had no storage and limited counter space. Our adjoining room was not an "accessible " room and had plenty of storage both in the shower and on top and under the counter. The kitchenette was very adequate although a full size coffee pot would be great! We loved it here and it was within easy access of everything we wanted to see...Bisbee, Tombstone, Kartchner Caverns. Can't wait to return!
The place really works. Friendly reception, nice evening reception with a couple of beers and food. Place is immaculate, room very well maintained, it's a genuine bargain for all they provide. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
This is the 4th time we have stayed at this hotel. We keep coming back because of the cleanliness of the rooms. The rooms are nice sized, all have a king bed, loveseat, recliner, apartment sized fridge, small kitchen & nice sized bathroom. They offer 2 frees drinks per room per night, beer, wine, soda. There is fresh popped popcorn, corn chips & cheese & salsa to snack on. There is also a light dinner provided if you don't want to venture out for dinner. The 2 nights we stayed there they had a dinner of salad with meatball subs, & salad with eggrolls & rice. Although we did not eat the dinner as we had other plans, several of the guests were eating and they said the food was very good. Breakfast is your typical continental choices. They did have eggs & bacon. It is served from 5:30-9am. If you don't get there until 8:15am, your choices will be very limited because they didn't seem to refill the items that they were running low on. The bed is pretty soft, they really should replace them. All in all a good place to stay, plus it is just across the street from the Army Base.
We made the choice to jump over Tucson in favor of staying in Sierra Vista for a meeting the following morning. Peter at the front desk helped us with a reservation when Expedia dropped us. He offered a complimentary beverage after checking us in. We loved the recliner and loveseat in one corner with a good bed on the other side of a low divider. Breakfast was good and they have started serving a lite dinner Monday - Thursday evenings. Good room, breakfast, happy hour and dinner - this is above and beyond what most places will offer. The staff was very polite helpful. This clean, well-kept comfortable facility is family owned rather than another big chain. Next time we visit Sierra Vista, we plan to stay at Garden Place Suites.
Yes the rooms are large and comfortable coffee 24 hours the breakfast is adequate.there was a complimentary news paper. A kitchen area if you feel like cooking there are no restraints within walking distance but just a short drive away.
Stayed here for 2 nights so we could visit Tubac, Bisby, Tombstone and Kartchner Caverns. It was clean and quiet. A few hiccups when we checked in...but in fairness the Gal was new to the job. Breakfast was very adequate, happy hour drinks were a nice touch. The buffet dinner left much to be desired, I wouldn’t suggest counting on having dinner here. Over all a very nice stay
This hidden gem of an independent (non-chain) hotel must be the best in Sierra Vista. Every night from 4:30 to 9 pm the Happy Hour provides two free drinks per room, plus assorted snacks. Monday through Thursday they serve a light complementary dinner, from 5 to 7 pm, buffet-style. Every morning there's a continental-style breakfast, on the house. Other amenities include: fitness center, heated outdoor pool plus hot tub, business center, guest laundromat, send-out dry-cleaning and laundry service M-F, and the meeting room. Also available 24/7 in the lobby: fresh fruit, coffee, tea and hot water. The rooms are all King mini-suites with equipped kitchenettes. The free WiFi works, except for occasional short-term glitches. There's cable TV. The lobby with a fireplace is comfy. The staff I've encountered, of all departments, all aim towards the highest standards of service--over-the-top professionalism, helpfulness and friendliness. Besides, this is the cleanest, best maintained hotel I've ever visited--common areas and rooms alike! The location is likely highly convenient: near Ft. Huachuca; across from a gas station with a convenience store; on the #1 Vista Transit line with a bus stop in front. The Garden Place Suites' sister hotel, the Gateway, just blocks southward, is similarly great, and it's pet-friendly, whereas Garden Place Suites is not, the only drawback, for me. Though the Garden Place Suites is less than a decade old, the decor is traditional, charming and older-school. So, I'm extending my stay while exploring and sightseeing in southeastern Arizona.
Stayed here a Thursday to Monday. Room (#308) was in perfect condition. No damages to walls, furniture. Bathroom adequately large. Bedding and towels in perfect condition, and bed was comfortable too. Quiet. There were differing main breakfast offerings each morning, and all were good. Very nice seating area looking out to the mountains in the west. All staff that were encountered were pleasant and professional. The only dissatisfaction was the hot water temperature, I felt that it could have been hotter. It may have just been my room though, as the room was top floor and could have been furthest from the water boiler. It was hot, though not as hot as I would have liked. The location is very convenient to the military fort. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
