It's a bit of a hike up to Sienna but the walk is worth it, you avoid a lot of the tourist crowds coming from this direction. There are some steep hills to the top of the town, so be warned but I would stay here again. Relatively simple check in and out, no complaints.

Our experience at Domus il Palio B&B was very disappointing. Despite weeks of trying to arrange a check-in outside their short window, we only heard back two days before our stay. If our room hadn't been non-refundable, I would have canceled. The advertising is misleading. They do not have dedicated parking; it's street parking, often far away. Breakfast was initially quoted at $8 per person but was later told $20. The room walls are thin, making it very noisy from the street and other guests. We were frequently woken up around 5:30/6am. Most staff were rude and difficult to communicate with, except for Chiara, who was helpful. Overall, I cannot recommend Domus il Palio B&B.

Great place to stay in Siena!

Great place to stay in Siena. Close to the train station and a short walk to the historic centre. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Highly recommended!

Fine place for a night

There for one night and only slept in the room so it was perfectly nice. We did not get breakfast because it was quite expensive, and looking at it it was a lot of bread and cakes so we did not regret it. The bed was also quite soft, I prefer a harder bed but it’s personal preference so I did not mark it down for that.

Fantastic stay in Siena

Amazing accommodation with modern and clean rooms. A little out of the centre (approx 15 minutes via escalators into the city centre) but this was pleasant as it was away from the crowds of tourists. Several restaurants close by and a 10 minute walk to the train station and large supermarket. Includes a delicious varied breakfast and the staff were so pleasant and friendly.

Interesting concept of a shared living room/kitchen with various rooms surrounding the main area. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Easy parking on the street. The only disadvantage was the noise as it’s located next to the road.

It was clean. The bed was comfy. It is on a main road but you couldn't here the traffic. Breakfast was simple but OK. Easy to get to by car but had to park in the street. It was free though. Shower was a bit disappointing. Was a rain style but not enough pressure. One downside is the proximity of the room to the breakfast area. Other guests were up early and were noisy.

Lovely, quiet spot

A lovely spot just outside of the main town but within very easy walking distance. Lots of free parking available in the area. Very big, comfortable bed and spacious room.

Happy in Siena

My host’s mum stayed late to check me in the night. She spoke about five words in English and was just the sweetest cutest thing. I adore her. She called her daughter, although I already understood everything she said (we played with Google translate). Their willingness to go above and beyond in addition to the cleanliness and beauty of their space, has made a happy guest.
