Stayed for five day package great front desk service and then there is Ernest - he went out of his way to make our stay special and he did - remarkable service The facilities are clean and modern the water pressure is poor but shower was good. Travel by bus to the city buy tickets at the front desk and get on bus right out the front. Love the place
The staff here are super efficient and friendly. Breakfast had great variety. Evening meal was good selection although dinner isn't until 7.30 pm. Ernest the waiter was so helpful with wine suggestion
Purchase local bus tickets from Hotel Reception Get off bus at the Railway Station and take the escalators into town at least once Invest in a good map, take your walking shoes - so much to see Have a calzone at one of the many fantastic restaurants in Piazza del Campo
This was the cheapest place we stayed during our three weeks in Italy and it compared favourably with hotels two and three times more expensive. 2-3 km from Piazza Del Campo, 10 minute bus ride (€1.20)from the front of the hotel or walk in (45 mins) . 5 minutes by taxi from the station. Modern well appointed rooms, good bathroom, TV, mini fridge, etc. always clean and tidy. Fantastic staff from our driver, to reception, housekeepers and of course Ernest the head waiter (?) who is building quite a profile on Trip Advisor. He made us feel special, as he did with every guest. Meals varied from OK to good - we found this in other places too. We were on on Luxury Escapes package that had some really good inclusions and it's worth checking out. No it's not in the old city and there are no views but you won't beat this hotel in terms of value for money. Would happily stay there again.
We had a 7 night luxury escape in this great little hotel. Close to Siena (only a few minutes by bus) and a great central point for Chianti wineries and other historic sights like Volterra and Monteriggioni. We had a hire car and explored Pisa, Bologna, the lakes and many more sights all within driving distance for day tours. The shower had terrible water pressure, but everything else about the room was clean, working and well serviced. Staff were great. Ernest in the restaurant/bar always went above and beyond! Thanks for a great stay :)
We are in a trip around Italy for 15 days with a baby and all hotels so far were very helpful on providing a kettle, microwave or any sort of jag that we could warm a bottle for the baby. Just went downstairs and was informed that they can’t help me anyhow on warming up a bottle for the baby but the hotel has a kettle for all superior rooms, which means was my fault I haven’t booked a superior room to have the luxury of a kettle in my room, what a joke. I just checked on line and there are superior rooms available, but no kettles available to help me out? Or maybe a microwave? This really not a 4 stars hotel, it’s midnight and there is no room service after anymore, they close at 22:00!!! Who needs a room service before 22:00 anyway?? You’d better go for a 3 stars hotel which provides a 3 stars service than coming here for a motel standard service! Good luck
The hotel was comfortable and Clean we enjoyed our stay. Photo from outside. Breakfast was ok quite a lot of choice. Difficult to get a drink in the day time. Bar has a phone to call for assistance but that didnt work so had to go up a ask at reception every time you wanted a drink
We booked via Luxury Escapes and upgraded to 7 nights in a room with balcony. The hotel is great with fantastic food (we stayed with full board). Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful. The highlight was Ernest who worked the restaurant floor. That guy is the face of the hotel- such a great personality who cares for the hotel's customers. We used this hotel as our base whilst we explored Tuscany in our hire car. The hotel has free parking too. Would recommend
We got a 5 night Luxury Escape package which was real value for money. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and we even had rose petals on our bed. We loved having a balcony, but unfortunately only had time to use it once. Cable TV had a wide selection of channels to choose from. Reception was always on hand to help even at odd hours, whether it be with changing the language on the TV or extra towels. Ernest and his team provided excellent service both in the restaurant and the bar - they were professional, accommodating and attentive, despite being clearly understaffed (especially when there were big tour groups, which was almost every night). The steak we ordered on the last night was excellent, but some of the other dishes varied in quality between nights (daily included dinners from the same menu meant that we ordered a few of the same dishes more than once). Nights where the restaurant was full also meant some dishes took awhile to come out. The hotel itself is close enough to the train station (3 mins by taxi) and town centre (bus stop is directly outside the hotel, and you can buy tickets at Reception). Lovely place to stay to explore the Chianti region, and we even managed to squeeze in a shopping day trip to Florence from here.
We were a family of 5 getting together for the Luxury Escape 5-night deal. We were pleasantly surprised with the decor of the hotel and very pleased our 3 female family members booked in the same room, were given an inter-connecting bedroom for the 3rd female [top marks there!] We had a hiccup one night dining [with the complimentary dinners deal] when we were the first table seated but last in every way being attended to. After approaching the Reception Staff, we were from then on given VIP treatment & a different prominent allocated table. Can't speak more highly of the professional & sensitive way this was handled. All the reception staff during our stay were extremely informative & readily assisted with taxi calls & what tourist spots to visit. We were also pleased to use the corner lounge area for family chats [& happy hour] which the staff were more than willing to allow & for this reason am giving 4 stars for service.
