We were here for a week in this 4* hotel courtesy of a deal through Luxury Escapes. We had used Luxury Escapes in Asia so our initial impressions were a little disappointing because previously they had been 5*, lifting our expectations, but this is Europe. Once we got over that hiccup, and got over ourselves with a few good Italian gestures and waving of arms, we loved it. ALL the staff were gracious and helpful. Because the hotel has most nights 1 or 2 bus loads of grumpy German tourists that run on time like a cuckoo clock, we either had our evening meal early or stayed out late, eating after they were done. The beautiful staff at the front desk had warned us and so we never had any major concerns after our first night. While we were there, most of the other guests appeared to be on packages like us, so a good time was had sharing the experiences of the day. We had no car, so it was very convenient to have the bus ( although not always predictable) stop right outside the front door of the hotel and be able to buy tickets at the front desk of the hotel. The bus takes you past the train station on the way into the central bus terminal. So we used the hotel as a base to train to Firenze and bus to San Gimignano as well as of course the beautiful Siena. The room was fresh and well appointed but the view from the balcony was of the car park and neighbouring buildings. For us the package was great value and the hotel was well situated for our travel experience. The staff from the cleaners,to the front desk and especially the waiters/waitresses were cheerful and obliging in all dealings they had with us, which we didn’t always experience in some of the other “touristy “ parts of Siena. The front desk staff I must commend for the great patience, I watched them courteously show on many occasions. So yes,I would and already have, recommended this hotel to others.
I have a coupon for this hotel when I wanted to use it saying that there is no free term by the end of August, although I can reserve the hotel on almost every website of the shame for the hotel and I advise not to make reservations with them.
We stayed here whilst doing Strava Bianch. The staff, were ALL friendly & helpful. The rooms are fine, the beds especially comfortable. Just outside the hotel is a bus stop to get you into the centre of the old town in about 15 mins. A great stay, and highly recommended.
We stayed in this hotel for one night. The room was big enough, we had space for a baby crib (first the hotel offered us a extra bed, but our baby is too small for a normal bed - 1 year and a half). The room has nothing special. Although it is winter, the bed was covered only by a sheet, so we had to search for a blanket to put on us because in the room was a little bit cold and the air conditioning was very noisy so we had to stop it. The bathroom has a shower cabin (small) and a bidet, but everything seemed old. The product offered by the hotel were a few (soap and shower gel). Although almost every 4 star hotel has a kettle (an electric pot to boil the water), this one has it only in the upgraded rooms, not in every room. We had to ask for one, for our baby’s formula. After they put it in our room, we had to unplug fora few minutes the fridge to use the plug because no other plug fit. :) We asked for an umbrella because it was raining and the hotel didn’t had (it is maybe 2 euro at a cheap market, it is not something expensive, like the kettle too). This are small details but they can make de difference. The breakfast was ok, and the coffee, by choice, good. The parking was free. The hotel it’s a little far away from the objectives, you have to go by bus or by car (15 minutes ride by car, 4 kilometer).
Stayed for 5 nights in the Hotel Executive. We upgraded to the room with a balcony which was rather disappointing as we never used it, overlooked a car park and housing. Internet wasn’t reliable either but what we did love was the dining room. Breakfasts were fantastic and the dinners even better. The staff were very friendly, especially Ernest who gave us great tips about visiting the area, especially the thermal baths close to Siena.
Just finished a 5 day stay in the Hotel Executive in Siena. First impressions were good with the building looking new and modern and it got better when we checked in. The receptionists spoke English and were super efficient and helpful, both at check-in and during our stay. The room was a reasonable size, very clean and equipped with everything we required. Our package included breakfast and dinner and both were very good with tasty food, plenty to choose from the breakfast buffet and dinner menu and the staff were attentive and professional and also spoke English. The city is a kilometre is so from the hotel but is easily accessed. We tried the bus once which worked out okay but the taxi fare was only 6-8 euros and was faster and much more comfortable. It was great value for money and we would happily stay at the Hotel Executive if we visit Siena again.
Stayed for five day package great front desk service and then there is Ernest - he went out of his way to make our stay special and he did - remarkable service The facilities are clean and modern the water pressure is poor but shower was good. Travel by bus to the city buy tickets at the front desk and get on bus right out the front. Love the place
The staff here are super efficient and friendly. Breakfast had great variety. Evening meal was good selection although dinner isn't until 7.30 pm. Ernest the waiter was so helpful with wine suggestion
Purchase local bus tickets from Hotel Reception Get off bus at the Railway Station and take the escalators into town at least once Invest in a good map, take your walking shoes - so much to see Have a calzone at one of the many fantastic restaurants in Piazza del Campo
This was the cheapest place we stayed during our three weeks in Italy and it compared favourably with hotels two and three times more expensive. 2-3 km from Piazza Del Campo, 10 minute bus ride (€1.20)from the front of the hotel or walk in (45 mins) . 5 minutes by taxi from the station. Modern well appointed rooms, good bathroom, TV, mini fridge, etc. always clean and tidy. Fantastic staff from our driver, to reception, housekeepers and of course Ernest the head waiter (?) who is building quite a profile on Trip Advisor. He made us feel special, as he did with every guest. Meals varied from OK to good - we found this in other places too. We were on on Luxury Escapes package that had some really good inclusions and it's worth checking out. No it's not in the old city and there are no views but you won't beat this hotel in terms of value for money. Would happily stay there again.
