Good place 20 min from Angkor Wat

A pretty good place for a family to stay in Siem Reap. Wifi was good except in the evenings. The breakfast buffet was large and had lots of options. $3 tuk-tuk ride to pub street. Everyone was very nice.

The staff members are very dedicated to there work and show the most up most respect to there residents but the pictures in the photo are nearly 8 years old and may differ from what you see on the website. Very easy access to transport which is called a tuk tuk and the driver are very compassionate to there passengers. To pub Street it may cost $2.50 or $2.Overall pretty good.

Stay at Sokha Roth

We had higher expectations of the place but felt underwhelmed by the overall experience. The cleanliness and condition (especially of the bathrooms) was left to be desired and we needed to get them to fix blockages of water. To give the hotel due credit they did what they could to address concerns such as blockages but I don’t believe they needed to told of these issues (by customers) The breakfast was at best ordinary and pretty much a menu tailored solely for the oriental palette The hotel is in a decent location - which was great for access to the CBD and other places

Wonderful Siem Reap

Service of a 5 star hotel! Great pool area and nice rooms! Restaurant is a bit more expensive compared to restaurants outside the hotel but the quality is also very good!

The hotel has very nice facilities including the pool. Buffet breakfast food served were tasty but very little variety. The staff are very friendly and accommodating even called the bus company for pick up to go to Phnom Penh.

The GPS on hotel.com and google maps is a bit off. It's farther away from the main roads and in a developing neighborhood. Only the manager was able to speak English. Rooms were fine. Construction work ongoing next to the pool

Great Service, Wonderful Hotel, Fantastic Staff

This is a great hotel stay for anyone visiting the temples of Angkor Wat. We spent two nights at the Sokha Roth hotel - Mr Phrom (the manager) and his staff took the best care of us, the room is comfortable, the gym and pool were good, the hotel is very new - especially for the price $25 a night. Breakfast was a huge buffet of Cambodian and western foods. We at at the hotel restuarant twice, the food was excellent. The hotel is a $2 tuk-tuk ride into town. Siem Reap, the town is nothing special, Pub Street is the center but very touristy. Suggest you ask for Mr Samorn, our tuk-tuk driver, for $15 we hired for the entire day to drive us around the temple complex and then used him the rest of the visit - just ask at the hotel front desk that you want Mr Samorn - he's great. Overall I think 3 days or so is all you need in Siem Reap to see the temples - which are spectacular - but also quite similar - I wouldn't do a whole week. The highlight of our trip was also the Cambodian Kick Boxing arena, on Wednesday afternoon for $15 you get ticket to see the kick boxing, which is televised nationally - all the tourists (there were only 8 on the day that we visited) are sat on a stage right in the front rom - the crowd of 500 or Cambodians was great to watch as they cheered and gambled on the fight. A really great afternoon.

Great staff, professional setup

I normally travel very cheap, but wanted to try something fancier, so I booked one night at the posh Regency, and another at the Sokha Roth (both for reduced price). While the significantly more expensive Regency was "nice" (I guess, but lacking soul), I loved staying at the Sokha Roth. The room was great (better than at the Regency for my taste), and staff constantly went out of their way to help making it a more than pleasant stay, and in a very sincere way. if it hadn't been above my budget, I would have loved to stay there longer. The breakfast at both hotels is great, but the Kimchi at the Sokha Roth is better :)
